Looks like a vibrant marketplace coming. Skunk Truck, Runabout, Scout, Telo.  But I'm not putting cash down on a silhouette. Waiting for the Golden Comet edition.

I also doubt that Telo thing ever does much, if it even makes it on sale...

I'm pulling for Telo. I may be the only one on this board that likes it, but I think they may be a 21st century Tucker unfortunately.

I honestly don't know much about the vehicle.......what does it do better than other competitors?

Efficient use of space with a midgate, like the Skunk Truck, and a footprint about the size of a Mini. You can carry up to 8 passengers with available options (late) or 4x8 plywood with the rear gate up. And I think they're neat lookin'. I'm a bit partial to forward cab and cabovers as my first delivery job was in an E-250 and later my first semi job I drove a Kenworth T-200 Cabover with a single sleeper.

Am I the only one that thinks mid gates are overrated? How much money is spent on engineering a mid gate, and how much extra does the manufacturing and parts for the mid gate cost? I think customers of these compact EV trucks would rather save a few thousand on price instead of including this feature that will rarely be used.

I actually like the solution Ford used for the Maverick.  The two-position tailgate works and cost very little to implement.  Mid gates seem unnecessary and costly.

They must have data that says X number of people won't consider it if they can't carry something x-feet long, so they come up with a workaround like the midgate.  I can certainly see it being useful but do agree that the majority of buyers wouldn't ever use it.

REO originally was the initials of its founder, Ransom Eli Olds. After he was sacked at GM, he started his own company, REO.

FIAT was also originally an acronym: Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino, as was SAAB: Svenska Aeroplan AktieBolaget

End hijack.

Don't forget about Kia, killed in action, which describes the car's engines.
