Yeah, I find it annoying that they've been touting that (they've even been running TV and radio commercials touting it), with how big of an issue it's been (and how it's yo-yo'd). My 2026 Aviator is the lowest quality vehicle I have ever purchased, especially the paint that Ford charges extra for. I just haven't taken the time to return it for the fixes that are required. Most seem to be software related and hopefully a reflash of the BCM will work, a front parking sensor is out also. My latest acquisition is a 2026 F150 XL regular cab short bed, who knew that just a base truck has the most comfortable seats out there. 14 hour drive home from the dealership and no back pain. Farley is a former Toyota guy they don’t know any other way to market their vehicles. It’s just old habits. Separate note, its clear to see why they don’t want to be in the Escape business. So far no defects with the F150 Body on frame trucks are and will probably continue to be the most reliable Ford-developed models. In the IMG lineup, the most or at least one of the most reliable current Ford models is probably the JMC-Ford-developed Territory and in theory the updated diesel Ranger/Everest with a timing chain instead of the oil-soaked timing belt.
