BuckinBronc
Hello all. I have been considering a new Bronco for a couple of years now. It will come down to a 2-door manual Badlands with Sasquatch, HOSS 3.0, Lux, and other goodies… or a Raptor. I test drove a used 2025 Raptor after making nice with the salesman, who was gushing over my pristine Focus RS. The Raptor was quite a ride, but I don’t know if I can get back into an automatic after driving only stick for nearly 25 years now. I haven’t tried a manual Bronco or any configuration of the 2.3 for that matter. But a manual 2-door Badlands specc’d the way I want it comes in $20k below a Raptor the way I would configure it (Code Orange and leather at the very least). So the money is a factor but it’s not everything. I like having the final versions of cars. I bought my 2018 Focus RS for that reason. 1 of just 1,000 for the final model year. Among the last of a dying breed of manual hot hatches. I may have to sell it to get a Bronco but we’ll see. It’s got everything I ever wanted in a car: six-speed manual, turbo, all-wheel drive, fast, fun, everyday usability. Ideally I get the final 2-door manual Bronco. That would seal the deal for me. I don’t know if that’s a couple years off or will Ford continue to produce the configuration into the next generation, which will be around the end of the decade I assume. I’m waiting to see what 2027 has to offer. Glad to be here! 🚙 💨 Edited August 27 by BuckinBronc
danglin
Sweet looking Focus! You definitely should drive a manual Bronco before you decide. I have a 2023 Basesquatch with 2.7 auto and had no interest in a manual, even though I have have experience with manuals. I have a 2011 Mustang GT Auto that is my baby. I would not have purchased a Bronco if I had to sell it. If you are not already there, you should join the Bronco6G forum https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/ and post the question there. You should get plenty of opinion on there! Certainly, those that love manuals, rave about the manual in the Bronco! I posted here because I love how the order guides are easily found here. It’s very difficult to find a manual Bronco to test drive, as there are so few out there. I personally have never seen a new or used one on any lot. For me, anything below the Raptor is a no-brainer; I want two doors and a manual. But if I’m not crazy for that 2.3, it’s Raptor all the way. No in between 😂.
