Just turned 53 here, born in 73. And yeah, it's funny seeing my graduating high school class post about reunions and such and thinking "look at all those old people...". 😂 We didn't Flintstones cars, but I did have a year I spent with a 2004 Taurus wagon that had see-through floors. It was a mercy killing when the repairs finally exceeded the value of repairing them, and I picked up my first ever new car, my 2018 Focus. Prior to that, it'd always been super-budget econo-boxes. With that car, I had stepped up to a BRAND NEW super-budget econo-box!
BenKohnen
Double tap, rough morning. Just saw someone on Ford Authority talking about how the white should have followed the style lines on the F-150. That would have been really goofy in reality, it was one of the things I wasn't thrilled about when I AI'd this one in July. Of course, this being a style thing, style is subjective. One thing I'd wondered is on the tailgate, the F-150 embossing... did they mask that and leave the base paint in the letters, or are those inserts? If they're inserts, color matching is going to suck unless your base color is black. From the few rear pictures, they look like vinyl inserts. I make my own, kind of recognize the little "not 100% on the lines" look the vinyls have when applied. I took a look in all the public materials for a price, looks like it hasn't been released in public yet. On the dealer side, I did see it. Not my place to "out" that info, but I got a little sticker shock. Kind of like the $4900 Black Painted Roof on the Explorer, I'm thinking my body guy can do a comparable job for a good amount less. you weren’t lying. akirby
Well Porsche charges $14k for paint to sample on 911s (300+ colors) but I doubt many will pay that on a $60k truck. Just add a wrap for the white part for a grand or so

Available via Ford Custom Garage, the brand’s in-house division for unique options and packages, the new package combines a red upper and lower body with three laser-cut accent colors that wrap around the truck’s middle section. These are Oxford White, Carbonized Gray, or Agate Black. I was just going to post this! But it's going to take more than this to finance a vehicle for 7 years! BenKohnen
Additionally, there are other configuration requirements. Must be XLT or Lariat, SuperCrew, 5.5' box/145" wheelbase. Must have Chrome Appearance Package. Must add wheel well liners and bed mat (weird requirement there). Not available with Pro Access Tailgate. I talked to our body guy yesterday and he was pretty shocked too. On that auto start-stop "feature" article, I'm not sure that's all correct. They say a truck line spokesperson says A-S-S stays on the 3.0 and 3.5 4x4? It makes sense that it's staying available, and inherently required, on the PowerBoost 3.5 hybrid. I do see in the order guide that the 3.0 and 3.5 4x4 are specifically mentioned as having an AVAILABLE California emissions (or "50 State Emissions" as it's called) option. Required if you're in CA, CO, CT, DE, ME, MD, MA, MN, NJ, NM, NY, OR, PA, RI, VT, and WA. That matches the article's Point #3 about the particle filter and lower power ratings. Now, do I think there's a possibility Ford isn't putting info out to dealers? Yup. Do I think there's a possibility some spokesperson mis-spoke? Yup. Do I think it's possible a spokesperson doesn't fully know what they're talking about? Oh yeah. Do I know for sure? Nope, not until there are 2027's in hand to know 100% for sure... and we still don't know what they actually look like yet.

Motorpsychology
I think you could get a quality white paint belt on a Ruby Red, or any base color for a lot less than 12 large.
BenKohnen
Yup, my thoughts too. Especially since that's Oxford and not Star White. Heck, you could get a good wrap done that, maybe not last as long as paint, but, would likely be a good way to roll for WAY less than $12k.
