I was wondering if there were specific job duties and/or job description for team leaders at Ford Motor company. It seems that some supervision at MTP are trying to reinvent the team leader's job description. some were told last week that they are "responsible for the people on their team to come to work". Also they are to talk to the team members if the line is down too often. This is a legitimate concern at MTP, so please respond with serious answers on this. Thanks.

I also am hetersexual. But unfortunately with the gay community they not only want us to accept their lifestyle, they want us to approve of it. That is two different things. I just don't want it shoved in my face and forced to approve.

I heard that they were going to use the turnstiles to keep track of who leaves the plant and how often. I understand that this especially applies to the skilled trades.

The last work I heard was that they were bringing back 31 people off layoff and getting rid of the AWOL abusers for good. We will see if this happens or not. Like someone said last night, the worst offenders are the ones with relatives that are high up so they have been protected. Correction! The last word that I heard. Sorry!

I just logged in. I thought I was on the wrong board. I wanted the board with interesting, thought provoking arguements and information. I found that I was on a board with a lot of immature guys who when it comes down to a discussion it always goes back to sexual parts and name calling. If this is an example of the maturity level of the auto workers, no wonder we can't build decent vehicles. I'm done.

I just called our Labor Relations Department at MTP and was told that we would be down tonight and listen to the radio for Monday. When I called the local they did not know. Security at MTP told me the same thing, down tonight, and listen for notification on Mon.

We were told last night at MTP don't report for work tomorrow night. (Friday). They also said possibly next week and maybe the week after. Ford takes another blow!

I have hear another "rumor" that by July they will be getting rid of the employees that will be getting their 10 years in. That would save Ford a ton of money. Anyone else hear that?
