  1. They already gutted the program by going from GEN to JSP, and any further molestation could render it useless for our cause. This is about preserving the middle class American working family!

How very strange. I am familiar with several working class families and none of them are paid to sit around with almost full benefits when their services were no longer needed. In fact, a few of them were layed off recently and guess what they did? The went out immediatly and sought another job!

  2. Let them keep getting their fatass pockets lined and screwing the "minions"(apparently that is what we are to them) out of money an jobs. They had just better hope they are living it up now and saving all they can because when the minions have had enough and walk away they won't be able to run the company. I've said it before and I'll say it again WE "MINIONS" ARE THE BACKBONE OF THIS COMPANY!!! They aren't going to come to the plants and do the work that is required to fill those pockets! The way they are treating us will come back to bite them in the ass!

In short, DON'T BITE THE HAND THAT FEEDS YOU! :shades:

Oh my dear little minion. How cute you are with your own self importance! Meanwhile, 18,000 applications poured into Toyota for approximatly 2000 non-union assembly line positions here in Indiana.

I will say, however, that I must congratulate you and your fellow workers for the fine job you are doing. I recently purchased a Lincoln MKZ and it just seems put together so much better than my previous Ford, Mercury and Lincolns.

  3. Maybe he was there with them(if its true). Wow with the graphics and if the language gets any worse he might morph into a 3 headed monster called Level-Captain-Wakeup !! LOL !!

My thoughts exactly. Or perhaps a fear that he/she is concerned at being observed tilting one back during business hours and is thinking of ways to justify it if confronted.

    What an amusing little thread!

  4. Oh dear. Another example of an ingrate.

My dear, as you are obviously vertically challenged and were offered assistance to perform your duties, perhaps you should cease attempting to find a way to expect others to move the ramp created specifically for your needs and show your appreciation by removing it yourself.

That or perhaps a pair of Ferragamos may be a better answer.

Oh - I just realized you probably don't know what those are. They are expensive shoes that can be bought with higher heels. They are not available at Payless.

    Taa ta!

  5. Bravo Messr. Bored of Pisteon! My initial impressions of you were incorrect. You are indeed an intelligent individual for taking the brave steps you did. Those individuals such as Messr. Captain 327 and Dork 271 obviously do not possess the where-for-all to care for themselves and instead, rely on an outdated and dying institution to make their personal decisions for them.

Well, I must run now. The hustle and bustle of the holidays are indeed in full swing! I must supervise my maid's wrapping of the final holiday gifts before I jet off to Buffy Huffingtons annual Holiday Souire. Rumor is that some of the more influential members of the Ford family may make an appearance. I will send them your best.

    Taa taa!

  6. Greetings!

Mademoiselle/Messr paris, bravo for an insightful and telling post! Unfortunately, some of those people do indeed believe they are more important than they actually are.

I do believe, however, that a larger incentive might be in order this time around so as to speed the process of eliminating un-needed worker bees. Perhaps a stipend of say $150,000 and a year of free health insurance would take care of the unfortunate situation.

Well, time now to dash. I am jetting to New York this afternoon for a week of shopping, fine dining and meetings at the Ford Foundation and have yet to direct my maid to pack my belongings!

    Taa taa!

  7. Never mind this little titmouse, Messr. Scotty. Poor OAC Sparky in fact is bored with his drab existence and frustrated that he has never been able to satisfy a woman. To overcome his shortcomings, he attempts to be clever on internet chat boards with those of a higher quality than he.

As you can see, his efforts are in vain.

  8. With Corporate Greed, lack of giving the public what they want ,AND a union who wants it all at all cost from the company, the US auto industry is done.

Blame free trade,Blame the company, Blame the union,Blame the government, Blame the consumer, Does not matter, the world has changed and GM,Ford,Chrysler, and the UAW had better change too ( if it's not to late).

As a consumer i believe that the auto workers work hard and do a great job. BUT how much sympathy can we have when we here about (job banks) where people don't work for a year and still get paid, because it's in the contract ? Or they want Job Protections. The average JOE goes to work and can be let go at any moment,so they work hard and hopefully they are respected and rewarded for thier efforts.

I love my Two new fords, but i can always buy a Toyota next time, if Ford is not around

Bravo sir! I finely written and well thought out observation.

  9. Yes he is!!! If Clinton made so many mistakes why hasn't the dick fixed them. Maybe because the foreign ties he has doesn't want them fixed. He has spent the most ever of all past presidents added up and thats our tax money we payed in. I remember most of us in the factory made big money under Clinton I averaged 90k a year under Clinton and I've had the most layoffs under dick. Maybe I should apply to Haliburton, oh wait they made there money from our taxes are are now moving to Dubai, go dick and bush.

$90,000 a year to take piece A and attach it to part B?

And people question why the American Car Companies are in such dire straights. :banghead:

NAFTA is our only hope of saving the industry.

  10. Save your breath, Melanie didn't pay for her Mustang, she got it out of her divorce, just like she got everything else in her life, including her education.

The only hard work she did to get it was on her back. Until her man felt she wasn't worth the time and went elsewhere. She's still bitter about that. Ask her. That's why she still comes here. She gets verbally spanked, runs away for a few weeks then comes back to skulk. It's her way of making herself feel better by putting line workers down, must be frustrating that none of us would give her the time of day in the real world.

Oh my dear little man, you and your cohorts have yet to "spank" me as you would like to believe. Unfortunatly in your tiny pea brains, when you make insults or use vulgarity you claim that as some sort of victory when in fact, you just continue to feed into the stereotype of the uneducated blue collar worker with plumbers behind. Sad really.

I'm not bitter at all. I am thrilled with the way things turned out. Unfortunatly, your other assumptions about my education and what has happened after my divorce are quite ill informed. However, I have learned to expect that out of an individual who continually makes statements with only half of the facts.

And I am sorry that you miss me when I am away but I do travel a great deal and contrary to what you may believe, I do not plan my life around these little boards. As apparently you do according to the number of posts you have made on here. But I will make an effort to stop by more often, if anything just to quell the misconception that you have "gotton the best of me."

    Taa taa!

  11. you think the republicans are any different ? you think this is a surprise ?

HA you are one dumb bitch!

Oh dear. Your ignorance is showing again. You really should shush a little more often so your stupidity isn't as apparent.

I just stated that the former Speakers plane - that Speaker having been a Republican - is not good enough for Madame Pelosi.

  12. Greetings!

I just heard a little tid bit that just seems so apropos for this little forum.

It seems that our new esteemed Speaker of The House (you recall - the one who tried to protect her San Francisco business constituents by not including American Samoa in the minimum wage bill) now feels that the jet used by the former Speaker is just not adequate and has demanded that a jet befitting a queen be provided by the United States for her personal use.

And people say that I am extravagant by flying first class all the time.

  13. Well first of all I am no longer an employee. I took the buyout and it is taking the company so far 5 weeks to print out checks. Second, the company is in terrible shape and has gotten rid of over 30,000 workers to trim costs and now they want to give upper managment bonuses to boost morale while at the same time not giving two shits about it's true work force, the "white coller". And lastly, if you did work on an assembly line for a while, say 13 years like myself, you would understand the "perks that we do have and how hard the union has worked to give us those benefits. I doubt you would last on the line. Also, the membership will most likly take more cuts in the upcoming contract talks. Please don't make comments on things you have no knowledge.

Indeed, a very valid point of which I agree with you. I am sure that there are many white collar individuals who would not last on an assembly line.

Conversely, I am sure you would agree that many on the assembly line individuals would not last in the white collar positions in question here. That becomes painfully evident with some of the posts that are made on this little board.

So it comes down to economics and in this situation, a bonus of some sort is indeed appropriate for the white collar workers in question that the company needs. As stated earlier, it is much easier to replace an assembly line worker than a good white collar worker. The fact that temporary employees will be taking many of the former union positions is evidence of this.

White collar workers do not have any union protectionism, making them vulnerable to being dismissed in layoffs, bad job performance, excessive absenses from work or for that matter, breaking Ford rules while performing their duties. So any way that the company can boost their morale and let them know that they are indeed valuable during this time of reconstruction is applaudable. A bonus is highly appropriate.

  14. I really hope the International jumps all over this subject. If we (hourly) are getting screwed then they (salary) should not get that bonus. And I don't want to hear any bullshit about they are trying to keep talented people. There are thousands of us hourly workers just as talented or better. :yup:

True my dear. However, many of these individuals who will receive bonuses are not as easily replaceable as the line worker.

Besides, you don't have it so bad. White Collar Workers, not unionized, can much more easily be terminated and at a much lower cost than those associated with the United Auto Workers. Not to mention the other outrageous perks that the UAW workers enjoy.

So all in all, it balances out.
