  1. is the buyout going to be any higher than the last one? It's the only way they will get more people to leave.
  2. What is flowback?? I think they are looking for more buyouts with you all. If it's no higher than the last one I don't seem them getting the numbers.
  3. more layoffs and a 4 year wage freeze!
  4. 79% voted in favor for it. You get what you voted for!
  5. I have no idea, i thought more people would have voted. don't vote, don't bitch!
  6. at DTP a-crew will work mon-thur like normal and get an extra day of holiday pay. b and c-crew will get the day off being paid 10 hrs for the day.
  7. DTP 546-yes 142-no that is out of 3100 people at the plant. according to detnews.com 3500 people out out of 8000 voted out of local 600.
  8. I like the 3 days off but 10 hrs does make it a long day. I'm not greedy, 40 hrs a week is good for me!
  9. If the union is anything like it is here at DTP, MANAGEMENT!
  10. not sure how it is at the other plants but at DTP is you have used up all your personal and vacation time, you are shit out of luck! you have to get a form filled out and signed by management and they can still turn it down. you have to take an awol, as long as you are not pos you are ok.
  11. and also when they transfer if they cant sell their home Ford buys it. Not bad considering how the market is now!
  12. you think we are only worth 10% of the previous offer. :kissass:
  13. You dont seem happy about anything, are you taking the buyout?
  14. I think there is about 100 people in gen at Norfolk but they have only been milking it since June not years. I do agree that it is time to move on!
  15. I know you are lucky if half the people at a plant vote but you would be surprised about the turn out if it came to taking a pay cut or not.
  16. All we can do is take one contract at a time so until next contract majority will be 80% to 20%. If they want to try and change it within the four years we will still get to vote on it STILL with a majority of 80% to 20%.
  17. The lower paid workers can not be more than 20% of our workforce, so if there was ever a vote to lower our pay to the scale they are going to be at it would get voted down by the other 80% of the workforce!
  18. This is something I've posted under another topic on here is my problem is with the time table to get to the pay we are at. Ford has a young workforce, it might be some years down the road before one of the lower paid workers reach our scale and I'm talking about longer than the 3 yrs it takes now.
  19. There is no time table set to get the pay we are at. Ford has a young work force, the average seniority at DTP is around 10-12 years. It could of been better if they would have negotiated a time table on this pay system and not just be stuck on it waiting to be on the bubble of the 20%.
  20. uuummmm that is what we are talking about correct???? N.A.???? not the rest of the world, like i said before they are not building what the customer wants here in NORTH AMERICA!!!!!!! not yet anyway
  21. I didn't say they couldn't but right now they are not building what the customer wants.
  22. If some of these plants started building smaller vehicles and customers were buying them up, Ford still has too many plants! There is too much competition out there, wether we vote yes or no for this contract they are still going to shut them down. Now which ones who knows  plants with 2 or 3 shifts get ready some cuts are coming, just my 2 cents
  23. What should they do? keep the plants open and just keep on building what people are not buying.
