It wad built on January 10. Shipped same day. Currently on a train in Kentucky. Dealer ETA is January 20th to 26th.

That's a nice looking Chevy.
Don't you mean Tundra?
-
What's the purpose of it anyway?
Probably mostly aesthetics, to make it look tougher. Could provide some extra rollover protection.

Ok ford enuff of this faux suv performance crap...just build a reliable suv and be done with it...id like water pumps to last longer than 30k miles in the explorer for starters
I want one that doesn't force me to trade it in after 14 months because my issues can't be fixed.
My '11 Escape is rock solid though. My '17 sure wasn't.

Can someone look up the status of my Expedition Max order? Same situation as back21. Ordered on Nov 30, priority 10.
Dealer - CB7034
Order - 0001
Much appreciated.
Hi Pioneer.
Yes - I am in Canada.
Dealer Name is Watkin Motors Ford. (Vernon, British Columbia)
Thanks for looking into it.
OK. It wasn't the dealer code. It was the order number. It's P003 not 0001. They have 6 units on order. 1 has been delivered, 1 is in production. The other 4 are unscheduled, and the only one that was ordered on November 30th is on the top of the list.

I hope that stupid looking bar isnt an option here
I hope you're talking about the grille, but I'm sure you're thinking of the roll bar.

Are you in Canada? The system doesn't like your dealer number.
What is the name of the dealer you ordered from?

Spotted about half an hour ago very close to where I live. If this isn't the US version, I don't know what is. Wish there was a better pic of the front end but that's all I have. That 3.2 badge on the fender is curious...

Edit: Comparing it with other pics out there, I don't think it's our version.
Looks like the rear bumper is a little twisted.

Wouldn't it be funny if it was a Transit Connect?

Still broke down.

I'm hearing Bronco got bumped back a model year. Hear anything Fuzzy?

thats what I said. Production has to begin in the prior calendar year.
You can launch a 2019 model on December 31st 2019 if you wanted. But at 12:01am January 1st, the vehicles coming off the line VIN's better reflect it's a 2020 model.
If you're right and the Ranger is a 2019, and it's not on sale before the end of this year, then 2019 is going to be a short model run. Should just launch it as a 2020 then.

I recently rented a well appointed Fusion Ecoboost - everyone who came near that car complimented it and the performance was outstanding. I find it extremely hard to believe that this Honda or a Camry is in any way a better car than the Fusion. Maybe a bit more room in the back seat, but "better" - I'm not buying that. I think that Honda and Toyota have the luxury of their customers not cross-shopping. They simply go to a Toyota or Honda Dealer on a Saturday and buy a car. They have no idea what else even exists.
I had the same experience. I was surprised to find a Fusion Titanium AWD available when we went to Florida in December. Only had 3k miles on it. Was a great car. Black exterior with tan interior. There were times we took that instead of my Dad's Explorer to keep miles off of it, and with 5 adults, nobody in the back seat complained about needing any more room. Would have considered buying one except the VIN started with a 3.

Same here. Ford relied on just the 0% financing and did nothing for year end incentives.
They were pretty nice on the Escape. Nice enough for me to take the loss on a 14 month old 2017 and trade up to a 2018.

you talking about this week and next week?
Theyre starting with some of the construction for changeover these 2 weeks and they cant have any of the lines running to do it.
Maybe. Been awhile since I've checked.
-
That sucks, is that to do with Ford losing patience with Focus production, or are they that terrible with plant changeover?
Good question. Funny thing is, IIRC, there are scheduled down weeks for MAP. I would think you'd want to just work straight through and shut down earlier.
But that's me.
-
When is last call on Focus April / May or later than that?
May 3rd.
-
Job 1 is late November
Hard to imagine it's going to take almost 7 months to change that plant over.

It can also depend too on how the shipping company handles things too. For instance if you buy a Focus or C-Max, it might have close to 25 miles on it if they drove it to the holding yard at Flat Rock Assembly. The only reason I know its 25 miles because I live nearby and work at MAP where the Focus is built and I drive 50 miles round trip to and from work.
Why they do this, Im not sure, probably because theres way more loading ramps for trains at a FRAP (2 different sets of ramps, Im not sure how many exactly. I should try to count as I drive by one day) vs the 4 at MAP, and its access to a different railroad, CSX and Norfolk Southern both service tracks surrounding MAP (CSX owns a small yard right next door) and Canadian National owns the much bigger yard that borders FRAP.
They drive them to DTP too. They also load and unload behind the Marathon oil refinery. I've seen Focus, Flex and Edge at DTP, and every kind of vehicles behind Marathon.

Do we really need 3 separate Ranger threads all going at once?
At least they are all in the correct forum.

I ordered a 2018 Platinum Expy last August. It was built on 12-01-2017 and is shown on COTUS as awaiting shipment since then. We have plans to take it on an extended trip in a couple of weeks. Apparently my dealer is not able to get a delivery date. This is very frustrating since I have found other Expys (stock orders) showing up in dealerships around the state. Several have higher VIN numbers which is curious. Is there a Ford Customer Service number I could call to find out when my vehicle will be here? The window sticker shows it is a Special Order and will ship by Convoy.
They all show they are going to ship by convoy. VIN numbers are not built in sequence. Stock orders are built before special orders when a model first launches.
I don't know of a phone number you could call, but if you post the VIN I could look it up for you.

Nimitz?
Sure, we could do carrier classes.
Yorktown, Enterprise and Lexington.
There is a Ranger and Ford class, but those wouldn't be used for Lincoln.
-
Lincoln is also very strong in Michigan
Only because a bunch of people get them on "A" plan.
-
Lincoln needs 2 or 3 more SUVs ASAP.
Nina, Pinta, Santa Maria?
Titanic Britannic and Olympic?
Los Angeles, Ohio, Seawolf?
