  1. How come Chrysler employee's are receiving a better BUYOUT options than FORD? Chrysler is offering $75,000 cash and $25,000 car voucher to all employees. Also, plants that are closing are receiving $115,000 cash and $25,000 car voucher. Oh and employee's eligible for retiring $50,000 cash and $25,000 car voucher. Please VOTE NO! The Current BUYOUT offers should at least match Chrysler offer.

I dont get it, their getting government funding but receiving better buyout packages. Once again FORD UAW negotiating Brilliance. VOTE NO!

    SmokaJoe,

You haven't been here long but I have been telling these people for a LONG time that the buyouts were NOT going to get any higher. I personally think that you are not worth the current offer, let alone the past lucrative offers that many took. However, they are now available once again. If you are a Ford employee and would like to leave the company, take the current offer. You missed the best one already. If you dont want to take the current offer, go to work and quit your bitching. And produce quality work please.

  2. i.e. The company awarded the bid to the contractor without following the contract and is now pulling it back, but the vendor is going to be in charge of getting any material and provide technical assistance needed (Ford management = matrix coordinators) for the job because they already gave a portion of the money approved to the vendor. So Ford ME's want them there, even if they just stand there. Not to mention, Ford ME's would rather chew their arm off, than trying to navigate the Ford purchasing system (approval process)

    Universal playbook

Hey Level here's a cost saving's opportunity, fix the purchasing system

    nvsked,

I like you. You are the only one on this thread who actually acys like they have some facts to present. Do the work but make sure you stay within the budget the union said you could do it in. Otherwise, well, you know the otherwise.

Also, just as a suggestion. Have your Skilled Trades bargaining commiteeperson try to develop a better relationship with the plant IE's. It may prove more fruitful in the future.

  3. My understanding is that they are taking down the concrete walls and ripping up the floor. I dont know if they are putting in the new line.

    C'mon people!

Is anybody actually at the Sterling facility who knows the facts?

Are any of you who are posting, and "threatening" strikes, actually employed at the Sterling facility?

Your "understanding" is, that they are doing work that your M/W's and P/Frs should be doing? Give me a break!

You asked me if I was actually a Ford employee and you dont even have the minor details about something you are "willing" to strike over? Wow.

I guess I will have to quote one of our old "friends". WTF???

And, just so that there is no mis-understanding, Ford Motor Company blood has ran through my veins for my entire life! I have been posting in this "employee only" section for years now. You dont have even the basic facts about what you speak of and you want to question my employment status?

Maybe this is an example of why the union has lost so much of it's clout. Grandmaster, you are certainly self proclaimed!

I should have expected these knit-wit posts from somebody that has chosen a name like that.

You are now to be re-named to Grandmaster Bater!

  4. The Company is getting 15 days notice after the contractors come in. Then if they do not stop work, we go on strike. Sterling bid the job for $600,000 but Ford is going to pay the contractors 1 million to complete the job. This is not bullshit! This is not Dooley! There is no reason at all to have contractors come in and do this work, and if it takes a strike to get that through their heads then so be it!

I have to say; you guys provide a lot of laughs for some of us. One question Grandmaster, "what turnip truck did you fall off of?"

    Get your facts.

Your international union has not authorized you to do squat!

You go on strike, you get fired!

    It's that simple.

  5. Your point is taken. I'll argue the fact that it's not the goverments job to manage any kind of business. But your right Americans won't see it that way. CNBC thinks the Goverment will come to the aid of the Big 3.

The government will absolutely come to the aid of the big 3. The ironic part is going to be that George Bush will be instrumental in the whole thing. The one who the UAW hates the most will be the one who ultimately provides them the relief they seek.

  6. Go tell that to other people out of work, like my wife & I who are both out of work. Fuck the Republicans and fuck every single person who keeps supporting them and their phony social conservatism and phony patriotism issues. You've got jackasses like McConnell and Bunning, with two Ford assembly plants in their backyard, going against them in favor of Toyota.

Debate what? UAW pay cuts to supposedly bring the Big Three in line with the transplants? If the transplants currently have a financial advantage over the Big Three, what kind of fucking idiot doesn't understand that they will act after UAW pay cuts to keep their advantage, including pay cuts of their own? All they have to do is look to what Toyota said after this current contract was ratified last fall - they would act to keep their cost advantage. The Southern Republicans were union busting, plain and simple.

I have been quiet for a long time but I think that it is time to add a couple of remarks. I have been critical of the UAW for taking sides in political elections for a long time. The results of the bailout proposal are exactly why you should never have gotten into politics. You cannot spend millions of dollars supporting democrats and openly campaigning against republicans and then expect the republicans to throw you a bone when you are down and out.

The UAW will go down in history as the reason for the domestic auto industry failure. This is a fact. It is already happening and the national radio stations are talking about it today.

Now, you can say F*ck them, I dont care, or its managements fault, or whatever you like, but the refusal of the UAW to take consessions in order to save their industry will be what is written in the history books.

The domestic auto sales will also continue to slide. The American public has been very attentive to what has been going on and they are outraged by what is being viewed as greed by the UAW workforce.

When the economy picks back up, and it will; the domestic auto industry will continue to struggle because of the way the workers of the big 3 are viewed by the people of this country. The people will not support you by buying our cars. That is, assuming that there will even be a domestic auto industry. I personally doubt that there will be much of one after this.

Now, write up all of the f*ck you paris's you want. It wont change these facts.

  7. Never ONCE has Level purported to be this 'Irep' NOT ONCE.

Level has given honest answers when someone has asked a question. Has even gone and looked for the correct answer.

paris on the other hand is nothing but a SHIT STIRRER.

How paris operates is they want to cause some type of dissention such as this,, then it will go back thru your posts to find something to use on you.. make it sound like they have deep knowledge of you. Ask questions that don't even deal with the topic. Even has another account on here also.

Like this one here, they feel it's that they can make the truth out of repeating a lie..

Oh yea. I might have a short sign in date,, but most read and then make an account to post.

Take NOTHING from paris with a grain of salt.. Level was totally correct. If they were who they purported to be, the powers within Ford would have fired that bathroom toilet bowl licker a long time ago.

I personally don't care what goes on, on another site. I'll take my chances here with the info I get here... as for paris.. pay no attention to that dipwad behind the curtain.

    Oh come on now Critic,

Who have I ever "purported" to be? Have you ever heard me tell anything that I heard in that bathroom you mention? Im not trying to "cause some type of dissention". I like to give the people who try to pass themselves off as "in the know" a hard time. Level is only the latest. I have to admit, most of the things he tells you are factual. I just dont like some of these guys who mislead people. I might be an asshole, but, I wont come on here and feed you bullsh*t. I actually do like Level. :shades: He is so entertaining with some of his responses. Especially when he gets upset. He spends too much of his time on that computer though. Oops.

Maybe I work at AAI too.

    Maybe not though.

By the way, we all know you have been here much longer than your "Critic" "sign in date".

  8. Yes mention my plant you idiot, the one I used to be at. I was promoted a long time ago. Do you think I know these things because I am working in a plant?

You are dumber than I thought. I don't even think this is the same paris that was on before. She said she was going away for a year.

Also, as Hendew has stated, I know everyones IP address here on this site. Why would I need them again?

Thousands of people can share the same IP address, especially on Yahoo and sites like that.

You don't want the UAW members to go to the Members only site, because then you can't stir the shit and keep your nose in it.

Here is the problem with your little dissertation. A real Union member doesn't care.

These people are welcome and will have no problem on FFF

A person with a real question that needs answered....

A person who is upset and wants to vent.....

A person that wants a rumor dispelled by a reliable source...

A person that has a question to ask another member in another location....

These people will probably not want to go to FFF, but that is JMO

A person from a clandestine group that has alterior motives

    A Company fu*k

    A newspaper reporter

A Joe Public (not a member or employee)

    An anti-union group or cause

As you can see paris, there are only a few things you can be, or a mix of several......but you are not in the first group, or a member of FFF...........ever.

    Wait a minute,

Is this the same level that told everyone he isn't an Irep? Are you saying now that you are?( by Irep, you dont have to be a servicing rep to have this title) You were "promoted" to this new position? I thought you guys voted for your leaders?

Hey Level, are you a company fu*k?

Why do I feel as though we have had this conversation b4? :shades:

Are you certain that I am not on your new site? Are you certain that I am NOT an Irep?

I know that is a lot to digest. You threw me for a loop with the promoted comment. Please answer.

  9. Ima,

    Thanks for the confidence brother!

Apparently we disagree on more than I thought. I will never agree with assh0le paris, and I will never agree that the public needs to see our ugly side. As much as I enjoy reading some of your rants, this has me dissappointed. You and I had a lot of good dialogue during negotiations, I appreciated it. You disagreed with a lot of things, I listened. I did not browbeat you, find out who you were and threaten you, etc...

The person I am accused of browbeating is a lunatic that happens to be unecessarily degrading a friend of mine undeservedly. This was a personal thing, not business, and not anyone else's business. I am probably wrong for breaking my usual Method of operation.

paris just saw an opportunity to stir the shit between union members becuase that is what the low life piece of crap does.

    If she really was management.......

and she really believed that I can find out who people are.......

she would be shitting her capris right now, cause Ford would have her fired.

Don't fall for that shit Ima and allow her to pit you against me or any others. And don't doubt my integrity. I didn't start FFF, I was asked to help to ensure good info and correct answers go out. That is all, I want nothing else. I don't give a fuk what anyone says or who they are, as long as they are a union member. But I am not taking shit from anyone else, especially paris.

Level you are a lying piece of crap!

You guys are watching I.P. addresses like they are gold plated. Don't come back on BON and try to tell people you are not.

The instant Furious1Auto can prove that an I.P. address (VISITED) you guy's site from a computer in Dearborn, he and YOU will tell the world. I know how your game is working. I can't even visit your site without my I.P. showing up. Do you really think that I am that stupid?

I haven't said anything about it because it hasn't been an issue. But, I will now!

What people need to understand about YOUR site and all other web sites for that matter, are that you can't really tell who the person is that has clicked onto your site but, you can get their I.P. address.

With that address you can tell many things about that person. The town that the computer's server is located in, is only one of many things that can be seen.

This is what I am talking about Level. Don't come on here and try to lie to these people about it. You are watching I.P addresses and people dont think they have been seen because they didn't actually set up a user name and password. They don't realize that they don't have to, for you to know where they are from.

    Now,

As far you "never agreeing with asshole paris", that is one reason you will likely stay there where you are. Should I mention your plant? You wont make it to the position you covet with your attitude the way it is right now.

  10. Paris....I thought this was the picture off your badge!! :hysterical:

These pages on this forum does not go back far enough, but if it did you would see Level and Furious did not even like each other. they didn't see eye to eye. This site was not started by both of them. It was started by furious and given to the likes of level to give information. If someone has their own veiws on subjects or issues who in the heck cares. As long as you are a UAW member no one cares what you say, but there will be others who will have a difference of opinion. Whats the big deal. Will your feelings get hurt or something??

    Captain723,

    I remember.

  11. I agree, most Americans only give a damn about their little corner of the world. However, there will be a domino effect of the Big Three fold. I see the Japanese- having bought political favor and running the competition out of business- offshoring due to pressure from China in the coming decades. The end result: the auto industry will go like appliances- a few manufacturers selling a limited range of vehichles at low prices.

What John McLame, and these other "free marketeers" believe that having the auto industry fold and simply "retraining" people to work in lower-wage service jobs also destroys the national economy. The service jobs pay far less money (less income taxes to the fed and states), and the little office in the strip mall pays less property taxes to the community as opposed to the large manufacturing plants (less money for schools= fewer teachers and larger classes, and lower quality education).

This country was built on industry- it was the backbone of our economy. It is a shame that our politicians do not see it that way.

The politicians actually understand more than you give them credit for. The reality of the political world is that the vast majority of their supporters do not sympathize with the plight of the domestic auto industry.

It still boils down to the premise that this country was born upon. Free competition and survival of the fittest. The bulk of the general public see the issues with the domestic players in all of the varied industries. They actually understand much more than you give them credit for. You have to understand that when the bulk of the people decide to make a major purchase such as an automobile, they base their decision to purchase on the same criteria that you or I would. What can I buy to get the most for my money? They then proceed to check out all available products and make a decision based strictly on "the most for the money" premise without any regard for the plight of the industry based here in the United States.

Why do they do that? Why don't they have the loyalty to the country and to the domestic manfacturers that we think they should? The fact is, they never have had that type of attitude. The general public has, and will always make a purchasing decision based upon what they percieve to be the greatest value for the money they are able to spend. The reason that we had an extreemely high market share years ago was simply the fact that there were very limited choices if you needed a new vehicle. Now there are many.

As you mentioned, the same thing happened to the appliance industry. There are very few left. The politicians didn't sympathize with them too much either. It's because the general public doesn't sympathize with them. If Suzuki offers a 7 year, 100K mile warranty, the public expects us all to follow that lead.

Managing the risks accociated with the potential warranty costs for some of those programs has been something that we have not been able to do. Nor do I percieve us being able to provide some of those offers in the future.

To make matters worse, the domestic auto industry in particular is viewed through a magnifying glass by the general public. The wages you make. The benefits you recieve. The general work conditions that our workers have, are all looked upon as excessive. Like it or not, these are true statements. Whenever a new contract is negotiated, the general public has complete access to all of the information. The people know exactly how much money each of you make. They also know the extent of the benefit package you recieve. They look at the price of our vehicle and say, "Im not paying extra for a domestic vehicle so I can fund those people's cush lifestyles".

Again, these are facts and not just a way for me to make it look like it's the union's fault.

What we have to do is to look at the situation through eyes that can trully see the realities of it. Don't ever expect the general public to purchase one of our vehicles because they are helping out the country, or the domestic industry. People just don't think that way. We must as a group, change the perspective of the general public in this country. We are not a bunch of overpaid people looking to the american public for sympathy. We must convey the message that our products are in fact, better quality than our competition. Do you guys remember the commercial that was on television a while back that was saying that Ford is "now equal to Toyota in quality"? Im telling you that if I had my way, I would have fired every one of those people on that marketing team that developed that slogan. And, the people who authorized it to be aired on television! The fact is, we have produced the same quality vehicle, or better than Toyota for years. That commercial only made it look like every person who bought one of our vehicles up until that point, had something inferior. Yes, that pissed me off.

Look at the Germans. They have had their share of quality issues with all of their vehicles. BMW has problems with their cars running on Ethanol. They bring $100K vehicles to the service department on flatbed trucks that wont run at all because their owner pumped gas into the car that contained Ethanol. Have you ever heard of that? Hell no you haven't. And, you wont. Because they know that perception means everything. Doesn't everybody know that BMW sets the standard for everybody else? Of course they do. What you dont know is that their service departments are full all of the time! Perception. They don't run out and tell the world that they have problems. They don't tell thier neighbors that their cars are junk. They don't sit in bars telling everyone how much money they make and how little they have to do. Their whole industry is exactly the same as ours. They have as many or more problems as we do. You just percieve that they don't.

What we need to focus on is how each of us can bring the perception to our company that we want it to have. Don't wave your paychecks in front of your neighbors. Don't sit in the bar with your company uniform on as though you are still on the clock. It comes from all of us. Change the perception now, because the company is on par with the rest of the industry in every other way. Including value!

  12. I am not trying to silence you.....I am only saying you should shut up. When you were using your sun3 ID everyone....everyone told you the same thing. Do you think that just because you change your ID name and add a few commas,,,,,,,,,,, between,,,,every,,,word,,,that you have disguised youself or your your obsession?

    We know who you are............,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

    ,,,,,,,,,

    DogDisguise.jpg

    Wow Level,

Way to beat up on a fellow union brother!

Did you get his I.D. from the new site that you and Furious1Auto started?

Posts like this will make everyone want to come to your "member only site". Kinda gives folks a warm and fuzzy feeling. That'll bring em to ya. :hysterical:

  13. GreggM,

The rumor is complete and utter bullshit as far as seniority UAW employees goes. Whoever told you that is insane.

    spears-insane.JPG

    Level,

I thought you and Furious were done with BON. Is it upsetting you that many people wont log onto your site? You really can't blame them for not wanting their I.P. addresses traced, can you?

  14. Exactly... I'm like, why should I leave.. I got over 20 yers in. I'm not going to be laid off. The longer I stay, the more Ford has to pay me. Then If they close where I work, well I'll let Ford end up paying me $45,000 to move me to where they want. And I can then stay until I'm in my late 80's and have over 50 years in. And all this time, I've been sucking on the Ford teat. 28 yrs get to sit on their ass and draw 85% til they got 30 in for a retirement, and they pay 30 yr people a full years wages just to retire.. I like the way Ford thinks.. keep all the info quiet and keep telling the employees that their no good. That what they offer to the serf's is good enough. After all- they want me out so they can pay the next person 1/2 of what I get and still less.

I'm not even worthy of working for Ford. Yea if I look at it that way. that's how I get my payback. I make Ford hate seeing me walk in the door. I can take advantage of the fine benefit's they offer while I'm on the DROT. I get to recieve all the 3% lump sums, and profit sharing checks when or if it ever happens. After all I never made all those decisions that put the company in the position it's in today.

So I'll just by-pass this package one more time. Ford's thinking put them in this position and I can see that it's the same thinking operating once again, So I'm better off not taking a package and just stick around and piss then off more. The longer I'm employeed the more kids I can put thru college and get them placed in a company to make decisions like this. Ford is always smarter than me. Right Paris?

    Critic,

This subject has been beaten to death by the union. I for one am tired of hearing the phrase, "If I get my time back"....

The time that you "want back", was time that you were laid off. Come on people! You were not working for this company during that time. We have given time to people who didn't work for it already. Enough is enough. How do you transate this into paris' being an asshole? Im trying to be realistic.

I'll throw out this question for you and I hope like hell I get a good answer. Give me a reason that Ford Motor company should compensate you for time you did not work.

I am beginning to feel like we run a charity here.

  15. It's so sad that an American like you even exists. You rarely, if ever, say anything positive; you're an all smart-ass, no-facts, shit stirrer.

Go back and read the post again Pumpmaster. He; while using some less than perfect english, slammed Mark Fields. Mark Fields couldn't have kept Wixom open if he wanted to!

Im really not trying to be a smart ass or a shit stirrer. I think the truth needs to be told occasionally. Sometimes it's not pretty.

  16. Your math is atrocious brother. Ford doesn't save...they lose buying you out. Ford funded the VEBA, so they aren't saving there on you. The new hires won't be seen for a long time...so they aren't saving by flowback at same wages...nor would they save with a new hire...whose wages will go to 16 plus with incremental raises and 3% lump sum bonuses and all the other shit you conveniently left out brother.

I am not going to go into all the details except to say that if you ever do retire early or take any type of buyout....you should never go into accounting for a living. Just a word to the wise bro. Really.

P.S. That is besides you idea being insane to begin with.

    Level,

Good post. These people who think they are worth so much need to get a serious grip on reality. Ford Motor Company compensates ALL of their employees VERY WELL. Many think they are worth more than they really are. They need to look around at the real world. Im tired of hearing about people's "lost time" from the '70's and 80's. They were LAID OFF! They didn't loose any time. They didn't work for the service credits they now want.

What the hell is up with these people?

  17. fords now says they need a plant to build the small and mid size cars in north america. wixom stopped production may 31 07. granholm and the city of wixom offered fords a total of a 138 million dollars to keep the plant open. fords said they did not need another car plant. mark fields made the call. as hindsight is always 20/20 i wonder how this rates as one of the all time blunders of fords. if they would have used the money to revamp the plant starting in june of 07 they would be ready to roll in 09. no wonder my stock has tanked!!!!!!!!!

Maybe Mark was trying to be nice and not just come out and say that "fords" doesn't want a plant in Wixom anymore.

  18. You care to explain this please? I'm not going to go back into your previous posts, where you say you don't know a Mr. Huddleston, so I'm left wondering what you mean by this. I think you just want to take a swipe at someone who posted.

Mr. Lewis garnered the same number of votes in this run off, that he had in the first election. As a UNION, we do thing's a little differently than management. When things are not going along as we expect or want, we hold our top people accountable.

With your attitude, you are a major part of Ford's problems. Luckly for the rest of us, you have just a puffed-up image of yourself, in your own mind. You'd do well to remember this new Local Chairman's name. He is exactly the type of person that will lead the UAW into the future.

Times are tough now paris, hopefully they might be bringing you a white box tomorrow and usher you out the door finally. :happy feet: :ohsnap:

    Local1111,

My comment needs no further explaination. I will give you the following to think about though.

Do you think that a different local union president will change the fate of the Indianapolis facility? Don't kid yourself. I guess I'm suprised that you even had an election for union officers. All the blue employees will be required to flowback to Ford locations as soon as positions become available. Including your new local president! What happens then?

I understand your position on holding someone accountable. That's why you are there and I am where I am. I see things differently than you do. Let me explain please. The Indianapolis facility was classified as a non core part of the business and put into the ACH group. We made it very clear from the beginning that the locations within the ACH group would be sold or closed depending upon whether a suitable buyer could be matched to the specific locations. If a buyer could not be matched to a location, the jobs were to be outsourced, and the facility closed by the end of 2008. The leadership of the UAW was involved in this process from the very beginning. Im not talking about the local leadership at plant level. Im refering to the national leadership.

Now, the way I see things are the following: You are reactionary, and therefore have the desire to place blame, or wish to have an individual to take your frustrations out on. Again, that is why you are there and I am here. Obviously, there are many in that facility who are the same as you. But, instead of having the ability to see things the way they really are, you decide that killing the messenger is the appropriate thing to do. So you decide to vote out your existing "local" president.

The sad part is, from my perspective, he was the one who actually helped to secure your jobs for up to 2 years longer than any one else, at any other ACH facility. That's what I see as unbelievable.

I watch some of the stuff you guys do, and I just have to shake my head in dis-belief.

As far as times being tough, that is correct. A white box for me however, is not in the foreseeable future. There is no such thing however, as someone who is exempt from the possibility of ax falling on them. Even uncle Bill could find himself doing more fly fishing than he already does. :shades:

  19. "Hi everyone, my name is 'paris.' I post on BON occassionally and, as you may have noticed, I want to be a plumber/pipefitter! Why? Because I love shit!

In fact, I'm a professional shit-stirer! When I post on BON, I either:

    1) start shit or,

    2) stir shit.

I don't post informed opinions or pesky things like, oh, facts. That's too hard. Have a nice day!"

    Pump,

Dont take it personal. I actually like you in a warped kind of way. :shades:

  20. Where have you been man, I posted my identity on this forum along with a picture of myself. It has been public knowledge for some time now.

You killing me with the divide and conquer tactics! It's not going to work, we have all been freinds for some time now!

    Furious1Auto,

Chill out man. I wasn't talking about you! I was talking about Pioneer and the way that Level has been treating him.

You guys are all a little sensitive.

  21. .....and you told me to stay out of it!! Let me tell you...being a VP and a President/Chairman are 2 different animals.

One has his feet up drinking coffee eating lunch and the other is getting beat down ALL DAY AND NIGHT!! Paris you know better than that sht!! :shades:

    Captain 723,

We are actually in agreement on something. I was reading this post and I noticed that donedeal was cutting the legs out from under Lewis. Then..........he endorses Dan Huddleston. I think even you guys can smell this one!!!!!!!

This guy has been cutting Lewis's ass for how long now? As how many different people? Now he turns around and runs against him. Wow. I just got to laugh at you guys and your tactics.

So much for solidarity I guess. Must be a "tradesman" of some kind. Maybe a Pipefitter. :hysterical:
