Nothing wrong with trades getting some new felt and a shiny new chipset once in a while, they work hard and without them the line wouldn't move.
It's because of trades Ford makes those profits, we'd all be out of a job without them.
Thats funny as a tradesman I give the credit to the hard working production people. Thanks for you support,

Pioneer is voting no because he can't get more money for a new card table and for that he wont change my freaking light bulbs. Thanks
I don't think that is quite the reason he stated for his no vote, but that is funny.

Well, young man I`m sure you`ll understand when I say, one main reason for my "NO" vote was and is "equal pay for equal work". I guess I`m to old and long winded when I stated to all my tier 2 sisters and brothers here at CAP that we should fight for a "four year", "In Transition" period, not as this current tentative agreement reads. If you were around during the last negotiations you will know CAP voted no against the starting of the two tiers.
Thank you for the advise, but stay in your lane young man (gangsta)
This deal is dead, lets move on. Would giving up the 8500 pay for a four year grow in period. I would be willing to do that. But we are so divided I'm not sure what others would give up to get that done. I don't think the pot is going to get bigger. But only divided up differently.

I will go farther and say Mr Williams may need to let Mr Settles take a medical leave and apoint someone else to negotiate the new tentative agreement.
-
On a local level its seems a lot of local contracts are being voted down as well. These people that negotiate for you that you keep electing back into office but yet you don't support when they ask.
It is a little crazy the way that happens time and time again.
Jimmy is the man! Thats what I think
Don't Know Mr Settles but not impressed with his handling of the 2011 contract.

But what do you think about what he posted ?
-
That may the most insightful thing I have heard this week. Triple post ?

Some people are voting no because it's a lousy contract in record profit times. We made sacrifices with the promise that we would be rewarded when things got better. They want us to forget about that. Keep the bribe money and give me real raises, stock options or whatever. Sign on bonuses and advancing profit sharing is for suckers. Give me something that will compound or will pay me premium for my premium time
3% 1st year 4% 2nd year 3% 3rd year and 4 % forth year. Everything else stays the same and you will vote yes ????

Is the the flawed tentative agreement going down more to do with all politics at the different locals ? Or a contract we just can't live with ?

So daddy was a green slate thug.
Really is that helpful. You are better then that

Stop living in the past change your name
Lol Maybe he is looking to the future. Map Home of the new ranger and bronco

I work at Map and voted for the contract. CALM DOWN The tentative agreement will be reshuffled and put in front of the membership.

Hope your right Caustic, many of the tier2 people could be wiped out , it would be a pretty shitty x mas for some. I warned my son several months ago to be prepared for the possibility for a strike. The nature of our business requires it.
-
Mathematically I don't think this one can pass. Hopefully the IUAW and ford can work something out that can pass. I surely don't want to go to the street.
-
Sorry to say this littlecountry but it doesn't look like you will be retiring this week. This puppy looks like it is going down. I am good financially into next year maybe feb or mar without taping into the long term savings. I hope they can work something out but we could be on strike soon.

Sorry to here you received a poor quality Lincoln. What was the model and year of the Lincoln you bought ? As ford employees we are responsible for doing a quality job.
-
Caustic
You are misinformed about the quality at the Wixom plant. It was one of the highest quality plants in the world when it closed. A quick Google search will show the quality awards it received the year it closed. Closing had nothing to due with quality. the same goes for Norfolk and Atlanta. Anyway that is ancient history. It is very strange how they put the investment in the highlights like it was won buy the union.

KCAP
Five points made and no name calling. The damage done to us in the 2011 contract will take several contracts to get back. To achieve the things you have laid out it will take more solidarity then we have today. With the correct leadership we will be a great union again. But like the fall it won't happen overnight. That is why I voted for this contract.

It must be very satisfying to be the only one that knows the truth. It is amazing the rest have made it this far without your all knowing self. Any one that see things differently then you are sheep. I think not. Most of your post are long and very entertaining but you sound like you are a unhappy person because the rest are just fools that would only would better off if we listened to you. The American public for the most part doesn't care or know where there cars and trucks are made. The small number of cars bought by ford employees wouldn't keep us running more a few weeks. The voting will be over in a couple of days. When the 2nd tiers at Cap vote yes on the contract and it passes. Step back and think about it may the long hair is not always right. No one gets everything they want in contract talks. If it goes down and we get a better contract, the long hair got it right. If it goes down a we strike nobody wins. This sheep is satisfied the contract is a step in the right direction.

I don't know if your original place is still open but if it is, perhaps you will be able to transfer back. Wixom is long gone but the people at Map have been great for the most part. We have just gone thru a down sizing so that was tough to lose a few new work friends. My committee man Mike Beydoun is one of the best I have come across. What ever happens with this contract we are all in this together. Good luck to you and the rest at lima
