  1. dude, i own an auto customizeing shop and I have a dyno and I did a before and after test on my 1987 Ford Bronco II with a 21.9L V6 (with 450,000 miles)

On regular fuel 130 hp at the rear wheels

On new fuel 228 hb at the rear wheels

I did no changes to the endine, After the first test, I emptied the gas tank and filled it back up with the new fuel.

I just want to know how you got 21.9 L motor to fit in that thing........ :)

  2. I followed that one pretty close, it look to me like dealer bought it back to make the guy happy. Fixed the quarter and is reselling it. Nothing about this is that odd. I've fixed a lot worst damage that that on new cars coming in.

  3. NEVER NEVER NEVER use a thread insert on an aluminum automotive head. They change the effective heat range of the plug (not necessarily in a predictable manner) and can lead to further engine damage, the kind where you WILL need a lower end too. They may also move the plug into or out of the combustion chamber because of the depth changes the inserts can cause. I realize that it may appear to be a cheap fix, but to do it right the head casting must be replaced. That having been said, here are a whole lot more folks who will argue that a bubblegum and bailing wire fix is in fact ok:

What's this, some more run in circles scream and shout? I've been doing this to motorcycles and more than a few cars going back to the 60's. Done right it's fix that's better than new.
