    The first video, now posted on the site, brings to life the dynamometer testing that new truck engines, including the new EcoBoost pulled randomly off the line at Cleveland Engine Plant, endure. In coming weeks, web videos, posted at www.fordvehicles.com/2011F150, will document the extreme challenges the 2011 F-150 EcoBoost faces in the real world.

    Magazine articles imply that the Brembo package on the '11 GT includes a strut tower brace and revised suspension bushings.

     

    Is this true? Neither are mentioned in the brochure or order guide.

    Clunker sales misrepresented by the government.

    The way that Edmunds counted sales shows a very different story from the government's numbers. In its report, Ford captured three of the top four positions. The Toyota Corolla, which is at the top of the government's list, falls to number five on Edmunds' list behind the F-150, which didn't even make the government's Top Ten. The Chevy Silverado didn't make the government's Top Ten either, but it's number eight with Edmunds.

    The Benefit of EcoBoost

    Out of the loop for a while, do they still build the er, GT500, on the niche line in Romeo, and if so, what will they do as the mod is phased out?

     

    The plant operates two lines – a high-volume Line, or HVL, and a niche line, where employees meticulously hand build 5.4 liter, 4-valve supercharged engines for the Shelby GT500. The HVL builds 4.6 liter two-valve and three-valve V-8 engines and 4.6 liter 2-valve Flex Fuel V-8 engines, delivering 140 engines an hour.

    Ford has no plans in the near future to phase out the V8.
