I thought this forum was about Essex engine. Will the plant stay open? Future product? What will it be? When are the buyouts gonna be taken off the table?

We were promised a new diesel engine program at our last contract. Are they gonna give it to us or stick it to us. :slap:

I was wrong were not closing!
Today there were alot of outside contractors in the building, I was told by someone who sat in the meeting discussing the project that they will outsource a majority of the construction work to bring the cupalos online ontime in April.
I was also told in May they will retool the coreroom to produce the 6.2L and 2 Diesel blocks, a V6 and V8.
The V6 is a hybrid it was at the autoshow last year in the Ford Reflux, it looks like the old Probe GT. This car with this engine gets 65 MPG.
Plant 2 will move production to plant 1 and Lima and retool for these 2 motors!

Those diesels better be assembled here in Windsor dammit.

The uaw already sold all North American autoworkers out with that contract. Now us CAW members must be as or more competitive or shut all the doors for good! Nice contract!
