If there are new codes for the C/S interiors, then my guess is the California Special lives on for 2008. Originally, we were told it would be a one-year only model Also, two new options (that have already been mentioned on these forums) have the following option codes for 2008 Mustangs... 51H = HID headlamps. 95M = Mood lighting.

  6. How you going to get in trouble talking to a robot? Heck, if I didn't like what I was hearing, I would type up some speech and make it sound like I was my dealer and talk to an analyst. The key would be to not wing it. Type it up ahead of time.

  8. It's inside the arm rest console. You will need a "gender-bender" cable to hook up to your headphone jack of your MP3 player. Male on both ends. Got mine at Radio Hack for like $7.
  9. The ERL is a voice responding system. You don't have to pretend that you are the dealer with a machine. You have everything that you need except for the body style code. Your dealer is blowing smoke up your you-no-what about not being able to get any information. Do yourself a favor. Email Ed who specializes in trucks in the TX area. His profile can be reached on themustangsource.com. I don't have his private email address, but you can PM him from there. Its really no big deal to call the ERL as long as you have the information and you realize that you probably will only get updates every Thursday until such time as you start to get segmented or blended and then the updates will come more frequently.
  10. Hate to be the one to break this to you, but Kzinti has been muffled by Ford and no longer assists in the tracking. You will have to try and do it yourself by calling the ERL.

  12. No, the ERL will not give it to you. She can't decipher SN's over the phone either. Stick to the method that you currectly use to get information.
  13. Yes, I would say so. In my experience until the car is "blended" the status seem to change on Thursdays. So, I would expect maybe two Thursdays to pass until I got a "clean and unscheduled" status...

  15. FYI, there's no one from Ford monitoring these boards or helping out any more. Kzinti got silenced by Ford. You're going to have to call the ERL yourself. And she doesn't understand VIN numbers. You will need to have the Order number, dealer code, body type and year of the vehicle when you call.
  16. There have been only a couple of production weeks that I am aware of where the 18"'s were in short supply. I think that it varies week to week...
  17. According to my dealer, they all would be V6 Automatics, so no I would not be interested...
  18. Old news. Problem is with the Brake Fluid cap. There are a number of theories / home remedies. One of them is to take a turkey baster and siphon off some fluild.   19. You been busy already. How do you like that chin spoiler? How much lower does it make it? I was thinking something like that, but having it be a flat black...Looks cool B) I would say that my mods to date have been moderate and kind of on the cosmetic side. I love the WebElectric sequentials and my QuickLifts. I've been so busy with the body shop dealing with the ding from the dump truck incident and with my discovery of the body panel issues. I've already had the whole bumper repainted because of the hatchet job the factory did during assembly. Time growing short for top down weather. Might go to a car show Sunday in NJ. That kind of stuff. I had to go back to stock on the door lock pins though. The passenger side thread was too low for the MGW hardware. Couldn't lock the passenger side door.

  24. GTs, Manual Trannys, Verts are all build restriction items. Meaning that if a dealer has two cars at the same priority, and one is manual and the other is auto and if he got a manual order pulled last week, the auto is getting pulled this week. BTW, I would get your dealer to up your priority from 40 to 10. 40's are likely just a placeholder that he has for your order because others are in front of you and he is managing his build restrictions this way to keep it fair with his Customers. If it stays a 40, it will never be built. I would clarify this with your salesman.
