as a former member of local 551 i am curious to see how all of this plays out. regardless, you are setting a great example to many in how we need to hold our leaders accountable. we must not forget that they work for us.

i dont think were represented well at the international level. but, a couple of subpay checks makes up for that $1,000.

i believe the seat manufacturer installs the belts to the seats at their factory, as luck would have it i know their quality liaison. next week i will track him down and ask him about this.
-
So now you are accusing him of misappropriating Union funds for his defense???? Wow buddy, that's the deep end. Make sure to bring that up when you discuss your concerns about his personal life in person.

Let me guess, if I had an appointed job you would hide behind a screen name and talk bad about me?
-
You created an account, to complain about somebody's personal problem. If not offends you that much, deal with him personally. Not by creating an anonymous account and complaining behind a screen name on the Internet. If you care as much as you pretend to, grow a pair and confront him.

Luigi seems to be the only one that thinks this is a big deal. Yawn

Yes people, remember if you do not vote it's a yes vote automatically. This is another issue many people have with our UAW setup. If you don't vote it shouldn't be a yes or a no vote.
NOT VOTING = YES SO GO VOTE!
the level of ignorance that is on display on this board is actually quite scary. when you wonder why people think we are over paid idiots, remember these threads.

any idea how many signed up for CAP? and if so, any idea on when they will report to CAP.
thanks
-
To identify the candidates by seniority, obviously.
Why wouldn't you ask your Committeeman, Bargaining Rep, Chairman or Local President before coming on here for a rumor??
This is the last place I would come if I was truly interested in the truth !!!!
its real hard to get any info at CAP. real hard.

bullshit 30 % is a little high it was like 5 % the ones that followed the marineer was placed in suv as openings accured the others was displaced by senior employees in ohio
and placed in available work at kcap the overage came when ford decided to take visteon employees and that didn't take long most quit because the couldn't handle the work
no one at kcap was at risk of being layed off in the truck or suv system
only temps or new hires under 90 days can be bumped
Don't worry LAP your not going to lose your jobs to KCAP transfers kcap the local plant decides how many people in will take
there is definitely some formula nobody knows about. with the explorer leavig LAP and going to CAP, only 188 employees were allowed the "transfer of operations" transfer (follow the product), even though the explorer will be 61% of the build at CAP.

on september 16th alan is speaking to the kansas city area chamber of commerce
jay nixon and alan are touring the plant and during this visit alan and jay are going to make a big anouncement on going to happen at kcap
at this time we already know plans are to keep the f-150 at kcap and may keep the escape kcap is already scheduled to build the 2012 escape
we will see
hold on to your asses in may be a bumpy ride LAP
good luck with that.

Need some advice.
Has anyone successfully "walked-away" from their mortgage? If so, what are the implications? (besides the worse credit report)
I am currently at KCAP and am considering just turning in the keys whether we transfer to Kentucky or not.
I am not late on a payment yet I am underwater and have absolutely no desire to make repairs, show my house and then bring thousands and thousands of dollars to the closing table. (that's even IF I could find a buyer.)
BTW, regardless if we do get a new product, I think that Ford still will offer us a transfer to KY and I would take it. I want a fresh start.
Furthermore, If I anticipate a move next year, why not stop making payments now?
I keep hearing people live in their home for a year or two before getting the actual boot. I think it's a smart [strategic] financial decision.
OR, you could just be a responsible adult and pay your freaking bills.

CAP When are we going back to work?

A layoff for more than a week has to be by seniority, so our plants will rotate down weeks between crews.
