  1. Think they are chrome...

Whats even more interesting...is pay attention the headlight design, there is a gap in the camo and it looks like they have an upswept design sort like the Edge's....

YES, It is Chrome, and yes the h/lights have chrome trim als, ala 500 :shades:

  2. The only thing I can tell for sure is that we are working the first two weeks of January. We got no final message from Joe Lee and I didn't see him walk the floor. I can only hope that Kevin Gideion the new PM will be as communicative as Joe Lee was.

My sched shows single shift, 40 hr throughout the first 6 months....ALL subjet to change, of corse....

here @ Wayne, ( Focus ), we were going gangbusters with this damn littls pos, then all of a sudden, 3 weeks off for X-Mas downtime !!!!!, back to 40 hrs, sometimes I wish gas prices would go back up, but then it kills everyone else.....but we have the " new and improved" Focus comming this fall.....it's gonna sell, BIG TIME........ Real sharp piece of metal, just needs more power !

Tim Allen, You got your ears on???

  3. It doesn't matter how many shifts. The 4 10 hour days is just 1 small part of COA. COA is mostly about outsourcing noncore jobs. I quote Jeff Washington "Nobody will have a smile on their face when we come to work after the 2007 contract"

John "Pretty Boy" Savona !!!!!!! ya'll in for a goooood time....... we had his sorry ass here

@ Wayne as a GF, he couldn't walk and chew gum without trippin on his own spit......

  4.

After about 40 minutes on the phone with Verizon I did find out that it is real. After she dug around she found it said that in June of 2006 they were going to stop charging this and that the customers could get a refund on there 2006 tax return.

Wonder why they did not send you something with your bill stating this? Most probably would have gotten thrown out anyways.

Oh well it's there for whoever wants it. My hour looking into this has my total at about 115 dollars. Not bad for an hours work!

    :rant::rant::rant:

It's not nice to fool with mother nature!!! :finger::finger:

  5. I agree totally..... which is why I said in the original post if Ford can get out of purchasing parts they will move MTP to one shift sooner than later which backs up "The wizard" of 3/07 MTP to 1 shift...time and sales will tell

As I said in my last post, TODAYS long term forcast is out....MTP is sched, 2/40 hr shits till 12-25, off 2 weeks, back 01-08 2/40 hr wks thru02-25, off 1 wk, 2/40 hr wks thru3-05, off 1 wk, 2/40 hr wks thru4-16 (Easter Break), off 4-16, 2/40 hr wks thru5-07,off 1 wk 2/40 wks....end of report......

  6. I hope everything works out for you guys and you get to back fill that 3rd shift at DTP the month after you get layed off.I have family there and I don't want to see them out on the street.

Unless something drastic happens with gas prices, don't bet the farm on going to one shift in April as everyone has told you, includeing your PM, and, ehem, union? people.....The long term forcast that comes out every monday STILLS shows 80 hrs schedule thru June................, we at WAP however just added another down-week, now have 3 weeks off for X-Mas............

  7. Once again, you live up to your namesake, that you really don't know what you're talking about.

Apart from issues that we've had from upper management, Atlanta STILL would have had all the rest of the issues that are the ones really holding up production. The same vendor problems we have here you would have had there. The same tooling contractors we have here are the same you would have had there.

The other issues aren't affecting current production as much as it affects future production.

So grab a clue and STFU.

    you tell em, Mickey.....

  8. I was thinking since I will be moving there what kind of nationalities settled there? In VA it's mostly English and Irish and it's hard to get food around here or find people that share some of my holiday traditions. I'm from Long Island origionally and in that area there are a lot of Irish and Italians in some other areas more slovic people, which there are almost none of in VA. I'm not even sure if this topic makes sense, let me know and I will try to word what I am asking differently.

I am correct in thinking that people migrated from the North East and settled in the MI area?

    Thank You!

Depends on where you go...Dearborn, %80 Middle-Eastern, Ann Arbor, a lot of German full time

residents, great mixture of transient cultures due to U of M ( Go Blue),Ypsilanti, also multi cultural, EMU,(go HURONS,now Eagles..long sad story ) Detroit has a Polish community, mostly African-American...

You can get pretty much anything you want should you look hard enough.......

Welcome !! :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah:

  9. Mike Hom is your Director of Manufacturing Operations (DOMO) and Ken Minielly former PM at Indy IIRC. The DOMO is the level of managemnt between the plant managers and the executive VPs

Well, know-it-all, as usualanother person who is spouting shit out his ass.......Ken was PM at Wayne Assembly....His last day was officially Friday, but still here Tuesday.......... :stats:

  10. I think he took a job in Pittsburg, not sure with what company. Did you take the buyout IM?

Wayne Assy PM, Ken Minielli, left Friday, .....now have someone from Atlanta, they call him The Red Bull? anyone know of him and his tacticts?????? :stats:

  11. Could you please check to see if there's an update on my car?

    Thanks in advance,

  12. The big rumor at Ktp today, and it's a rumor, is that they are going to cut a shift at Lap at years end and then bring all the Lap layoffs to Ktp. That way Ford doesn't have to bring in any transfers from out of state.

KTP is going to 1 shift as of 12--18-06.....WORD !

LAP is staying @ 2 shifts.....

  13. Now that the Smoking Ban (Thank You Ohio Voters!! :happy feet: ) in workplaces takes affect in December, how many will 'Buyout' because they cant smoke in the plants anymore? BTV has about a 70% worker smoking polulation. SHV has about a 50%. Just wondering how many will give it all up for those nasty cigarettes! I know it's in our contract that we can smoke, but Ohio law has killed that, read where it says any part of our contract that conflicts with Federeal, State or Local laws, the contradiction will become invalid and the Federal, State or Local law shall prevail.

How many will be taking....extended shit house breaks???? How many will get written up for those extended breaks? How will the Union fight them??

    Let the bashing begin!

We have a county ordinance here in Michigan, Wayne county, that bans smoking in the workplace....you'd never tell be comming in Wayne Assy...............Once in a while someone gets pinched, just to make a point, but it's overlooked far and wide!!

Supervisors, line workers, all smoke in here....it's a joke

  14. I am considering an '07 Focus but need your input based on your experience and/or knowledge on a couple of things. :sos:

I like the ST with the 2.3L engine w/ manual transmission. :woohoo: However, the ST comes with suede inserts on the leather seats. On the other hand, the SES sedan comes with leather inserts on the leather seats; however, I can only get the 2.0L engine that gets 136 hp. :ohsnap:

So, what I would like to know are as follows:

    1) Is there that much of a difference in performance between the 2.3L and the 2.0L?

    2) Should I really be concerned with the suede should it get wet?

Thanks for any information you can provide.

    :beerchug: :beerchug: :beerchug:

Get a spray called "camp dry" for the suede...it is a water-proofing........ST is a MUCH better choice!

  15. Two months after launch and already shifts are being cut? What a shame, I thought that with the lower price and the XL version, Ford had a winner on its hand  I wonder why GM can sell out their three plants worth of full-size SUVs.

It is interesting that they made this announcement two days after the election. It is also interesting that MTP limped along for three years with two shifts laying the plant off for half the weeks, and now they cut a shift after a NEW product comes out. Hopefully the shift will be added back with the new F-series in 2008 or with Mazda building SUVs there.

just opend the long term forcast....still on 80 hrs after easter....down weeks are, 12-25, 1-01, 2-05, 3-05, 3-12, and 4-16 with NO reduction in hours....all subject to change I can --e mail a copy of the forcast to anyone who wants it

  16. Dealer Called today and gave me my VIN

    1FAFP37N07W232488

    And the Order # is

    4420

Now the dealer said the VIN had a message attached to it "Temp Delay"

Can anyone down on that end help me out and find out what the "Temp Delay" is? I'm really hoping to have this by the 15th of Dec (That's the end of my lease from my '04)

Any help is appreciated for you folks at Wayne Assembly. I'm just glad to help keep you guys working.
