  1. We were given a bulletin signed by our Local President stating that our previously outsourced jobs would be returned to us.We also have upper management telling us that we are not getting our jobs back and that our union is just dangling a carrot in front of our nose for a ratification vote.Who do we believe?

    What plant are you from?

  2. You also have to have 1250(IIRC)hrs in the proir year to qualify for an FMLA. My wife suffers from extreme migraines that send her to hospital and down for two days. I tried to get one at MTP earlier this year but because MTP was on & off for layoffs the prior year I didn't have enough hours.

    This could get ugly

  3. We were told today by our skilled trades chair that the national agreement has an attendance agreement that states T "time off justified" will be held against you same as an AWOL, that is to say as a progressive penalty. If you are off work for lets say 2 days for the flu "the real flu" and you have a Dr.s note stateing so,you will get a T code for 2 days. As you accumulate T days its progressive I am a little vague on some of the details but @ 8 T codes within 18 months 2 weeks off ,@ 9 T codes 1 month off ,@ 10 T codes TERMINATED!

I try not to miss a lot of work but lets say you get really sick we are expected to come to work contagious or have T code treated like awols.

Bullshit to me. I know people abuse the system but for the love of God we all get some kind of sick sometime. We have to use personel time or be awoled. By the way these T codes are also stacked with awols, so they build together. U days are a thing of the past in Batavia, So what is an honest person to do.

Our meeting is this Friday, I will be asking questions, I hope every local will ask some real questions on tough topics. Dont let them sell us a shit pie and tell us it tastes as good as we could make it taste!

    Fraternally yours

    Steve

    That is correct

  4. You guys are arguing with a person who is mad for the sole reason of being laid off before he attained his 90th day. If he had, he would be rising against the two-tier wages.

    Oh,

OK................didnt know that one. Wont waste my time

    Thankx Dude

  5. What special skills or training qualifies autoworkers for their wages? (crickets chirping)......

    Roboto,

The "Special skills" as you put it , have nothing to do with the wages. Its about sacraficing your body.

I dont have the stats on what percentage of retirees leave with injuries, like carple tunnel, roto cuff, buldging discs, bad knees, ect . But I would guess that its very high. That has to count for something dosent it?

  6. I work at a ACH in Michigan, and was told I will be transfering to AAI through the Flow Back along with 3 other people from my plant. No date when I can leave yet. I've heard there are almost 300 temps. or super TPT's working at AAI right now.... Is that true?

Yes. We have some "SUPER TPTS"

  7. i talked to a buddy of mine who i used to work with from sheldon rd plant he told me that about 100 to 150 coming to aai 6yrs on up senority

Im being told that we dont have definent no#s yet on how many we will get. There saying around 200, but dont know exactly where they are coming from

  8. The head GW Bolshevik refuses to live at the standard of the average American. The King needs not to live like the rabble.

"GORE REFUSES TO TAKE PERSONAL ENERGY ETHICS PLEDGE

WASHINGTON, DC – Former Vice President Al Gore refused to take a “Personal Energy Ethics Pledge” today to consume no more energy than the average American household. The pledge was presented to Gore by Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.), Ranking Member of the Environment and Public Works Committee, during today’s global warming hearing."

    No bullshit please ............Thankx

  10. We received a letter from the acting PM today telling us the last week of production for NAP will be the week of June 25th. It is with a sense of sadness and relief that this news was delivered. At least now we have something definite to work with, as far as our future plans are concerned.

Rumor on the floor here at AAI is 130 NAP ers are coming to AAI. Can anyone verify this?

  11. Has anyone ever used all their ETAP and found any other places to get " free money" for college??? It seems like I read on here before but haven't been able to find, about some other programs that are out there. I am in GEN and will be out of ETAP funds by June. Being in GEN does not get you the $$$ that you would get if you where on indefinate layoff. GEN is considered a job assinment not a layoff. Anyhow any info would be greatly welcomed.

ETAP is going away Bro.............Before june

  12. WOOOOOOOWW hold on guy's. What the f#*k? Where the hell do you all work?

99.9999 % of my co-workers drive Fords. there are a few who have bought American made from the other 2, GM or Chrysler. 99.9999% of MY co-workers give a shit about Quality. You guy's make it sound like Ford's problems are because of TODAYS Ford workers...BULLSHIT!!!!I've been with this company for a couple of decades plus, and have known the oldtimers from way back when AND the people we have today. NO difference in their comitment to this company, quality, hard work, etc...etc...etc...I'm a second generation autoworker and my folks tell me there were bad apples in the old days as well.

Bill Ford, Jack Nasser, etc.. have made some BAD decisions people, That's where your coments need to be directed, plain and simple. Sure we have issues that need to be addressed by the UAW next contract, but for the most part FORD has made some bad managment decisions over the last decade. So plese stop slamming your co-workers, making them out to be what the street stereotypes us to be. :finger::finger::banghead::banghead:

    THANK YOU!

  13. :redcard: Do you seriously think 1 TFT, TPT, will leave their vehicle in the parking lot and cross a picket line, yet alone a Teamster to unload a truck if there is a strike??? get real folks..... :hysterical:

Teamsters!..........Now your talkin my lingo..god, I mis those guys!

  14. My bad!!!! I am not suggesting that you want us to be like Cuba. But what many of us would like to know is---------------->what country would you like us to emulate? Go ahead and pick one, any of them please, or a couple of them if you prefer!!! This will give us a better idea of what you are proposing, the restrictions it will or will not add, and the debate can go from there.

Speculating what trying to change things to solve a problem that may not exist is one thing, but having solid factual examples of countrys that have tried and be able to see what it cost them in rights and money........now that is priceless!!!! So pick. If not, I will go to the archives and see which one has done many of the things you propose and pick it for ya.

    Now we are getting somewhere!!!

P.S. By the way, lol. Did you know that some of the places that have actually tried a few of these things have shown no difference in the things they were monitoring and trying to reduce? The mantra is that it is because the population grew, so while they have reduced them per person, the total output from a higher population has replaced it in the atmosphere.

Just to let you understand, they are now arguing about this concept and reasoning. It is really interesting that what is proposed by many of you becomes a reality, it doesn't work, and we are right back where we started with the enviros making excuses, and still beating the drums for more regulation.

I am not against clean water or air whatsoever. I don't want anyone poisoned by dumping, none of that for sure.

But global warming!!!! You guys will try anything in an attempt to force stricter government control of every aspect of life. The history you base most of your findings on are from the last 400 years, if that. Almost everything before that is unmeasurable, and if it is, you don't know what actually caused it, you are speculating.

Do you also know that virtually every scientist has predicted that sometime down the road, the sun will burn itself out!!!!!!!

What do you suggest we do about that!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Replace your furnace with a TRANE.........I love mine
