  1. First, I want to preface this by saying, I didn’t have time to read every post of this thread. Second, the parts I did read were a great distance above the normal garbage spewed here. A wonderful education was provided regarding the use of fiscal policy during the Reagan administration. I think however, you didn’t stop to consider your audience. We as a group are not interested in which economic policy tools grow our economy best. We are interested in which policies lead to increased automobile sales for Ford Motor Company. Did the use of fiscal policy during the Reagan years grow our economy? Yes. Did Ford Motor Company prosper during those times? No. Are trade barriers and tariffs good for consumers in the U.S. economy? No. But if these policies were imposed, leading to an increase in sales of Ford vehicles(thus jobs for us), I would be all for them. I think that in this forum it’s important to note: while we have families to take care of and children to feed, our best interests are not always served by the fastest growing economy. It also isn’t the way this forum will ultimately judge the success of those policies.
