The problem is that my dealer is saying they don't think you can do it which sounds kid of crazy considering it chirps on lock but does absolutely nothing on unlock. mine is not a limited so don't know about how much I can set myself and how much needs to be programmed. I thought this would be standard programming options

My 07 expedition sounds the horn and flashes the lights when I lock it with the keyfob but does nothing when I unlock, is this correct or can this be programmed to do the same thing on unlock. I know on previous expeditions this could be programmed.
When I unlock with the key pad on the door at least the lights come on
Please let me know
Thanks

I live on Colorado and so we do see a fair amount of snow in the winter. Rather than having to just buy a snow set (which if it comes down to it I'm happy to do) I am looking for a good regular driver with good snow and ice traction. Here are a few I pulled up and was wondering if everyone could let me know their thoughts or recommendations on this. I'm running the standard 17's right now.
Thanks

As many of you know I picked up my truck on Tuesday and have been letting the wife drive it around town for the past week. My question is what is the break in period and when should I start to see a MPG increase. Right now I'm lucky if we see 12mpg. I have not had any of the TSB's completed on the vehicle yet (mirrors or transmission).
Mine is the EB 4x4 with Heavy Duty Trailer
Hoping I will get close the at least the 17's people have been getting
Thanks

Congrats MC, I picked mine up on Tuesday and love it. Guess you and I need to get some pics up on here
Had my truck for almost a week and I just love it. One of the first things I noticed was the much inproved turning radius vs my 2000 I had. Already had 3 people say how much they like the whitesand color with the 20 inch wheels. Really happy with it, great product Michigan truck! Thank you Chuck and Viper for all your updates during my build process. It was fun to follow the process. Thanks again -

Anyone know where I can get a steering wheel cover to fit the wheel in the 07 Expy ?
I like have one of those thicker leather covers over the top and was fine on my old 97 but the standard ones don't seem to fit the new o7.
Any ideas ?

Hey All
Finally pulled the trigger and picked up my Black 07 Eddie Bauer yesterday. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I used to have a 97 and this is far and away superior.
While performance doesn't quite match my BMW 540 it is a nice all round ride for me and the family.
One question I did have off the bat is power fold mirrors. I don't remember seeing these as an option so assume they are standard. Problem is when I pull down on the mirror stalk as stated in the manual nothing happens, was this just standard on the limiteds or something ?
Thanks

So looks like we're getting good deals then. I won't get the $2500 only $2000 because I'm leasing. Plus I'm in a 8.1% tax area
My A-plan price for mine that I will pick up finally today is MSRP 44,530 A- plan price 39,111. Minus 2500 for current rebates for A total of 36,611. Plus 6 % Michigan sales tax. 07 limited 4 wheel drive, Whitesand, secound row captain chairs, daytime running lights, 20 inch rims , convenience package, rubber floor mats, Heavy duty trailer, Chrome luggage rack, Sirius radio. -
Is this on leases as well ?
It shows up on ford.com when I search incentives for 2007 Expeditions in my zip code (14420). It looks like it's for anyone - not just X and A plans. -
Been told the lease rate is 2.25% and residual is 43% . This is on a 36 month lease with 19,500 miles per year
Let me know thoughts

Finally found my expy just built and delivered today to a local dealership but have a question. This is the first Eddie that I have single with single color not two tone seats, is this right ? This is black with camel seats not two tone. Is this a different type of seat or just color option ?
Thanks

Thanks
Where did you find out about the $500.00 increase. I'm picking up my Expedition tommorrow and want to be sure I'm getting every incentive available.Thanks......Ed

Just wondered if anyone knew if Ford were building for E85 on the 08 Expedition. I know they did on the 07 F150 but not the EXPY

Have a couple of questions for you. In the quest for my perfect Eddie Bauer 07 I have found two vehicles that fit my needs, one is black with 18" and one is blue with 20". I must admit that although I am not a blue lover it did look good with the Eddie package and the 20" chrome. This got me thinking about the 20" wheels on any Eddie I look at and generated the following questions:
1) Can 18" wheels be substituted for 20's after the fact or is what I'm hearing from the dealerships true which is that the truck is calibrated in the on board computer and TPM for the wheel size that comes with it only ?
2) What do you think of the ride difference between the 18" and 20"s ?
3) How is gas mileage affected between these two ?
4) How does wear get affected ?
Thanks so much

Stupid question but is that a YES we can order in May ?
2008 Expedition Order Guide -
Interesting as I too have been finding slim pickings on what I am looking for.
My concern is that as I am looking to lease will the lease rates go against me in the time it takes to order ?
Thanks

Of course, the dealer wants to sell you something off the lot. Don't do it! I warned them about that as soon as I walked in the door and they never brought it up again. Why should you pay for stuff you don't want or need??For 40-50k get EXACTLY what you want.
It took about 11 days for mine to arrive....So Let's say two weeks.
Yes you can you use A/X/Z Plan, Yes, All rebates apply.
As for the options - Only time will tell. I decided to risk it and ordered the load leveling on mine.. If you don't pull more than 4-5000 LBS you probably don't need it. I've pulled a lot more with past Expeditions and never had a problem. For the money though it doesn't seem like a bad deal.
Don't know for sure but chances are the rebates won't change.. I told the dealer that if the incentives got worse between the time I ordered the truck and when It arrived I would not buy it. They were cool with it and ordered it w/o even a deposit.
I honestly have to say that the dealership that I purchased my vehicle from is the best dealership I've EVER dealt with. Very professional and honest... (so far!)

Just checked the Ford website and when you click incentives now and then choose lease offers it shows RCL/RCO customer cash $2000 so does that mean I can now take $2k off the purchase price even if I lease. Previous offer was only on retail, please confirm

Hey MCANTON congrats
I have a question. I qualify for XPLAN and have been told that the deal is what it is, is that correct or can it still be discounted ?
Well finally gave up on my search for the Whitesand stone with the options I wanted and ordered my 07 today. Whitesand stone limited with 20 inch wheels convenice package, second row captain chairs, daytime running lights, remote start, floor matts, heavyduty trailer tow, black interior, four wheel drive. A plan will be around 38,700 before any rebates. The 2,000 they have on now will end before I recieve my truck so i'm hopeful it will be as good when my truck comes in. They are saying 4 to 5 weeks which will take me to early May. -
Okay, here is what my dealer is offering me on my XPLAN deal:
2007 MODEL YEAR
4x4
BLACK CLEARCOAT
P255/70R18 ALL-SEASON OWL 495
SKID PLATE PACKAGE 100
POWER MOONROOF 995
CONVENIENCE PACKAGE 675
HEAVY DUTY TRAILER TOW 395
NAVIGATION RADIO 1,995
POWER LIFTGATE 495
SIRIUS RADIO W/6 MOS SVC 195
CLIMATE CONTROLLED SEATS 625
CHROME EXHAUST PIPE TIP 100
18" MACHINED ALUMINUM WHEEL
MSRP is $45,690.00, XPLAN PRICE is $41,691 and they are offering me 3% lease with 19,500 miles for a total of $685 + TAX = Out The Door At $741 per month on 36 months. This is with First payment + security ($1482 out of pocket).
This still seems a little high to me but they say they cannot deal any less than the XPLAN unless I have a deal from the mail (which I don't).
Thoughts about this deal ?
Thanks

If you can ask your mom that would be great.
Now to get to Black, Dk blue or Redfire Fun Fun Fun
Since you are leasing I would probably just do it now. The longer you wait on leasing an 07 the higher your payment can go because it loses value. This was what I have learned with leasing. I dont think the leasing deals will change much in the next month. If you want I can see if my Mom can find out what the next deals will be. Not sure if she has the power but its worth I try. I dont think the dealers find out till the day or 2 before.I say go for it, you will be very happy! I know I wouldnt be able to hold out as long as you are!
BTW I havent had mine in deep snow but mud and it was fine and I have been on icy roads and it never had an issue...

Forgive my ignorance here but what wheels do you have, also what spec did you go for ?
i say get it now while rebate being offered, since i got mine about almost 3 weeks ago im starting to see alot of them here in the atlanta metro area. trust me when i say " ive only seen one other truck with wheels on it that look good like mine and now im starting to see alot of new ones with dealership tag so sales must be picking up so go get it and have fun with it. -
Okay All April 2nd is rapidly approaching and this is when the current incentives/rebated end on the 07 and hopefully new ones start.
I have my expy (criteria anyway) picked out and ready to go but need to know if it's better to wait. I have heard to hold on for the next round due to the truck being out longer then plus the holidays tax time etc but as I am considering leasing this one wondered whether I am better of biting the bullet now.
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated
Tks

Also, anyone had their expy in deep snow yet, wondered how they compared against the 07 Tahoes with the G80 locker
Front Grill & Rear Hatch Issues With Oxidation
in Expedition Forum

I have a Black 07 Eddie Bauer (with silver albeit plastic front grill and rear hatch handle cover, standard fare on EBs ). I noticed today what can only be described as looking like some form of oxidation on these. I washed the truck twice to try and remove it and even took a more abrasive approach on the front grill but cannot remove these discolored spots. It's not stuff stuck to it as it is smooth to the surface but more like something has started to discolor (want of a better description) these areas. I also noticed that the Expedition name on the rear hatch is starting to lose its black inner paint.
Anyone else experienced these things ?
I only brought the truck last June and personally think this should be covered but did not know if warranty would tackle these or not.
Thanks all
