  1. That big red beauty at the top of your post is whats coming. In addition are 2 motorhome frames.

I could never find sales numbers either. I even contacted Ford. They told me to call a dealer??? LOL.

I pulled this statement from a senior forum member at another site.....

The September issue of 'Heavy Duty Trucking' (a trucking trade magazine) published year to date total sales for Ford in class 6 and 7 (that would include F-650 and F-750 models) at 6496 units through July. This post dated 10-17-2011

I don't have the magazine nor could i find it viewable online so it's not been proven.

We run 740 Econolines per day, working 4 days per week. Not going to build that many of those 6/7 series. Never has Sterling been mentioned, so I'm pretty sure it's not included.

From Chronicle article the day it was announced...."The brief state announcement indicated the credit would help retain about 1,400 jobs at the plant "

We'll know for sure in a couple years.

I thought the motorhome chassis was going to be the econoline. What are they going to build class C motorhomes on?

  2. All I can say is I'm going to vote for someone that wants to drill for oil. That will lower gas prices and get our truck and SUV plants running again.I dont want to hear the same bullshit about taking 10 years to get oil.Did you know it only took 3 years to build 800 mile Alaska pipeline? Did you know its only 74miles from ANWR to Prudhoe bay where the pipeline starts? If we can build 800miles of pipeline and the oil rig that sits there in just 3 years,I dont see how it could take 10 years to only go 74 miles.Thats just more tree hugger bull.

  3. Maybe you should look at the tax code again! Under Clinton a person making $60,000 in 1996 would pay around $11,600. Ten years later 2006, a person making $70,000 would pay around $11,000 under Bush. I dont see the $5K your talking about.

Yes anyone getting medical benefits would end up paying more under McCain's tax plan, no two ways about it. But I could care less about our medical, as soon as the UAW tells Ford that they dont have to cover its workers medical payments, the membership will cry and demand National Health Care that helps all working people. This will also help Ford save money, what all you Republican's want. I dont get the mentality that if its good for the master, its good for the slave! Then Ford will have more money and they can spend $10 billion in Mexico instead of $3 billion. Once they are fully invested in Mexico they can walk away for the U.S. and still make profits.

Although Clinton signed NAFTA, McCain is pushing for more unfair trade deals that help the rich but does nothing to protect American workers.

For people who make under $250,000 a year there really isnt a choice, Obama.

    1999 tax table 13,460 11,211 14,249 12,316,,,,,, 2007 tax table 11,430 8,221 11,430 10,181 . In my case with 2 working = $5k

  4. Heres one for you Palin McCain supporters.

Part of MCcains tax plan is to tax your employer provided health insurance. He doesnt hide it just comes right out and tells you and every Republican pinhead applauds.

    Heres how it breaks down.

Every December we get a item line on our check that shows our Legal Services as income and we are taxed 25%.

Every December I get PISSED OFF.

Now under McCains tax plan to generate tax revenue he is going to tax us on our benefits.

Every December $8,000-$10,000 will be put on you check as income.

Every December I WILL BE PISSED OFF.

This taxable income will translate to us paying a additional $1,800- $2,200 taxes a year.

How does this help the middle class?

    IAM FED UP

    GOD BLESS OBAMA

OK pin head.Obama said he will let the Bush taxcode end and we will get a 1k tax break.sounds nice, but Clinton tax code minus$1k is a $5k tax raise. How does that help the middle class? Educate yourself on everything and if you still like Obama then vote for him.But dont do it just because the dems or the uaw told you to.I hear people all the time"The democrats are for the working man" and I say prove it.They never have a answer, they heard that once and repeat it.People never take the time to read all they can and then decide.

  5. What is best for the auto worker? Did you see the debate? One of the first things Obama said"we need to TAX major corporations so they pay their fair share" I fail to see how a tax increase against Ford will help my job. And last I looked Ford is a major corporation.Maybe one of you Obama nutswingers could explain how a near bankrupt company paying higher taxes will help UAW members.

  6. Why don't you do us a favor and use your etap money and take a economics class at your local college.so you quit embarrassing yourself about your knowledge about economics!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why dont you do yourself a favor and stop swinging from Obama's nutsack and read for yourself what he says. But you like so many would rather be spoonfed by the media.

  7. Because the names of people involved in this scandal are names like Dodd, Chris Dodd, Connecticut, Franklin Raines, currently on the Obama economic team, had to leave Fannie Mae in embarrassment over fraud charges. Jim Johnson, currently on the Obama campaign as an economic advisor with Frank Raines, he, too, used to work at Fannie Mae.

And you think Barry will save us huh?

  8. Your wrong and Obama is right! LOL

The high price of tobacco is not the fault of the tobacco industry raising the cost of tobacco products, tobacco products are cheap even when their sold to wholesale distributors blame the rest on federal tax, state tax, county tax, and city tax, and they all want to raise those taxes even more since the population is smoking less, and if you have read or listened to Obama's plan if you are a U.S. company operating and keeping your job's in the U.S. you are rewarded tax breaks, but if you are a U.S. company operating outside of the U.S. you won't, that might bring some of our lost manufacturing job's back home where they belong. The raising of taxes is on personal income and if you don't make over $250,000 a year you have no worries.

You did not listen to what Obama said.He said you will pay less then you did under Clinton.Go look at you 10 40 from 1999 and look at 2007 I paid 5k less in 2007.So anything more than now is a tax hike.Or is comprehension>you ?

  9. I just can not believe that grown adults are scared that Obama will enforce the "black value system" or that he will somehow befriend "Terrorists". Do you honestly believe that there wouldn't be a total upheaval of American society if this was to happen?

    ??????????????????????????????????????????

No!!!!! I am afraid he will impose the same Jimmy Carter polices that he says he wants to.He wants to impose HUGE taxes on corporations, news flash, corporations don't pay taxes. They raise the price of goods to the consumer"you" to offset the tax.Do you really believe that the owners of the tobacco companies got out their checkbooks and paid the fines imposed by the government?Hell no they raised the price of the cigarettes. If the corporation can't raise the price of their goods then they layoff workers. Its that simple folks

  10. Nicely done. . Obama/Biden will certainly be no magic fix, but at least there is the possibility of taking this country in a new direction.

But look at the direction he wants to take it.His polices are almost word for word what Jimmy Carter did.I went through that once. That was one time to many

  11. But the real question is why did our republican leader let gas get to this point? When he took office it was $1.52, maybe he should have become proactive when it double at $3.04. I'm all for drilling this will help the Bush family get even richer, and when fuel is still $4 a gallon a month after the first drill goes in I want to know how the republicans will spin that? When Clinton was in office I could work 14hrs a day and 7days a week.

I would like to know how they are gonna spin it also.If it goes to $6 a gallon,I want to know how the dems will spin that also.Thats why I said why cant we drill AND switch to hydrogen or something in the near future.

  12. My guess would be this. Gas is over $4 a gallon and has the entire econmy in a slump including our very own SUV and truck plants. He wants to drill for oil, lower the price of gas, people start buying trucks again, truck plants go back to work. But I could be wrong.

  13. It is posted for Ypsilanti only because they are closing. The rest of the ACH production people have had plenty of opportunities to get out and they didnt. Dont feel a bit sorry for them. Let them "ride it out" a little longer.

FYI lots of people DID sign and didn't have enough time to transfer. Now its up again and where is the list?

  14. You didn't answer the questions, you spouted right-wing talking points.

    I'll ask again:

    1) Who's going to do the drilling? Be specific.

    2) How much is it going to cost? Give us a dollar figure.

    3) Who's going to pay that cost? Will that cost be reflected in the price of gasoline?

    4) How long will it take? 1 year? 5 years? 10?

1 how the fuck would I know and I donnt care

    2 same as 1

3 tax payers ALWAYS pay the bill dumbass

4 depends on where the drilling is

5 No one has decided on what the alternative fuel is,so we are still on oil. lets burn our own

  15. Leaving aside the politics of drilling in, say, ANWR for a minute, here's four questions that MUST be answered:

    1) Who's gonna do it (federal government, state government, private industry, a consortium)?

    2) How much will it cost?

    3) Who's gonna pay for it?

    4) How long will it take?

    1 Alaska wants to drill

2 how much will it cost if we do nothing

3 we all know that one

4 does it matter? we must start sometime

  16. You must be smoking some great weed if you believe that! I"m sure we'll get some of any oil that's drilled but there won't be a surplus unless it's Gov. mandated, you see It's called supply and demand and right now India and China are our biggest competiors for oil. Just look at the Alaskan Pipeline, of the oil that flows through it, only 40% comes to the U.S. the other 60% goes overseas to Japan, China, Korea and other Asian nations. As much as i would like to see the price come down I see it only going up unless we fund a alternative fuel to use that does not require gas.

And where are you going to fill up with the alternative fuel? The same ^%# gas stations you fill up now! So more money to big oil.If we are stuck with oil I would rather burn our own
