  1. Has anyone seen any of these? Particularly Episode 3. Kinda funny how Dodge is hyping the new Ram, but when they're talking in the tent, directly behind the "host" is an '08 DSG SCrew. :hysterical: I believe there's also a few 350's and some E-series in there too!

Please let me know if you see nothing wrong with this, and I'll gladly tuck my tail and go hide in the corner.

  2. She's in the dealership lot right now! A lil dirty from the trucking from NY and the rain, but she is def. a sexy beast! Take delivery on Friday @ noon! :happy feet:

I just wanna thank everyone who helped out with tracking and updates... much appreciated!

Also wanna give a big thumbs up to everyone at Ford, esp. the Dearborn plant who had a hand in building my baby! She looks awesome and I am totally thrilled with her!

    :shades:

  3. A little headbang ! You must have an amazingly high pain threshold !

Yes, I do. I rarely get frustrated or stressed at work. Although, I do have a few habits/hobbies which allow me to relieve tension, frustration and anger with a single push of a button or pull of a trigger! :shades:

  4. I even think the Mark LT looks better than the top of the line F150.

I don't understand this when I hear ppl say it... the Mark LT IS the "top of the line" F150, just with a diff. grill and rims... strictly speaking from an exterior, seeing it on the road POV.

  5. Now roughly how long after the order is placed does production actually begin? It was 2 weeks yesterday since my order was placed... and I'm too antsy for my own good.

Keep an eye out for an FX4 SCrew 4wd w/5.5 bed and all the options (minus remote start and sunroof). That'll be my baby. :shades: I know you all will build her just like every other... Ford Tough!

  6. It good to see you feel this way. It's funny the first time I walked through a Ford facility as a new hire it was overwhelming to grasp all of the prcesses taking place simultaniously.

If you ever get the chance tour and autoplant. Everything from the process flow to the tooling is amazing. And to think that it is possible for men to think up such things. I mean most people are enamered by the finished product, but what it takes to build it is even more amazing.

The machines, stock delivery, assebly, and testing. If you ever get the chance you will see what I mean, I guess I just don't think about it much anymore since I live in the enviroment now.

I'm a manufacturing engineer, so I love seeing the whole process from conception thru to the final out-the-door product. Even if at times it's a lil :banghead: !

  7. Anyone who risks there job by taking a pic inside the plant, and posts it is a fool!

I in no way want anyone to jeopardize their employment. I was just curious as to whether or not it is possible. If not, I'll just have to dream about my truck making it's way through the process.

My wife thinks I'm obsessing a lil much... she just doesn't get it. LoL. :shades:

  8. Going to be ordering an '08 F-150 FX4 SCrew this coming Weds., and I was wondering if any FoMoCo employee had ever received a request to have a trucks pic taken during any stage of production (prefferably rolling off the line)? I think that'd make an awesome wallpaper for my PC.

Also, where exactly are the F-150's built? Seems like a stupid question, and I'm too tired/lazy to look it up right now. :reading:

  9. Can anyone deny or confirm this rumor? So far, I've only heard it from my father-in-law who's been a die hard Blue Oval fan all his life... and I dare not challenge his word unless I know for sure.

He also mentioned AWD was 'coming', but I informed him it's already available on certain models.

    TIA!

  10. i love how one of the comments on there is "i would never try that so who cares".....leads me to the point of truck buyers do not buy tundras.....average car driving people buy tundras cause they think they are cool

QFT! I know a few ppl who have purchased Tundra's... they're afraid to take it to Home Depot for 2x4's. Don't think my enlightening them on the tailgate issue helped though. :stirpot:

Anyone see the online petition they've started trying to get Toy oda to fix the shoddy quality?

  11. Can't wait to see the '09. Esp can't wait to see the 5.8 and possibly (?!) 6.0. Unfortunately, I will not be waiting to purchase an '09. Just can't get up the will power to hold off another year. Would xtra HP be nice... sure, but that's what Whipple and Rousch are for! :shades:

Keep up the good work guys & gals, it's greatly appreciated!
