    According to the latest Fleet Distribution News Bulletin (FDNB) published yesterday, it appears that there will be a short 2014 Model Year production run for the F-Series Super Duty.

    Motor oil recommendations-2012 GT

    I'm getting way way ahead of myself here. I managed to get my hands on an owners manual for the 2012 Mustang. It looks like the oil recommendation right across the board is 5W20. Wow, that seems a little thin, but then again alot of new engines have this spec, but I figured a high output engine would need a little thicker oil like 10W30.

     

    Any thoughts on this?

    5W20 has been a Ford Recommendation on most Modular Stuff since at least 2004.

    I run Royal Purple 5W30 in the supercharged DOHC 4.6 in the Cobra...

     

    Haven't had to change the oil in the Edge yet so I haven't checked the recommended specs on it, but I'm guessing it's 5W20 as well. I'll go with what it recommends. Will probably stick with conventional on the ol' daily driver though. Then again, with the considerably longer recommended oil change intervals I may just spring for the synthetic.

    I stopped running Royal Purple after I heard of people having lifter knock after using this. I read it on SVTPERFORMANCE.com and Mach1registry.com. I ran it in my Mach for 1 oil change read of this and stopped. I run Castrol Syntec in all my stuff and have never had a problem. I also had a friend in his drag car blow the motor after using Royal Purple.

    Sub Woofer Going Out in 2008 SD

    I have a 2008 Super Duty. It is extended cab FX4 package. It has the 6 disc cd player in it. On occassion the back sub woofer has a horrible popping sound. It is not static. I have played with the controls and have not had any luck. It did this to me in the summer for a day or two and then has started again this past week (stopped again after 2 or 3 days). Not sure of what it is any ideas? Or anyone else have this problem.

    I have a Escape on order being built this week. I need an X-Plan Pin. The person who I was supposed to get it from had his account frozen by Ford. Apparently the dealership in town asked for his number as a favor and used it a crap ton of times to the point that they frozen the account for 5 years. Any help would be appreciated.

    All you have to do is visit your local Ford Dealer's Service Department. Give them your vehicle's VIN # and they can run the report for you!

    Is it an actual build sheet or a 999 report. I want the actual build sheet.

    I have a 2004 Mustang Mach1 Comp Orange it has a late 03 Build date. I am looking for my build sheet in the car. I know there is a good chance that it is no longer in the car or with it for that fact: but IF it were still with the car where should I look for it. Inside or outside? Any help if you worked that line would be appreciated.
