You make fun of my intelligence with grammar and punctuation like that? I know there are issues that need to be addressed, trades' being the biggest right now. There is also an issue with major repair and tearback overtime that will hopefully be resolved, but so far Randy has not made any fatal mistakes. Everyone is back to work, we are getting some overtime and everything seems to be pointing to us getting a new engine. All I asked was what are your complaints that are so serious that Randy needs to go? Issues need to be addressed, be it at union meetings, on the floor or here, but the personal attacks againts the leadership do nothing but diminish the legitimate issues we have with our represntation. Granted, I have a little fun at your expense, but you ask for it. Why don't you focus on what you can do to help us as a whole instead of what you can do to bring down whomever is in office? In regard to unit meetings, the contract modification meetings would be considered unit meeting, so technically nothing wrong there. Now you state contract violations and grievences being thrown out but provide no examples. You tell me to ask other people, but you're the one making the accusations, so start backing yourself up with facts.

If I do run for another position it'll be financial or recording secretary IF they are part time positions next election. I never said support the leadership, did I? I said we need to work together to make things better. I think the mods being voted was the first step in the membership finally sending notice to the leadership that we are not going to led around by a leash. It's not rhetoric, it's fact. We don't vote on officers above local level. We have no say in the contract negotiations other than voting and basically the elected officers tend to act like they know what's good for the floor. We need to make them WORK for us not have them tell us what is good for us.

The problem with the UAW is we have become to bogged down in bureaucracy and forgot the true meaning of being in a union: brothers and sisters working/standing together for the common good of the group. Now that's a good point. The last actual unit meeting we've had was with Johnny. All of Randy's have involved the contract in some way shape or form.

ldf, I am Al Coscia. I am on the E-board. Member, I keep bringing up Lenny to make sure he DOES NOT have a chance to win anything. Yes, it is partially motivated by what he did to me, but mainly because of what he would do to us. Also, the truth is still the truth? Yeah, your truth is your truth. I stated in other posts that just because YOU say it's a fact doesn't make it so. Lastly, the Joint Council meeting is basically a rehash of the E-board meeting so I am not missing anything. Regardless, I missed the last three JC meetings due to work and one for personal reasons. In total I have missed four for work and two for personal reasons. We had the summer off and no meeting in December. Tell me who you are and I'll be sure to get my schedule approved by you.

Just out of curiosity, what exactly has Randy done wrong? I agree, supporting the last round of contract mods was a bad idea, but what else? Bitch about the trades agreement all you want, but Brad gave it his blessing so Randy ran with it. I didn't agree with all of his appointments either, but he is the chairman and so far everything has worked out. So tell me, what exactly has he done wrong? We're working, everyone has gotten their jobs back, we've brought brothers and sisters in from other plants, we have at least one new engine program and I am willing to put money on this, another one in the works. Is this all his doing? Not necessarily, but he is a part of the plant leadership and things have gotten better since he has been chairman. There are always going to be individual gripes, but you make it sound like everyone hates him. Dare I ask, do you have your own politcal agenda?

Burn in. I have an '05 SEL and had to file a failure to honor warranty under the Lemon Law. It's been to the dealership 14 times! Last problem was the tranny went out at 60K, fortunately it was still under warranty. Anyway, all but the transmission problem was electrical. They replaced the alternator about two years ago and still have problems with the CD player. I will never buy anything made in Oakville again.

I haven't been on the E board for two years. The point I am making is that regardless of what else was going on, the local has been distracted ever since the last election. Just because it isn't discussed every meeting does not that it wasn't on everyone's mind. If someone was trying to get you fired your job performance wouldn't be up to par because you'd constantly be worried about your future. Also, we've had contract negotions/voting and two modification votes along with a change in leadership at Romeo and the local due to appointments. Lastly, my problem with Lenny has nothing to do with Tony. My problem with Lenny is that there are people out there who think he would be better for the local than Tony which I KNOW is not true. We need someone with less than 30 years who can't just walk away if he does a bad job, but has to return to work with the people he screwed.
