  1. Congrats! The Taurus is built at the Chicago Assembly Plant. There are already 2011 Taurus' at my local dealer, so I would say yes, production has already started.

    i don't get it . why , it's only may .....

  2. I live in Saratoga Springs, NY and am looking at buying a new Ford this summer. I've been to Nemer Ford and talked with one of the salesman there, but I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them before I get too involved. If anyone has any Ford dealership that they recommend in the capital district of NY, that would be wonderful.

    Rob

Jack byrne ford and mercury , Mechanicville . i've bought at least 50 there since the 60's .

  3. Not so long ago these same Southern States Senators wanted GM and Chrysler to crash and burn without any government assistance. Their lack of concern for the impact that collapse would have had on the broader community now seems so hypocritical when it in their own back yard.....

Should we now behave in the same fashion as these biased individuals or should we support Southern manufacturing for the good of the community?

I can still hear and see Senator Shelby beating up on the big three at the hearings last year . He and others wanted to see Detroit squashed so that their foreign transplant manufacturers would prosper . I don't see anything different this time . These governors and legislators with Toyota plants are going to scream bloody murder if Toyoda takes a shot . Members of Japan's government say they are concerned about hard feelings if we come down on toyoda , and once again Japan holds the biggest piece of our debt again , having taken over first place from China . I hope I'm wrong , but I just don't think our government has the balls to do the right thing . We are owned !!!!!!!!!!

  4. turn ins were costing them 6 -8 grand per unit when the vehicles were run through auctions...thus they were open to negotiating buyouts to cut their losses.....kind of the same reason Ford has semi turned their own backs on leasing....its RISKY come lease end.
this is what i had heard and was getting at . my sales manager "friend" is telling me that if idon't buy at 20k and the truck goes back to ford he would have to pay more than 20 if he wanted it , and then try to eek out his profit . it would seem easier to SERIOUSLY offer the truck to me . my salesman "friend" thinks ford will offer something that might help me . i mean , this is not business as usual.
  5. i know there was something awile back but i can't find it . my lease on my f-150 is about to expire early may . i'm getting prompts from ford and my dealer to do something . i'm pretty sure i want to buy it back , however for the first time , i don't trust the sales manager (dealer) and ford is not giving me any real incentive to even buy another ford . i really would like to buy the truck , but have a phobia that i might be paying too much . $20,375 for an 07 larriet . i'm still 2 months out . does anyone think there's any incentive comming from ford ?

  6. If you are looking to buy it you get a break on the lease option price if you do a pre-term offer if you have more then 1 month but less then 4 months left on your lease. Its a good deal for you if you want to keep your car. Oh no payment waivers right now but they do give you extra cash back for being a lease customer that goes on top of whatever the rebate is.
i'm in the same boat on my f-150 . talked to the dealer today . they weren't aware of any programs yet . my lease is up in may , and i'd like to buy it , but not at the $20,600 that was quoted 20 months ago. where are you getting your info ???
