  1. where is your old saviour joelly at?????remember his campain promise ,WE WEATHERED THE LAST STORM WE CAN THIS ONE TOOO!!!!!!!! only problem is... hes so busy getting his woman a sweet job with a vendor and setting him self up for myrtle beach condo action ,,,he doesnt have time for you and me,,folks i have never changed my tune,,i have always said joel didnt have our best interest at heart..he hasnt for years,,rawsonville was a great place to be,,but thats the past, the only one who is smiling here now is joel,,because he conned enough people into voting for him with his scary times platform,,truth is,, what will be,, will be,, no matter what god joel says and the future is as it may be,putting him back in as plant chair did nothing ,but give him and his bride a gravy train ride on us,,,half of us are farmed out acroos the region, but joelly still walks the plant floor saying all is good,,i cant figure out if he is mixing his viagra up with his reality pills,,cause his vision of empty floor space ,,sure is different than mine

What did i miss what vendor did she get a job with remember there are no jobs out there. Besides if the labor board was to find out a person would be in big trouble. You can't use that job in such a matter there are pages apon pages on the subject. It.s hard for me to believe that he don.t care about us anymore he is keeping the millwrights busy into converting the plant into a warehouse. Thats jobs for someone we have stuff from all over the country. They are almost done WHIPSAWING the battery job all over the place to see who will do what and at what price. IT will be like a awards show and the envelope please. This plant will do it at 14.00 and they will only use two trades MECH tech and electricians and the work rules well lets just say nothing comes without a price. So with that being said myrtle beach looks pretty damn good to me. This is not my FATHERS UAW anymore. I here tell of a local in ohio that said they would man the battery line with all displaced trades and they would fix it when it broke down just to get the work. The problem is the battery grant is in michigan not ohio or the envelope would be red and white. Well i guess we just need to wait and see its not over until its over

  2. Ya so what about the m/w from saline that went to production (he volunteered to go back he had a job as a m/w) Then he got picked up at R and E because he was working in production in local 600. The job never got posted. So yes you can jump a head of someone.

    [/quote

I don't know the situation but my guess is that he was a m/w at an ACH plant.then took an opportunity to be transfered to a Ford plant as a production worker , making that his new "home plant". Then when a skilled job opened up he qualified as the high seniority tradesman in his plant and was placed.

I need a fucking name and i need it yesterday . Please send it to my mail thank you. What is his seniorty????????????

  3. Ford plans to close Rawsonville...just waiting for Joel to retire.

Never going to happen while there are those on ILO....can not hire any entry level until all traditional are working or offered jobs at Ford locations!

Rawsonville is getting the battery job.

  4. It is becoming clear that Obama care will most likely pass." A dangerous provision inserted in the Senate version will impose an excise tax on health care plans that will force many to drop coverage and increase co-pays and deductibles for working families".

Just like the legal fund we retain as a benifit at the end of the tear your health care will show up on your check what the year was worth to you and the fam lets say 20,000.00 and you will pay 40% tax on it. Now that is change you can believe in. All the unions meet with the great one on tuesday to talk some sence to him.Good luck to all i think were going to need it.They claim the 40% will bring in 149 billion and if they get rid of it they will lose 49 billion of the 149billion.This payroll TAX is just another middle class TAX.

  5. What are you talking about. Timing the veba is to go into affect jan 2010 from stock given to the uaw. What stock does gm and chrsler have to give to the uaw. WHEN DID FORD GIVE THE STOCK TO THE UAW???????????????HOW MUCH DID THEY GIVE THE UAW??????WHAT PRICE DID THEY GIVE IT TO US AT???????? NOW WITH THAT INFORMATION MAYBE JUST MAYBE I WILL BE ABLE TO SEE JUST HOW BROKE IT IS. THE VEBA HAS'NT SAVED ANYBODY YET. IN NOVEMBER2008 FORD STOCK WAS BELOW A DOLLAR IT IS NOW 9.40 HOW ARE WE LOSING MONEY IT HAS DONE NOTHING BUT GO UP. ARE WE PAYING FOR GM AND CHRSLER UNTIL THEY HAVE SOME STOCK OFFERING OF THERE OWN OR WHAT. WE NEED TO KNOW WHEN FORD GAVE THE UAW THE STOCK AND AT WHAT PRICE AND HOW MUCH HOW MANY SHARES ARE WE DEALING WITH. :shades: :shades: :shades:

The stock is 9.78 today is are INS SAFE YET???????????????????

  6. Those are salaried and non UAW workers! They are in bankruptcy, they will be shedding everything they can!

did't know non uaw workers had pensions and 21000 salaried workers there were only 23000 VISTEON UAW workers.THINK BEFOR YOU TALK THERE ARE ADULTS ON HERE. I THINK YOU TALK JUST TO HERE YOURSELF.

  7. Although the VEBA sucks it was a wise move at the time.

The bankrupt GM and Chrysler would have lost their health care through the hearings. It was well documented by the right wing press that all other banruptcies the pensions are decreased on a average of 70% and no healthcare. I can still hear Hannity and Beck screaming at the top of their lungs of how dare these retirees get something out of this bankruptcy.

Auto analists would also condemn the taskforce for doing such a thing.

The terms of the VEBA were set and it would no be easy to back out of.

    Again proactive of the UAW

The retiree healthcare was also negotiated every 4 years just like everything else in the agreement.

Retiree healthcare was not a automatic benefit.

Cuss all you want about the VEBA It was nessisary and the timing was a little late but in place to save the retirees.

My friends and family that retired from GM thank God every day for the actions of the UAW for saving healthcare.

Again the VEBA saved my family and friends.

    God Bless the UAW

  8. I'm very disappointed at what it is being offered in lieu of what they have already been promised. I do have to say that I am happy to see that the eyecare dental, and perscription plans were salvaged, but the rest of the medical offerings have sacrificed to keep these coverages for now. When the meeting opened there were two representatives from the I-UAW there, Bob Rebecca, and another man which is part of the VEBA committee from what I understand.

When I first walked in there were several tables set up in the front of the hall. It was like an Army recruiting station with representatives from each of the alternate medical care providers (Medical Mutual of Ohio _MMO_ and Kaiser) signing people up for their plans, and passing out literature.

Then the informational meeting commenced. Bob opened the meeting explaining how the retirees had arrived with a VEBA. He gave a history lesson, about the company. He started with "The company has lost over 51 B in the last 8 years" then moved on to say that there is less then 40,000 active master waged employees at Ford". There is supposed to be over 120,000 retired, at a 3 to 1 ratio? Correct me if I'm wrong but weren't much of the 48,000 that have retired in the last 5 years due to early buy out incentives? He stated how much Ford owes and is paying on loans, but neglected to mention that they are now profitable! He discussed the structure of the VEBA committee, and named it's officers. Then cited that the company was under no obligation to negotiate retirees benefits, and that the company not only had the intent to let the retirees benefits expire all together, but insisted they had the legal right to do so!

It was complicated even for me to follow because they had 2 plans available, and were discussing the strong points of each simultaneously.as is they were one plan. On the surface they seem to be offering something comparable to what was being taken away. He suggested that members utilize $4.00 prescriptions from wal-mart and other box retailers instead of their new prescription plan if it is better, or if their prescription is not covered by the new VEBA prescription plan. He urged members to get their prescriptions filled before the 1st of the year.

Then he disclosed that there was a deductible of $178 per anum for an individual policy while the deductible will be $340 per anum for a family. This coverage is also not the $100% coverage they were promised, instead it would be 90% and each participant would have to pay 10% till they reach $570, at which point the coverage would revert back to 100%. This means there total out of pocket cost or services would be capped at $570.00 per year.

    Q&A

This was the section of the meeting that was the most interesting, because it seemed that there were members that had already done their homework that were approaching the mic. It was very contentious. The first member cited his discontent by stating that his wife and him were dependent on 7 prescriptions per month to live, that use to be covered but will not be by the VEBA plan. These prescriptions Do not have generic versions, and are not available through the box retailers at a discounted price. The member went on to say that it was going to cost him between $1,200 to $1,500 more then what he pays now. He also cited that covered prescriptions will cost 4 times as much as currently for name brand, and 3 times as much for generic.

Bob, stated how much the VEBA was under funded, versus the UAW's new stake in the company via stock ownership. I don't know about you, but this seems like a conflict of interest to me!

Another member stood up and shamed the I-UAW for negotiating sub-standard wages for newhires, and showed his discontent for the negotiators inability. I don't know if it was fair to slam them or not because of the companies stated financial position, but I'm also not happy with the concessions and share the man's anger. He asked the speaker if he will be enjoying the same wonderful benefits when he retires from the I-UAW, He also asked him about his double defined pension plans.

Next was a man that appeared to have a detached shoulder, and was wearing permanent soft sling. He was very angry, calling the I-UAW reps a bunch of crooked liars. He mentioned a time when he worked at Maumee stamping and one of the I-UAW reps told him his injuries would be covered. The speaker tried to put the sh-t back in the horse and said, "This man claims to have been informed that he had nothing to worry about, but whoever he had talked to told him this without authority or knowledge"! Then the disgruntled member began to approach the podium shouting "Bob King told me I would be covered" while waiving his finger and shouting back at Bob Rebecca!

I feel for all of the retirees affected, and we did warn the I-UAW of the risks involved in accepting the health care liabilities while these provisions were being negotiated! Now what of social medicine, when a reform bill is passed what happens to the VEBA contributions from the company? We need it to protect our retirees, and our futures, but what about the money allocated for this purpose?

To my knowledge this is not happening to anybody in michigan is this just an ohio thing or what????

  9. Hey dumb fk...know what you are talking about before opening your trap! I take it you are not one of the visteon members who have suffered through this temp assignment that has kept them working 3 yrs without. They deserve everything the UAW can get them. I am not trying to persuade anyone to do anything. How was what I said trying to persuade anyone to vote either way! They are going to get perscription drugs/56 hrs of personal time in 2010 and 40 hrs personal in 2011/ and for that they are giving up Easter Monday, 2 minutes of each break, and overtime after 40 hrs. Everything that we gave up!! So how about you shut the fk up and go fk yourself. I bet you got your supervisor a Christmas present this year, didn't you..... closet suck ass!

God i wish i new who you were. :shades: :shades: :banghead:

  11. I don't Care If it sounds "Gay" I was trying to keep the post near the top of the page. I already knew the answer for my temp local. This and many other questions need to be ask at the info meetings at every local still to vote. The light of day needs to be shown on this. Would your rep sell you out for a 5 dollars hour raise. I hope not but each member needs to know this now, not after the vote.

Sell me out were going to get sold out for 1000 pieces of silver. 2040 hours times 5 dollars = 10200.00 a year times 6 years 61,200.00. What do you think? What if they get over time ? If your production you better run for committee. If it's not in your by-laws I think it's by-law season right now you need to put it in and run. It's not the money they want they care about you truely they do. Just ask them they will probably give up the money just to represent you gladly.

  12. That's Right VOTE NO

the next casualty of the Wall Street meltdown will be your golden years.

Add that to all the give backs Hell 28 years and what do you get nothing

You are so right they have to clear all the bullshit out of there way first. That is what they are in the process of doing now the right to strike being a big part of it. Workers will be based on a standard that will maintain wages and benefits comparable to all of Ford's U.S. competitors including transplant automotive manufacturers. What kind of pension and health care does the transplants have no matter I guess the BINDING ARBITRATOR will straighten all that out. He will make sure are pension plan is comparable to the transplants I'am sure of it.

  13. Reality check here! The law and the umpire both state that the company only has to pay you the rate for the highest level of work you are doing at that time! So ask someone to show you the LANGUAGE (not some oral commitment) that stipulates that you would receive your skilled trades classification rate of pay! BUT! Guess what?! THEY CAN'T! IT DOESN'T EXIST! You guys are so screwed! We had some guys come back to the line just recently and they lost their rate of pay immediately! Do you think they're going to pay you the rate of pay for work you aren't doing? Get a grip!

Oh your so right But they might but if they need you you better not refuse when your getting paid.

  14. Are you saying you would vote no based on a opinnion from hardball? Trades will not do trades work while working in production jobs.

WOW thanks what was i thinking that would never happen if it did your right we let them fire us befor we would do the job. I mean you said it all when you said trades will not do trades work while working what kind of since would that make sorry.

  15. Commiteemen's rate of pay, is what ever their classification is. They will not get skilled pay. They would have to get classified to one of the skilled trades, which couldn't happen without going through the apprenticeship program.

Are by-laws don't read like that. At are plant the pres the plant barg and so on get paid the highest rate of pay that they represent all the way down to committee people.

  16. Just read on another thread that the production commiteemen will get a raise by the tradesmen on the line getting there pay back to trades pay. Is this true???? How about it Capt. is this true ? I don't believe this one and want to stop this rumor before it goes to far.

Sorry about the double men in the title.

Read your by laws they just got 60000.00 over the life of the contract up untill 2015. remember the ones that tell you no are the ones getting it. Check it out for yourself quit asking people like 723 thats what has put us in the place we are now. Read it for yourself.

  17. What a bunch of shit if you are on the line as a tradesman getting paid trades pay and the line breakes down and there short handed and you have the knowledge to get them running your fixing it. What are you going to grieve they made me work . Your own workers will make sure you fix it after all you are making 5.00 dollars more than them. The committee man you will get will be from production and he to will have gotten a 5.00 dollar raise because his pay is on the highest person he represents witch will be trades so hes just going to tell you that you can't refuse the job and being that its a back shift just do it and he will get into it on day shift. What will a person do refuse or do what ford motor company is paying them to do remember your getting a skilled pay rate. Maybe thats why they are letting trades with no production time go on the line.It looks to me like they are wanting to get rid of as many production workers as they can. when the production committee people read this they will all say BULLSHIT but REMEMBER that they are the ones that got a 5.00 dollar raise. We get nothing until 2015 but all the production committe people get a 5.00dollar raise. That explains why there such good sales people for this contract. :shades: :shades: :shades:

After reading that i hope everybody votes no.

  18. So I was talking to a friend that works at WAP. He tells me that a posting for 1 MW went up on thursday. He asked the union about this posting. He was told that this posting is internal at WAP only. I'm like what the :censored: An opening should be posted inzone for this opening not just WAP.

We can get it stopped go to work and stop it.
