  1. No, B-Crew at DTP don't get that day off!

We already off on Monday, that's just another

holiday we lose because our day off falls on a Monday!

you're right, but you still get the pay for it. so you get 48 hrs for the week. so in reality.....you didn't "lose" your holiday.

  2. I love how there is a spot for the match, why? because most companies you work for Match, this company could care less about hourly investing their money!! BS

most companies do match, what you forgot to include is that most companies also don't pay a pension anymore. would you give up your pension in exchange for a company match option?

  3. -Dec., ’05.- Lost a 3% raise, lost some COLA -- lost $2,000/year (about $10,000 total).

--Sept.,07. - Lost more COLA, (up to 50 cents/hour). Increased health care costs for

prescriptions, office visits and other co-pays.

    --Feb., ‘09. - Lost 2 Performance Bonuses (about $5,000 total); 2 Christmas bonuses ($1,200

total); COLA eliminated; no overtime after 8 hours; Easter Monday holiday taken away; reduced

    SUB ; no pay-in-lieu.

It is estimated we lost about $30,000 in money alone. But that’s only a small part of it.

--Two-tier wages. New hires lose over $25,000 a year. Two-tier wages make it harder for first tier

to get a raise and threatens to bring us all down to 2nd tier.

--The VEBA. Health care for retirees is no longer guaranteed. How much money will we have to

pay out of pocket when we retire?

--Lost break time and alternative work schedules. It makes our working conditions much harder.

It may take weeks, months or years off our lives. What price do you put on that?

Also they promise it all back if we start making a profit ,well its been 6 quarters almost 10 billion dollars profits ,they gave their salary workers theirs back and our number 1 ceo made more then all three number 1 ceos at Honda,Toyota,Nissan combine. They awarded themselves almost 96millions Bill Ford and Alan Mually in salary n bonuses recently and even our IUAW voted themselves a raise .

So I walk in to vote today oct 11,2011 and another fellow worker is asking the IUAW rep some questions. I over hear him asking a question about how did the union agree to a worker with 29 years gets 6k signing bonus and a worker with 3 days gets 5k signing bonus, his response was and I quote.... Thats what Ford wanted not the Union, What, his response was so what your telling me is ,what is in the highlight package is what Ford wants, I thought this is what our Union negotiated for us. He then started, thats the offer they wanted to make. WOW Then they got on the topic about profit sharing and he asked, Why would I want there to be a cap on profit sharing and he stated, I quote, Ford is only willing to share some profits not all. Then the last topic, get ready for the best one, He asked the IUAW rep, if the contract gets voted down, how does the union go back to the table to negiotiate. How does the union know what items the membership is specifically not happy with? He then stated, We meaning the IUAW no what the membership wants, they want COLA AND RAISES and all the things they previously gave up, but Ford was not willing to give anything back in this offer. After overhearing this conversation it sure sounds like Ford said to our union, put this offer on the table and see if they take it. The gentleman from the IUAW was doing his best to answer all the questions, but he did not even sound like he believed this is a good contract. He stated several times this is FORD'S offer. What a joke, Sure made my decision easy to vote no.

anybody can copy and paste. this has been posted over and over again.

  4. You are wrong ,they took retiree 700 dollars Christmas bonus away bah hubug and first time retiree did not get a raise in history of uaw.!

ummmmmmm. last time i checked christmas bonus was only 600 dollars.

  6. Add buffalo Stamping to the list of "NO" votes, my friend works there he just called me said it was voted down. They didn't buy the fact that the company promised them 138 million in plant upgrades and 400 new jobs when 100 of them just got laid off. They can't believe anything the leadership is saying there so they voted no.

you're a moron, and nobody believes a word you say.

    quit stirring the pot.

  7. I don't mind striking after what I gave up in 2007 concessions I started saving my 200.00 a week because I knew the raw deals would be made and we would finally stand up again.

you didn't even come close to giving up what we gave up in 2007. If you are who you say you are...........

if you're really 2nd tier, then you don't make an extra 200 dollars every week after you pay for everything.

You should think before you post. You think Ford is going to give you more? Hope between your 200 dollars a week in strike pay and the 200 you saved you can pay for your house, and have enough food to eat.

  8. I'm 2nd tier, I voted no..

wait a minute......... :stop: if you're 2nd tier you never had what we used to have in the first place. You didn't go through the pain of having to watch our brothers and sisters loose their jobs at other plants. You never had to think if your job was going to be next.

YOU WERE HIRED AFTER ALL THAT............

GROW UP. :baby: :baby: :baby::finger: :finger: :finger:

Let me know if the link doesn't work, I know the UAW site itself is having some problems. My question is on page 6 it shows a profit sharing to be paid this November for the first 2Q of 2011? Has this ever happened? Don't remember that ever....

  10. As reported on channel 4 news. Signing bonus would be as follows: Immediately $7,500, 1st year $3,000.00, 2nd year $2,000.00, 3rd year $1,000.00 for a total of $13,500.00. He also mentioned this including the grievance settlement.

Exact same rumor numbers have been going around KC all day. :blah: :blah: :blah:

  11. Any idea how many people might transfer?

Company is expecting 400+. They say a lot of people who transfered here from Atlanta, St. Louis, and Ohio want to go.

  12. My friend works there, he told me that just yesterday they sorted over 3,000 parts in the warehouse and used some of them that were in question. About 4 people were mad on the line and were yelling at the supervisor cause one guy asked him where the parts were coming from, if they were coming from the quarantined area and the supervisor all day wouldn't answer his question. He said the guy was going to call the local news and report it if it's true. My friend said the union came down and pulled the guy off the line to speak with him then he came back and worked the rest of the day without saying anything.

It was reported that some of the Ford vehicles can't be made because they can't get the special paint they need from Japan. I bet it's Plutonium based paint now..

    lol

hey tell your friend i've got some ocean front property in Arizona that's for sale.

  13. According to a source at Ford Motor Company last week, small amounts of radiation was detected on some F-150 engine parts at the KCMO plant. When they tested some of the engine parts they said the tests came back negative for any radiation but then there was a plant meeting and they decided to place the parts on hold and quarantine them outside in a special warehouse away from workers. (If there wasn't anything wrong with the parts why did they put them outside?) Some workers also walked out of the plant citing that they were told the levels were existent but not harmful enough to do damage to anyone. Some workers walked out and went home some stayed. Those workers that walked out were called back the next day and were told that everything was OK and that there wasn't anything to be worried about. Some workers were offered to wear masks while on the job and they were also told to stay at their stations and if anyone else walks out that they would be written up for walking off the job and stopping production.

I think the UAW now should give out Geiger Counters and Iodine tablets this summer when they bring water for everyone to drink, then again we don't even know what's in the watter in some of these plants. Bottle it boys!.

WHAT COLUMN # DO YOU YOU WORK AT? i WOULD REALLY LIKE TO COME MEET YOUR DILLWEED ASS! YOU ARE AN IDIOT!

  15. Why is Ford stonewalling about the official product to replace the Escape? My guess is because what they plan on bringing in here will require only a one shift operation to meet their production schedule. If you are low on seniority, a transfer to LAP might be a wise choice.

Part of the deal with the state is that they have to retain full time employment at current levels of 3750 hourly workers.
