HAHAHA!!I know we should be happy to be working but when you hear the rumors and they are coming from union and management alike you get your mind ready!
the shift reduction and line speed reduction will be taking place in June, told by an IE heading it up, looking at a loss of almost 250 JOBS, that equals many more people, in the neighborhood of 400 or more when this all gets finished...stay tuned

At this point i wish they would just lay me off get it outta the way.Already off now and on a marvin rotation.Decent summer break would be fine with me i have so much stuff around mine and fathers home to do i wouldnt miss work at all.
Brother(or Sister) zip...what we need from our ELECTED officials is the truth!!! so thet WE the union brothers and sisters can make a better educated decision about OUR future...thats the UNIONS future!!! Why is the truth so hard to come by? If I had known what I know now, I would have taken the 100,000$ buyout with my seniority instead of being forced out at half the price because my chairman told me i am alright!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I still believe that the right thing will be done if the right people are pushing it, and the right people that care about seniority stand behind us..regardless of bills lies, there will be line speed reduction!, the people that were going to dearborn and woodhaven are coming back!, the 1999-2002 that he told were safe in the minutes of the last 3 union meetings are lies! Kind of funny that there is still not a definite word from those in power about a layoff,but last night a good portion of low seniority had people training on their jobs.Guess the final word will come around midnight on the friday before we come back from layoff.
like the bulletin that was put out thursday said, its only former politicians that are spreading rumors...slick willy says .."everyone gonna be alright" :blah: :blah: :blah:

we didnt use the 6/10/15 rule when mtp came over why would we be using it if they cut a shift.
we didnt use it because everyone that came over from MTP was placed, no one from WAP or ISA was displaced. our leadership told us that everyone is safe and dont buy into the rumors even though there are 10 people sitting at each picnic table with no job assignment, everyone will have a job!. well now that people are going to be hitting the streets and a shift reduction at ISA is inevitable along with line speed reduction the 6-10-15 comes into effect. You only use it in layoff status.

The word I heard before all of the layoffs started was close to 400 - 600 when all was said and done. When the shift drops at isa they will take what they need and the rest are gone. the rest of the people being laid off will come from the bottom of the seniority list from wap. Word is you will need 93 seniority to stay in isa.
Where it gets interesting is if somebody with lets say 15 years seniority wants to use 6-10-15 to come to wap from isa if they do not make the cut, they would have to bump someone with 6-10 years. Thats how the 6-10-15 works. Now if they get rid of the amount of people they claim from wap there will be nobody left in that bracket. So now what? Does somebody with 15 years go on ilo while somebody with 13 years works? This is going to get real messy.

Actually we were told the positions were open all ready and that we were replacing buyouts and retired people. But apparently that was BS. So now we sit and wait. Sorry for trying to go to a open job so someone else could stay at Wayne.
There are now 80 on ILO this week..2 waves of 60 each within next month, equalling 200... from there they are bringing in a team of engineers to re-balance an eliminate 3rd crew at ISA and reduce line speed to 56 an hour,after 6-10-15 rule there will be losses resulting in at least 20% of the remaining workforce, another 200-300 brothers and sisters. And at same time the sorry ass leadership has told you that everyone is going to be OK, no one from 900 will be in the street"(BILL JOHNSON) etc. etc...this is in the minutes from the union meeting and you are entitled to see if you go to local and ask. The political BS that Bill Johnson and his cronies have been spreading is being put in the light, and as you notice..NONE of the bargaining have been on the floor since this has come out.WAKE UP!!! The worst thing we can do is sit idle while the politicians destroy our chances of supporting our families...this is the TRUTH...more to follow soon...

I've been watching it since it first started. What does it have to do with sensitivity? I watch Hopalong Cassidy on Silver Screen. I prefer the older ones with Gabby (Windy) Hayes. He quit and went over to Republic to be Roy Rogers' side kick. I watch Roy, too, but many of them are contemporary rather than based in the 1800s. so alan already had a master plan to geet his money back from his 30% reduction, typical...problem is gettlefinger is laying next to him in bed. would anyone disagree that there are still a lot more cuts that can take place on that side without side notes to get them back in 3 months?

It looks as though the debt for equity swap shares were applied for last fall and as Ford claims would already be valued in the current stock price. Is Ford divided? I say yes you have the bosses that make the lions share of pay and do the least value added work and the workers who are asked to give and give. What if the union workers went on strike? Would the bosses be able to keep Ford in business without hourly workers? Now if all of the bosses, not sales, not buyers but executive bosses were to walk out would the company continue to function? The union has time and time again tried to make Ford one Ford but the bosses continue to show us that its them and then its the workers who are most important to this company. I hope the CAW reads this article and realizes the company will continue to take advantage of the workers and not agree to any concessions. If I had to do it all over again I would have voted no.

The original poster is dense if he thought that by accepting this agreement we sold out our children. Please tell me what leverage the IUAW had to use during negotiations? NONE.
If it had been voted down Ford would already be threatening to close down plants, and send their product elsewhere.
Padre- you misunderstood the original post, i was not condoning a NO vote, nor was I trying to sell a YES vote. What my concern refers to is this downward spiral we are in, even if we avoid bankruptsy, will still leave the companies in a position where our children will not have a 30$ job and the benifits that you, I ,my father, grandfather,were able to enjoy and support a family with.While CEO's were making 20-30 million a year doing what? If you think this is going to save Ford or that if GM goes into bankruptsy we wont be far behind, then i got a bridge I would like to sell you.

tommmorow at 8 am. bill ford, granholm and mulally at MAP, along with media to talk about c cars and new electric car coming that you can plug into house outlet....WAP chairman bill johnson and his mindless crew told us at orientation today that ISA losing a shift in June is just former politicians trying to cause dissention amongst the people, yeah billy, just like 4 out of the 5 union meetings you said that everyone is safe and no one from 900 will be displaced along with recently replaced former chairman mike oblack (sevicing rep)who also is a power hungry lying politician...its in the minutes that you are allowed to see if you want. how many have been put out since this promise billy? How many more by next friday? how many more by june...ohhhhhhhh and you also stated that there will be no local agreement until new products are in the local? we will see a super COA before then.....remember this post and lets see the TRUTH...stay tuned...for the TRUTH
