  1. Ive asked that same question every year and never gotten a straight answer. If you get one please share it.

It is 1.44%. As skilled one pointed out, it is in Constitution.

Also, it has been disclosed in every past contract highlight book, always under the heading "Dues: A constitutional matter".

  2. It is not "per contract". This agreement on 50/50 was made between HR and Int'l a few years ago and affects only those HVC's which do not have an onsite medical department. Has nothing to do with your Chairman or local management.....

Your state law may stipulate that the WC visits are to be paid, but many do not have this provision. Check.

Otherwise, put a resolution in for the next Contract to change this. Currently, there is no language which states that you have to be compensated for time spent for these follow up visits. It only states that the employee "will be compensated for the working time lost on the day in question".

Assembly, of course, is different being that they have onsite medical.

Your mileage to and from Doctor's visits and PT are reimbursed at .555/mile. Keep records.

  3. PDC (Parts Distrubution Center) is what the HVC's (High Velocity Center) used to be called.

And no, none will be open as far as I know.

Not sure if Memphis HCC (High Cube Center), Sacremento HCC, or Detroit HCC will be open.

  4. I'm going with this is a bullshit story. It seems to go past what Jeter says.

Just my opinion but several things don't seem right here.

    1. You went directly to your chairman over a day off? Not District or Plant committee?

    2. You went to management about union behavior instead of going to the union or at least complaining in the union meeting.

    3. You don't know how to take a day off or your worried about a single occurrence.

    4. You didn't expect to get yelled at by the chairman? What do you expect to happen?

This can't be true. I don't believe it.

He may work at a HVC. Broken Down...Do you work at a HVC??

  5. Just to let you know, Chucky is on here making up BS as iam2tier, and who knows how many other names. We know about the UAW getting on here sometimes, but we should be JUST as concerned about people who don't work here. YES or NO, this vote and discussion should be between people who have a real stake in the outcome, and not fired, anti-union cocksmokes like Chucky.

I looked up the email Chucky posted watkins3752 at yahoo dot com. It was connected to a bunch of websites advertising sunglasses. When I looked up who was registered as the owner of that site, it was Chucky Fitch.

I'll stop posting this now, but I just think everyone should be aware that not all the people on here are who they say they are. They will stop at nothing to see us infight with each other because of their personal vendettas. We need to stand TOGETHER!

    LOL

I wonder why the news hasn't requested a meeting with him? If I can find all this info out- why can't they?"

  6. LMAO.......funny stuff!!!

  7. Even though we have had decreases in our income, inflation has rose 19% in the last 6 years. And we haven't even come close to coming out of the current recession. What happens then? How much will inflation increase? Be assured, it WILL increase. 30%? 70%? 100%? More?

Dane, if inflation rises 100% or more, isn't it safe to say we will all be out of a job, or at the least, be looking at massive layoffs? It won't matter if we have COLA "protection" or not. If inflation rises 100% nobody will be able to afford a new car or truck.

  8. Ford is posting BILLIONS of dollars in profits. What do they want to do with that money? Invest it in our plants. I, along with many of you, say NO! NO! NO! They are promising $16 billion dollars in new investment, but they are posting $8 billion dollars in profits per year! This contract lasts 4 years! What are they doing with the other $16 billion?

We each gave up $30,000 in concessions. That’s about $1.2 billion dollars over 4 years, which is exactly the amount of money it took to turn around Ford Motor Company. Look it up. We singlehandedly saved the company, and it’s high time we were rewarded for our vision and sacrifice.

Ford and the UAW had a choice. They could listen to the people and give us wage increases, or they could reach a deal with the devil. They chose the latter, and it’s time to tell them NO TO INVESTMENT! NO TO JOBS! NO TO INCREASED PROFIT SHARING!

Let me ask you, how many people do you know that can live on $55,000 a year plus benefits and bonuses and profit sharing? I don’t know many, either. The people in my neighborhood all have good-paying middle-class jobs, $100,000 per year plus benefits. And Ford Motor Company and the UAW want us to be grateful for a job that is basically minimum wage. Do you think that’s right? Join me in saying NO! NO! NO!

NO TO INVESTMENT! NO TO JOBS! NO TO INCREASED PROFIT SHARING!

I read the paper every day, and all the headlines I see are about people prospering. It’s time for us to share in this new American Golden Age. For the past 2 months, Ford stock has been going UP! UP! UP! And they offer us THIS contract? NO! NO! NO!

Remember, WE are the UAW! WE want MORE! MORE! MORE! and we say NO! NO! NO!

  9. BRANDON KEATTS PULLED UP TO INTERNATIONAL---WTF?------- brandon keatts was a bargaining rep at saline he has 2000 seniority at best-----what was so good that he did at saline that he deserved to be pulled up to international? or was is some nepitism again----brandons dad is also at international-----isnt there anyone else more desevering, more seniority---someone more likely to take care of rank and file than this guy who will do whatever his dad tells hom what to do?-----------how many people got passed over so this lower seniority keatts could go up there to do and vote the way daddy tells him?

Seniority? You don't say that he was/is a bad bargaining rep. Your main beef is his seniority? Tell me, in your opinion, how much seniority should you have before you are put on staff? If you think seniority should be the only determining factor, you are an idiot. Or rather, a jealous idiot....

  10. Oh great and powerful OZ !!!!!!!! I'll just click my ruby slippers and .....there's no place like home, no place like home, no place like.....hey Truth ... there are no Ford locations in Kansas LOL!!!!! They have to offer us locations dude. You cant except what aint on the table. Let me guess , you are one of the executive board at Sandusky that is fleeing for Brookpark ???????????

Actually, there is a location in Kansas. Kansas City HVC in Shawnee, Kansas.

  11. I have no idea what you are talking about. I did not know Ford parts were coded to the year or vehicle line.

    6000's are engines.

    7000's are transmissions.

Try fordparts.com if you need a part.

Yes, Ford part numbers are coded to the year and vehicle line. The prefix is the year and vehicle. The base is the type of part. The suffix is the side of the vehicle or other instructions such as PTM (paint to match). Many part numbers start out for certain models and new models use them and the part numbers do not change. Motorcraft part numbers are coded to the different product they are (Y=A/C). Hesitant to say more being that this is an open forum. FCSD has many ongoing counterfeit parts investigations. Wouldn't want to help the bastards out. My advice to the original poster.....call a dealer.

  12. If it wasn't for the auto bailouts, you'd be in the unemployment line. I guess you agree with Corker and Shelby that you make to much money. Let me ask, what is it that you think the dems are doing that is unconstitutional.

Westmont would be unemployed, but he wouldn't take an unemployment check because it is a "socialist" program, right?......or would you westmont?

  13.

Just curious, are you saying louie is wrong, or uneducated?

I'm saying louie is wrong and uneducated in the sense that he read this article (probably emailed to him), immediately thought it was true because he read it, then, without even posting his thoughts on the matter, posts it in its entirety.

One of you says there is no Bill, the other one says there is, but it will never be passed. Who is wrong on this one, and can we expect an apology for the mistake?

    There is a Bill.

    http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/z?d111:HR04646:%40%40%40L&summ2=m&

Obamacare didn't have enough supporters, but with some backroom deals, it got jammed through.

No one yet knows how much Healthcare Reform may or may not cost or its effects. Just the same no one yet knows whether this Bill has any legs. I have a bias as do you. It should have passed except with a Public Option. The only backroom deals that I am concerned about are the ones that ripped the guts out of the Bill.

While they are allowed their opinion, and they might be right (that it doesn't get passed), the truth is, the Bill is out there, and could be passed. So let's not count the chickens before they are hatched.

Which is exactly what louie did by offering that post as Gospel. As if it was some sort of Presidential edict that then becomes true.

I read the article, and didn't see Beck's name in there. Why did you mention him? You have all the right to voice your opinion on the subject, but maybe we should stay on point with it. After all, we wouldn't want this thread to be filled with "talking points" from a certain political party and the network that carries their bags

Here is a point for you...."Beck is an idiot" I threw his name in there because...... "Beck is an idiot". The guy truly is........ "an idiot". I listen to that "idiot" everyday on the radio along with the progressive channels, flipping back and forth. This guy has so much deep seeded hatred for Unions that it just boggles my mind. He really believes that back in the late 80's and 90's when autos were selling, we, the UAW, negotiated these "bloodsucking" (Beck's words) contracts and knew the companies would go bankrupt because of it. Beck believes that back then we actually knew the crisis was coming for the auto industry and thought to ourselves, we will be alright, the government will bail us out. He actually said that. Are you serious? Don't even get me started about the Government conspiracy to use the black boxes in your car to regulate your fuel consumption.

Oh, by the way, the news source that louie got his info from sorta issued an apology for the article. Take nothing at face value. Nothing.

    http://blogs.standard.net/2010/08/1-percent-transaction-tax-is-proposed-letter-goes-viral-on-the-net/

    In conclusion....."Beck is an idiot".

  14. One percent transaction tax is proposed

President Obama's finance team is recommending a transaction tax. His plan is to sneak it in after the November election to keep it under the radar. This is a 1% tax on all transactions at any financial institution i.e. Banks, Credit Unions, etc.. Any deposit you make, or move around within your account, i.e. transfer to, will have a 1% tax charged. If your pay check or your social Security or whatever is direct deposit, 1% tax charged. If you hand carry a check in to deposit, 1% tax charged. If you take cash in to deposit, 1% tax charged. This is from the man who promised that if you make under $250,000 per year, you will not see one penny of new tax. Keep your eyes and ears open, you will be amazed at what you learn.

Some will say aw it's just 1%... remember once the tax is there they can raise it at will.

Bullshit. Get your facts straight. The Bill is before Congress, but has NO backers other than its author. As Snopes says..."A snowball's chance in hell". Keep listening to that idiot Beck.
