  1. We were told by the Plant Chairman yesterday that those of us that were originally from Saline but left and came back will not have to go back to Wayne or DTP this time but everyone else will. Sounds like something was worked out at the convention last week.

  2. Exactly there calling people from saline back not only to dearborn but also wayne...so they brought more ach workers in that have bein on layoff almost a year...there brought in to soften the transition of ppl in and out...we have a ton of ppl coming in from aai and other plants during this time as well...I was wondering if they will keep some of the ach workers here even after aai ppl get here since they are laying off a whole shift...I can't see them keeping ach workers on if they have ppl out on ilo and such...?

  3. :reading: :redcard: I heard from some reliably source that their was going to be a posting comeing up for some long term temp. for the saline plant. has any one else heard of this when will ford quit posting this temp stuff and just give real jobs instead they would just like to keep moveing everyone around with out any regards to seniorty :finger:

I talked with Kanitz last weekend and he said that Dearborn was taking alot of their people back and he thought that Wayne may start taking some of theirs too. He said that the Visteon employees were coming back to Saline.

  4. I am from CAP, just trying to see what other plants are using gun wise to use for there repairs? For some reason we cant get any new or upgraded HVLPs for our repairman. Any advise would be great. THANKS.....

I'm a spray painter at Saline, we are painting the panels with Graco Airpro guns. The repair guys are using Sata hvlp guns and graco hvlp guns.

  5. The dirt? The only thing that was being spewed out of red supporters 3 years ago was "SANDY, SANDY,SANDY". And those same people realize they fucked up. And soon after Pete won chairman, Tom ran for the spot under Pete (with massive support from the membership, and those whom supported Pete) due to Tom's passion for Saline, 892 and its member's. He did not retire, Or want to go downtown as those sorry unsigned letters tried to portray. He has stayed and is looking to use all of his contract experience to yield the best we can possibly get with our local contract and beyond.

Our local union is so divided right now its not even funny. We have a chairman, And then a commitee. He does not work with our bargaining rep's, He does not do shit for our district's.

If you feel that having a commitee divided as our's is a good thing. Then I do not see how you care about our member's at all.

What good will Pete do when/if Brandon and Schiffman get voted in as bargaining rep's and he continue's to shit on them for 3 year's? Brandon is undoubtedly the most loved person in that plant yet Pete continue's to kick him down. Pete tries to post his flyer's next to Brandon as if they are together and ride Brandon's coat tail's. Brandon is not supporting Pete.

Wildo, I know that people look at things differently, I'm just wondering if you're looking at this with your left eye that looks straight on or your right eye that shoots out the side of your head! You really need to get a life, I think you're spending too much time sniffing the trash you haul around all day.

Every candidate that signs up to run for an elected office in any election knows that they will be scrutinized but when there are people like you that have nothing else to do in life but run your mouth it really takes out any value in anything that you have to say. Now you're even talking about where someone hangs their signs? come on!

Buster6969 has been asking you to answer a question for him for the last two days but you can't seem to do that, if you're going to continue to post then you should get some facts.

  6. What you are going to see is ,Most people that listened to "PETES" no experience pile of campaign promises, Have left or took a buyout, because he has just about sunk the ship. Tom is the one who has helped Pete limp through these past few years. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, Ask yourself, how many times you have gone one direction, because of others., then later said to yourself, I should have gone this way not that way. Be real, we have all done it. I think you will see, Tom win this, as he should, experience & knowledge far out ways the dirt that he has on his record. JMO.

I understand that you are supporting Tom, but to say that Pete has just about sunk the ship is a pretty blind statement considering that the plant is doing better than it has done in years and better than any other plant around. If you think that Tom's experience and knowledge outways the dirt , you really don't know Tom at all.

  7. Before I left Dearborn truck I asked Barry Stevens who is better for us? I told Barry "You saw it from the inside as being a comittie rep and as a bargining rep." He said Tom is the man. Barry is a hell of a guy and knows what is best for us.

Is this the same Barry Stevens that tried to be a bargaining rep at Saline but couldn't handle the pressure so he retired? Now he is working as a "scab" cleaner at DTP. This sounds like a real union man to me! Watch out Wildo he may be coming after your job at Saline next.

  8. Fomoconomo: as I read this site you are all over the board, I dont usally justify rumers or lies but I will humor you on this one. I came in here with an open mind and was told that Pete was a good guy, I have asked plenty of questions and one common denominator seems to me Pete has let the international Union do the negotiating for the membership, you elected him to negotiate in your best intrest not the International Union Appointed Reps. As for the deal with Tom Kanitz you spoke about I have turned down several appointments at AAI in the past so why would I take an appointment now I dont have any problems working. I reviewed your by-laws prior to comming to Saline I have no problem being a member in good standing 1 year prior to an election. Now let me ask you a question so what if I did take an appointment would that be any worse than Pete appointing his wife to ESSP Rep. soon after he was elected Chairman??. I work on the Mustang reaction mold IP skin press on days stop in and see me sometime we may have allot to talk about. :hysterical:

Well I guess if you were really doing your homework you would know that the GEN rep at Saline is Tom's brother-in-law which Tom appointed while he was Chairman.Regardless who appointed them they have both helped me out in the past when I needed their help.

  9. To all that will be arriving at Saline for orientation it is two days long, I went through it weeks ago, very dry and boaring but being Ford workers you have been through it before. Ask questions of all of the Company and Union Reps. Ask about the job postings in the future and remember the answers and see if it comes true, one question you should ask is for a copy of the ACH agreement Dated February 18, 2009 ask for copies and have the chairman explain it so you fully understand what his inability to represent and negoitate for his membership got us from the International Union. :reading:

    Skill1987

I see from your postings that you are definitely a Kanitz fan, maybe you should ask him about the c.o.a. agreement he negotiated 6 months prior to the last election and had the company hold off on it untill after the 2006 election then Pete had to implement his agreement. Ask your buddy Tom for a copy of that agreement and see who all signed it and gave up the ship to the company. As for the agreement you are talking about, I called the International Union and asked about it myself when I heard about it. I was told that Pete and his committee did try to negotiate with the company but were not willing to go outside the guidelines of the Local Contract so the International Union took over to help the company through the churning.I asked who actually made this agreement and I was told that it was Frank DiGiorgio and Frank Keatts.

  10. I WAS TOLD THE OTHER DAY ABOUT A DEAL BETWEEN JON SNYDER AND KANITZ WHERE JON PULLS IN THE AAI VOTE FOR TOM AND JON GETS A SAFETY JOB FOR LIFE FROM TOM WHEN HE GETS IN! WHO KNOWS? POLITICS YAH KNOW! :shades:

Wow! I wonder how many people he's promised this job to, I heard that he offered it to Kathy Kruger too. When we were at Wayne they were talking on the phone everyday working on strategy to get him elected.

  11. Wether or not the contract saved them technically, He was right and they still had a JOB!

He has not promised me nothing. I do not expect anything from him other then to do a good job at what he was elected to do. And he does a fine job.

Are you pissed that you can't run again?

    :shades:

No I never planned on running, I'm just amazed how easily you can be fooled by someones B.S.

  12. They still have a job so he took care of them. And they are now Ford ee's so whats your point...

The Union Contract took care of them not Tom, the point is that he is out there making promises to us like he always has but doesn't care whether or not he can carry them out. Maybe he has promised you something if he gets elected, if he did and if he wins election write back and let us know if he kept his promise.

  13. :hysterical: I don't think Tom is the right choice either !!! He's not capable of telling the same Lie's consistently, it will change from day to day ! We need ACH Temp's to run the show in Saline. Honest People with a Conscience !!

I remember two elections ago when Tom told the low seniority people they wouldn't get laid off if they re-elected him, two weeks after he was elected they were laid off and later picked up by Milan. But he did get elected!! He will tell you what you want to hear as long as he can gain from it.

  14. Just my opinion but, Saline has elections coming up, and if I were a chairman who advised people that they should leave Saline if they wanted a job, while the more experienced guy who wants to run against me told people to stay? I might want to hold off on getting these people back till after the election.

As far as trades if there are guys on the street (UAW members from other plants) who aren't working, and Saline trades are working 7/12's and there are contractors working in there because trades can't keep up, I would say that they could probobaly use the help.

I just got back to Saline, I was never "advised" to leave I just thought it was the right thing to do at the time. It sounds like the same two guys will be running for Chairman again this time and I plan to vote the same way I did last time it must have been the right way because the plant is doing pretty good.

  15. I hear there will be nobody coming in next week due to so many lines down.

I just talked to the Union and we have people coming in next week and we also have people scheduled for the week of March 30th somewhere around 35 people each week.
