Here are some photos taken this morning - its Gold Leaf with Stone interior- Its a joy to drive - on the open highway it was getting 26.5 miles per gallon - around town just about 20 - but it only has a few miles - it will get better when things losen up - Extremely quiet and comfortable inside - a WINNER for Sure ! Got my new 2011 MKX - what a vehicle- Just like the MKT - it has thicker window glass which makes it very very quiet inside - the new 3.7 305 hp engine is perfect for the car - plenty of power ! New Guages can be set to your own requirements - Navigation is the best as well - The "JUKE BOX" as on the MKT has been eliminated - One CD plus two USB ports - Seats are much better than the 2007 MKX . They also put the memory for the seats on the dashboard, thus when exiting the car, you do not accidently hit the memory buttions as before on the 2007 MKX. Ride, Handling, power - all are the best - probably one of the best cars I have ever owned. - Its well worth the price - ! Phil

Borg - You will love it - Yesterday I found a dealer with a MKX - (different dealer from where I ordered mine) - I got in it - fired it up - and wow- the new guages - its mind boggling ! Seats are better too - nice piping too - Just the easy of getting in and out of the vehicle makes all the difference to me - I have a Z-4 -BMW - and its a pain to get into when the top is up ! Anyway - its WELL WORTH the wait for your MKX - even the indicator lights - like the BMW -Z-4 -, when you click it lightly - they blink 3 times and stop - if you push harder they stay on untill you have turned - Only one question I had for the dealer - is the Wood package Plastic or real wood - he said when we find another car with the wood - we can check to see if they are identical - Just hang in there Borg- the MKX is the vehicle to have ! Also two discount pachages- one for North East - 800.00 - and another for 1,000 on purchase from the lot - just say to your dealer - its on the lot right - (even if you order it) - they will give you the discount - go to the MKX site - and click on Shopping Tools - then Incentives and offers - to see what you can save - Since I have bought quite a few cars from my dealer - they gave me the car for their Invoice - only keeping the Hold Back (which is in the area of 800.00) so bargin with them - Here is the link : http://www.lincoln.com/crossovers/mkx/ Phil

Thanks Borg for the Photos - very nice- great comparison shots too - At first I was disappointed when they did not have the light bar , however the new design grows on me Have been told I should have my New MKX in Gold Leaf - in 3 weeks - can't wait - Borg - are you getting the MKS or the MXK ? Thanks for the Info - I have a Z-4 BMW with the "three" signals for a light touch - its great - specially when changing lanes - am glad to hear Ford has put it on the edge- probably on the MKX as well- My MKX is supposed to be assembled around August 30th- can't wait ! Has anyone seen a 2011 MKX arrive at their dealership yet - or are they still being held at the factory in Oakville Canada ?

I know they are built in Oakville, Canada - a friend of mine passes the plant every day - tells me many are there - ready for shipment- however - I dont think mine has been built yet - those that are made are for Dealer stock probably. I am about 8 hours drive from the plant myself - am wondering if they have any kind of a "plant tour" - would be interesting to see them put together - even if not mine ! Phil

if easy of getting into and out of the vehicle- then the EDGE or MKX (had a 2007 - and have ordered a 2011 MKX) the MKX or edge has it all over the MKS - even with ecoboost -the new MKX comes with the Mustang 305 hp engine - ecoboost is only 350 hp - you wont notice the difference - Again - when comparing with the Edge - I would go with the MKX - as you will be kicking yourself constantly when you have the Edge vs. the MKX - by then its too late to change - Phil

I have ordered a new 2011 Lincoln MKX - this is the VIN number : 2LMDJ8JK5BBJ02182 My dealer says its in "Build" - a week ago calling Ford Customer Service they said August 30th - and when I called today to Ford Customer Service - they said its in BUILD again - no mention of August 30th - If anyone knows how to track what is happening - I would appreciate it - Phil

Nice - I had MKT with the Ecoboost - great engine - powerful too even in a big Tank like the MKT - however- I miss my MKX - much easier to get in and out of - no deep kneebends when getting out of the car. My new MKX is bing built on Aug. 30th - and will arrive in mid to late September. - No Ecoboost fo the MKX - but it has 305 hp - so should be quick. Good luck with your car !

As to Price- no one pays sticker - My deal was at tissue - they just kept the hold back around 800 bucks - build your own priced at 49,850 - I got it for 45,400 - savings of 4,450 over window sticker including freight- from there it was a trade - and sales tax - my car will come loaded too - Premium and Elite pkgs. wood interior, All wheel drive too,. - For all the luxury I get - I consider it a excellent deal - Phil

Thanks to all for the reply ! I bought the MKT for the EB engine - sight unseen - The car was well built - powerful, and comfortable - however driver visibility to the sides was limited - the windows are shorter than the MKX - It also was a little too big for me - and I was not in love with the rear end of the car - specially since the rear hatch door was almost at the edge of the rear of the car - a slight tap in a parking lot would have hit the lower edge of the rear hatch - A buyer came along at the right price - and it found a new home. Having had a 2007 MKX that I really enjoyed (other than having two wheel bearing problems which seemed to be problematic on many). Now with the new design of the MKX - new dash - all the bells and whistles that I had on the MKT - better visibility - I cant wait to get it - it will be Gold Leaf Metalic ( just like my MKT was - never shows dirt) - Premium and Elite Pkgs. and with the new 305 HP engine - should be great ! Hope so - my dealer told me yesterday - they were still re-tooling - and gave me no idea of production - much less delivery to dealers - Hope you are right aresrutherford I notice you are in BMWville - where ever that is - I have a 2009 Z-4 - 35i -stick - great car too - but need something easier to get into (unless the top is down) Phil

Having had a 2010 MKT, which I wated from September till December to get- am now currious as to when the Production of the 2011 MKX will start - and when will they be shipped to dealers - I had a 2007 MKX - traded it on a MKT - and now want a new 2011 MKX again - am new here - my name is Phil - Ford has built some great cars - always happy with them !
