  1. received a call from my dealer yesterday , told me that my f150 2020 would be build in the fourth week of june !!  Wow !! ordered that truck march 11th, this is gonna be my longest wait for an  ordered  truck .

  2. After 7 years of jumping on the tailgate to get in the bed to pickup stuff, I`ve bought a f150 with a tailgate step. WOW !! can`t believe I`ve waited so long to get this BIG improvement for my aching back !!

  3. Fair enough and after monkeying around with the ford site, It seems as though the HD Payload package is not an option on super crews. Do I have that right?

Yes, you`re right. Don`t worry for 7 lugs wheel on a supercrew, you`d have to go with a reg cab or supercab with heavy duty payload AND a 8 `box to have a wheel swap.

  4. Well... I have indeed heard of 7 lug wheels. What I didn't get was that Max Tow includes the HD payload package ... and I don't really see where that's spelled out in the order guide.

So, my supercrew XLT w/6.5' bed that I ordered with the convenience, chrome, and Max Tow.. Since max tow implies the HD package and 7 lug wheels and the chrome package implies 18", 6 lug chrome wheels ... which one wins?

I only got the chrome package because the discount basically made it a cheap way to get running boards.

You`ll get the 18`` chrome wheels, the 7 lugs wheel will go on a 8` longbed truck with max tow wich requires heavy duty package

  5. OK ! I`m ready to order my new beast this week, but I`m still undecided. My choices :

    2011 f150 reg cab 6.5 f box 5.0 L off road package

2011 f150 supercab 6.5 f box ecoboost max towing package

Which one should be the best performer light to light ? How the 5.0 will be on gas vs the ecoboost.

I`ve always had reg cab trucks for 25 years, just afraid that the 19 inches more on the supercab make me feel like a bus driver !!

  6. I`m looking to get a 3.7 or a 5.0 in my truck. I know that when you get the 5.0 you can engage the 4x4 with a button on the dash. If you go with the 3.7 you have to go with a lever on the floor ? Do you still have to get out of the truck and turn the locks on the front wheels manually ? I had that system on my 95 and I hate it !! Hope someone has the answer !!

  7. I participated in the Ride and Drive event at the Texas Motor Speedway and they probably had 20 new 2011 F-150's there. It got me to thinking- does Ford have a special assembly line that they build these pre-production units on, or are they built in the R&D Lab sitting in one spot and one piece at a time?

    Thanks

Have you tried an ecoboost ??
