I ordered in early November and checked with my dealership today. I was told that production for "dealership" cars is underway. When these cars are cleared for shipping, build dates for "retail" or vehicles that have been ordered will be scheduled. The dealer didn't know when the first cars will be shipped.
My dealer, who was just at the factory last week (live in metro-Detroit), was told while he was there that they are making 400 test cars this month, which are going through extended QC and testing. They then plan to start full production on 1/31.
He also said they already have customer orders that have been scheduled (he didn't know the schedule dates off hand).
