  1. Don't be afraid of this unit. Sign up and come on in the water is fine. It's just repair work. No new builds. In the original group that was hired most of the people didn't even have a journeymen's card or did any formal training. The greatest diemakers that never built a die. The AWS does take some getting used to.

  2. Just remember what happened to Caterpillar!

Maybe those of you who think you know better can turn into musicians. I can here it now "On the picket line at Christmas Time!"

Everyone will shurely be sympathetic to our cause.

Vote Yes if you still can. It's just the right thing to do!

  3. Do the math and you'll see with the COLA lump sum your wage goes up by .70 cents an hour.

Just a reminder: Did you see what happened at Catepillar a few years back?\

Those who fail to study history are destined to repeat it.

  4. DD37,

    You are 100% correct.

People are whining and complaining and the deal is not done yet! I am shure when a deal is done will find out and vote accordingly! Our bargining team hasn't even started the compensation portion of the negotiation. We are on hold until they come to an agreement.

Cooler heads always prevail. We may not get everything that we want but we will get more than GM. Maybe even a small percentage match to our tesphe plan.

Guys like Walkowicz are all morons. The media eats them up spits them out and make us all look like hot headed morons.

Ford is loved now because of our business stratagey and our product. A cool, calm, rational agreement with the company will only make us look better in the consumer eye. We are blessed! We now have the product at the right time.

For all that think that Alan Mullaly makes too much, who would they rather have had guide the company through this economic turmoil than him. He was right on target with all his decisions and we are in fairly good shape despite the amount of debt that the company still owes to the banks.

Look at it this way, St Louis Assembly has 600 openings, they had 17,000 applications for jobs that pay $15.50. This shows you the real number of people who need work.

DD37, you are right on in you assesment of the situation in all of our plants. Remember this though, "You can't please them all!"

God Bless the UAW and the Ford Motor Company, and all us hard working UAW Ford Employees!

May God Bless our negotiating team and may He bless us with an equitable agreement.

    hahahaha

    You've been reported.

O my! I have been threatened by the burger boy.

    Camero Chuckie:

After your idiotic and moronic rant about the retirees of not just this great company but through out our great union, do you think anyone will listen to your insane diatribe?

You are a sorry and sick individual, that could use some phychiatric treatment.

Good Luck and have a meager existence!

SALINE, Mich. -- Ford Motor Co. says there's a tentative deal to sell a Saline auto parts plant to a French components maker.

Ford spokeswoman Della DiPietro (di-pi-EHT'-roh) said Tuesday a memorandum of understanding was signed for a sale to Faurecia SA. The French automaker PSA Peugeot Citroen SA is Faurecia's majority owner.

The plant is 40 miles west of Detroit. United Auto Workers union Local 892 represents most of its 2,300 employees and says it plans contract talks with Faurecia.

The plant makes instrument panels ,floor consoles and other parts for Ford vehicles.

It's owned by Automotive Components Holdings LLC. Ford created the company in 2005 when Ford took back 17 facilities from Visteon Corp., Ford's former parts-making subsidiary.

A deal to sell the plant to Johnson Controls Inc. collapsed in 2008.

  7. "Wayne" is open again..It is now called MAP....

The old Wayne Plant is Shuttered at the moment and handles no product at this time. MAP Assembly (where we produce the new Focus) is on the west side of the property and the old truck plant.

  8. They are making room for the rest of the legacy employees that are still left at the raws, sterling, and the ach plants. Once the legacy is placed they'll be room for the temps. The facilities that I just mentioned will only have the 2nd tier wage.

MAP will have many more people as we go to 3 crew and move to our 87 an hour build target as they throw bodies on the line.

Get over it Mike the Truck Plant is history and your radical politics lost!

  9. Goddard is a JOKE he is a very good spin doctor he has some people at Rawsonville brainwashed in to thinking if they dont vote hom in the plant will close thats BULL &^%$. After 2 concessionary agreements negotiated by ole Jolie, the membership numbers at the lowest in rawsonville history, areas fenced in and the lights turned off, WOW Jolie has done a great job NOT. Where is the BATTERY work Joel, another lie among the many. I am campainging for Mike Cornelious yep we need new blood in thereleadership need to be changed at rawsonville and other plants ASAP. So if you want to be an Ostrich with your head in the sand Vote for Jolie, if you weant change and a chance to change things for the better DONT VOTE FOR JOEL, a vote for Joel is a vote for the same old good old boy, hog cutting, self serving, womanizing, style of union. you deserve better.

Maybe your right. You vote for Mike C. Since he has been at the ole raws he has not written a grievence, or than again bargained a grievence. Hows that for expirience? How many Union meetings has he attended in his time at the raws since coming over from Auto Alliance? What's his campaign slogan? "Managements Candidate?" The company would f+*# his brains out if he had any. Be the committee man, than run and be elected to bargin, and then step into the big chair, but go right ahead smartboy vote for your choice.
