Just heard back from my dealer and all is well.

I now have a VIN and a build date, it also says priority 01. Cannot ask for much more…

Hoping to get my VIN number from my dealer too so I can track it. You were able to get it a week or two after ordering? Ordered mine in September. So my dealer should have mine then.  Did your dealer change priority for you?   My order says 19.

  2. Thanks.  Wish it was a trick question.  Feel that people on here know more than my dealership does at this point... that is why I asked.

I was hoping to post my question with my order number in the vehicle locator section of this forum, but I unfortunately haven't posted enough on here to do so.

    I will raise a ruckus then. :)

  3. Yup. I checked manual with no luck. The location is Corolla, NC (Outer Banks) and for some reason it can calulate the route up to a certain point then it no longer can calulate and I can't get it to the place I'm staying at.

I went to my Ford dealership and was told it mostly likely the software having trouble with that location. ..which was obvious (located on the only main road in the Outer Banks -- Route 12). I was told because of that they really couldn't do anything for me. So, I contacted NAVTEQ and they said ... "Although Ford uses our map data, we do not provide technical support on their behalf. For technical support please contact your nearest authorized Ford dealership." Just perfect!

I find this situation unacceptable since I threw in an extra $1900 or whatever to get the nav system and it can't even calulate a route that I chose. Has anyone else experienced this? Anyone? Advice?

    Thanks,

    Chris

  4. Hi Chris.:D Have you checked the Owners Manual and Navigation System Supplement Guide you were given when you purchased? There wil usually be a trouble-shooting chart (check both, but probably in the NAV Supplement) which may help solve the issue or point you in the right direction.

Keep us updated and good luck.:beerchug:

  5. I just purchased a 2012 Fusion SEL with a navigation system. I entered in my vacation destination's address with no issues. Found it and everything (even located on the map). But when I go to set as destiniation (calculate route) I'm getting cannot calculate route error. Any ideas as to why?

Any help would be greatly appreicated.

    Thanks,

  6. What really ticks me off on my 11 Escape is that as soon as I open the door the engine cuts off....every time. My dad has the SAME remote system from Ford on his 10 MKZ and it doesn't do this (all you do is put the key in, turn two clicks, foot on brake and you're off) ....I keep meaning to call the service dept. to see what they say, and it better not be a "safety change" for 2011's because what the hell is the point of having to restart it every time you use it (not to mention it causes more wear on the starter).

Interesting... Mine remains on when I unlock and open door. I put the key in and turn it in the on position and off I go. That must be a setting unless something changed for the 2012 models. I'm just concerned with the rear defroster on mine. Best of luck to ya!

  7. I purhcased a 2012 Fusion SEL and had a remote starter (Remote Start System - One-Button 100 Series, With Push Button Start) installed at the dealer after it was delivered from the factory. I noticed that the rear defroster does not turn on with the car using the remote. I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a way to turn the rear defroster on automatically? Is there a way to configure the system to do that or does it just turn the car on? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Chris

  8. Hi, my name is Chris. I purchased/ordered a 2012 Ford Fusion SEL w/ navigation system in late September. This will be my first Ford. I've owned Pontiacs since I started driving with my latest being a Pontiac G5 GT.

Fusion should be arriving soon. It's going on week 4 this week (dealer said 4-6 weeks), but reading the rumors about the navigation systems being on hold has got me worried a little. But getting anxious!
