  1. Thinking of bailing on the Ti trim as well ... given how Ford keeps stringing this along.

Mayhaps I'll branch out again to other makes and models.

Underwhelmed with Ford's roll put and communication ....

Yeah, i was okay with all of it until they decided to remove the dual exhaust and then when they put the Energis ahead of the Titaniums it was the icing on the cake. That was pretty unfortunate. They don't care, of course. They didn't lose a customer and probably did better selling me the one I'm going to end up with. I will say that I like the full leather seats rather than the "leather trim" the Titaniums were going to have.

  2. I know! Honestly, at this point I would take any of those three colors. I really do love them all. And I didn't think i'd like the dune interior, but I do. This one also has the blind spot detection and after the test drive I'm thinking it's a must have, as well. I texted the salesperson there and asked him to go ahead and draw up the paperwork. It should be mine by the end of the day :)

  3. I am inches away from closing a deal on this car. Will be driving to Carmax tonight to see what they are willing to give me on my Prius and if I like what I hear I will head from there to the Ford dealer. Drove this one on my lunch break today, she is as sweet as they come.

I do not mind telling you that I will be very happy to have this all behind me! Let's hope it goes down today the way I want it to.

  4. No change in mine, either. At this point I'm becoming very frustrated. My dealer is no longer responding to my e-mails, and I'm beginning to question the wisdom of my loyalty. There are two cars on Cars.com that look good to me but both are apparently still in transit. The one I like the most is going to a dealer that does not seem to want to get real about discussions via e-mail and though I have asked them if they will take my x-plan pin, they are not responding to that question. Having been in sales, this is the thing that turns me off more than anything-- the "just get them in the door" tactic.

So, I'm going to see if I can work with the other one to let me know when that car comes in. It's a ruby red, but at this point I really don't care. I just want my car before I put another 1000 miles in my Prius and end up forking over more cash to Ford than I care to.

  5. Well, I haven't heard back from my dealer other than to let me know that of the two I was looking at, the one with the charcoal interior (my preference) is still in transit. He said he would try for the other one, but I don't know if he'll be able to get it for me. I suppose if that can't happen I'll end up with the Titanium, anyway. Kind of bummed because I thought maybe I'd have a car this weekend, but now I'm back to wondering when.

  6. Okay, my dealer is going to try to get a car for me. I changed my mind (again) and decided I really want this one, which is configured almost exactly the way I wanted it, except it adds the moonroof and the navigation. It is much less money than the Titanium and offers more that I will probably find useful.

This one is at another local dealer. He will let me know if he can get it for me sometime today. http://fordlabels.webview.biz/webviewhybrid/WindowSticker.aspx?vin=3FA6P0LU2DR209336

  7. Maybe we should try all the Ford Social Reps that have FB pages and Twitter accounts. They can't do anything themselves but could push it up to their supervisors.

This is what I was thinking. Post it on some of the pages, that we have been disappointed by this apparent change. I also think it's a service to others who might be wanting to order this car to make sure people know what they will be getting.

  8. I'm with you brotha!! But who do we voice our concerns to? My dealer can't do anything, Marketing on their build site is no good. We need a POC, but I'm sure there's an engineering or cost based reason for it!

I never expected it to be a functioning dual exhaust system, only a cosmetic one. Even in the brochure I downloaded today at Ford.com the page for Hybrid Titanium shows the dual exhaust. Again, I know I was warned that form follows function but I am super disappointed at this and have been looking all day at SEs in my area to see if I can find one that matches what I want. The only thing holding me back, frankly, is how good my dealer has been to me. I really want them to have the sale, but they don't have a car for me.
