Hello. This is my first post. First, I'd like to thank everyone for the useful info on the forum.
My Ruby Red Titanium AWD (Driver's Assist, Sunroof, Adaptive Cruise, Parking Assist, 19" H-spokes and spoiler delete) is on the train at long last. Thanks to this forum and the information about getting the brochure, it will cost me $750 less.
Last week while traveling on business I was able to rent an SE. I travel a lot for business and I've rented 2013 Escapes a lot and I have considered buying one. I was surprised, and disappointed, to see a big mis-alignment between the left side of the dashboard and the driver's door inside panel. It was off a good 3/16 of an inch. Also, between the left-side a-pillar and the top of the dash there was a 1/8inch or so gap that allowed me to see foam under the top of the dashboard. I sent my sales rep an Iphone picture of it and he said that his personal car has something similar. Is this common? When I look at the brochure pictures I don't see this. This just isn't the way it should be and it certainly marred the appearance of an otherwise beautiful car.
With this post I'm attempting to upload the Iphone picture. The picture shows the misalignment around the vent and door panel trim. Less clear is the gap at the top of the two panels. Please let me know if your cars have something similar.
Thanks,
