  1. a lot of smug responses here. if you're telling him not to expect incentives on a hot car, why would ford have listed incentives? if i was buying a car, incentives that are offered by the manufacturer would certainly factor in my budget. if they weren't, they wouldn't be figured.

The Hyundai bashing is amusing particularly since you all seem to mock incentives. compare the Hyundai incentives versus what Ford's offering.

  2. I am one of the few that loved the ginger ale color but switch to blue after Ford discontinued that color. After seeing the blue, I switched to sterling gray. You cannot go wrong with gray or white. I wish they had a green though.

we are the few, the proud(?), the lovers of green on cars.

  3. Isn't a sale not final until the customer takes delivery and signs the sale contract? I.e. putting down a deposit is not the same as a sale.

Do other manufacturers offer detailed online tracking of orders by customers? I know some mfgs will generally refuse to build to order at all, you take what Mother Factory builds for your area or buy something else.

I suppose I can see your point (and marginal's above). I would think though that a dealer would prefer a customer be able to track on their own, rather than bug the dealer all the time. I would also hope that Ford or any other manufacturer would see the benefit of a more transparent order process, but that may take more time.

  4. I've been a Hyundai guy for the past 10 years, and really didn't see any reason to change that. Was looking to replace my wife's car, and on a whim stopped at the Ford dealership. Wife fell in love with the C-Max, and here we are. We're still about 5-6 weeks away from delivery - I'm getting antsy because depending on how much we like it, I may have to consider a Ford for myself. Got my eye on the Fusion - it's a nice looking ride.
