  1. Had mine in for service today and asked how much to change the filter if I already have the Mototcraft part... $29.95. I said heck yeah, best $29.95 I've ever spent.

For that much, sure... you can do it... - - - - I'll have to watch for those coupons

  2. I have 3800mi on my SEL 2.0 4WD, yesterday did a leg from Ronkonkoma - Hopewell Junction and back aprox 120 mi one way. travelled mostly 65-70mph only hitting some traffic thru the city earned 23.1 mpg. When I was moving I was using the cruise control set about 68mph. That was starting this trip at a full tank, this morning I filled up again I was at a quarter of a tank.

  3. My drivers side rear door handle is the most finnicky of all mine. All the others are near 100% of the time when I grab the handle to automatically unlock the door. But that one handle, well, sometimes it just doesn't want to work until like the 3rd, 4th or 5th try. I'm not sure if the system needs a second or two to "reset" or not and I'm being impatient.

I have come across that same issue but it happens on both rear doors. Funny everytime I go to record it to show the dealer .. it works. What I am currently trying is to make sure that the keyfob is on the closer to the door, seems to be a small trick that works better.

  4. So I got a ticket tonight for "Failure to Pay Full Time Attention" because my Escape lights were off. Normally they are on auto, but I guess when I had it at the dealership a few days ago they turned them off. Of course inside the Escape at night, even with the lights off, everything on the cockpit is lit up as well as the day time running lights. The 1 area I couldn't see (the rear lights) were off. Not sure if I'm more pissed at the dealership for turning it off, or myself from not noticing.

That does suck, as a FYI next time, if you look on the 4 inch info screen, the vehicle image will show if the lights are on. as well on the bottom left of the instrument panel (Tachometer) you will see a green icon on also showing that your lights are on. Good luck
