  1. I make a habit of checking the latest TSBs for my 2013 Fusion, and, since it can be a pain, I figured I'd share them with you all as I find them. Here are the ones I've found so far that aren't overly technical (i.e. not check engine lights, etc., that are obviously problems that need fixing):

    • TSB 13-12-7: WIND NOISE FROM FRONT DOOR WINDOW GLASS AREA - FRONT DOOR WINDOW GLASS DIVISION BAR CAP LOOSE
    • TSB 14-0086: AMBIENT LIGHTING INTERMITTENTLY INOPERATIVE AFTER ENGINE START-UP
    • TSB 14-0096: CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM BLOWS COLD AIR DURING REMOTE START EVENT - DEFROST NOT SELECTABLE UNDER REMOTE START MENU - INSTRUMENT CLUSTER
    • TSB 14-0099: MUSTY ODOR FROM A/C VENT ON INITIAL START UP - BUILT ON OR BEFORE 2/24/2014

There were also a bunch of others from 2013 that can be found on this page (scroll down to "TSBs").

I'll bump this thread as soon as I find new ones.

  2. I was trying to avoid the drain in my driveway so as to not bottom out, as I usually do, but I accidentally went too close to the cobblestone. Heard a bad noise, and immediately got out to find this on my passenger side wheel:

What should I do to fix this, Fusion experts? It doesn't appear that I bent the rim, but I want to either paint over this or something.

  3. The thing is, when Ford ironed out quality, their products were pretty dull. From design to features, they were about as Toyota as they could get. But now that we have a fisty new Ford with real Chutzpah, it's clear they completely ditched their focus on quality to make this new "One Ford" happen. I'm a little on the receiving end of this, primarily with my 2013 Ford Escape. However, the new Escape is a much better vehicle than the one it replaced, even if it creaks and rattles from every corner of the vehicle.

Quality is a bigger problem when the issue is an unsolvable design fault. Ford seems to have more of this going on with the Focus transmission for example, or the creaks and rattles in the Escape (for me at least). The Escape I own has no mechanical faults, it's just an obnoxious and hateful rattle-trap that makes my skin craw when I drive it.

Agreed. Even though they may have lost some of their quality with these new European designs adapted for Americans, the quality will come back around in good time. Just some things need to be ironed out.

  4. Bought her a little over a week ago, SE with 1.6, lux package, rear park sensors, park assist, MFT. Tinted the windows on monday, 35% sides and 20% on back window, state legal here in NE. Replacement for a 2006 GMC Envoy, Feels good to be back in a car...

That's quite the switch from an Envoy (as it probably will be from my H3). Nice car!

  5. I'm not expecting any kind of major redesign to the Expedition for the 2014 model year at this point. I haven't seen any spy shots at all, so it will probably just be some package/option changes for the next model year.

  6. Ford already makes it. It's called the Ford Mustang. As nice as a Fusion coupe sounds, it just doesn't make logistical sense producing a car that will compete against another car by the same manufacturer. They would be way to close to each other. I'm thinking that spring next year, when the 2015 Mustang is introduced, it'll look a lot more like what the Fusion is currently styled at. Plus the rumor mill is a 2.0+ L EB engine will be unveiled.

So my recommendation would be to stay patient and wait and see what the next generation Mustang looks like.

+1ing this. The new Mustang is likely to carry over much of the styling from the new Fusion, so it will be essentially a Fusion coupe (although much faster ;)).
