  1. I have the 19" Y spokes and can confirm that the ride is great and very comfortable. Also, I live in a cold area with less that perfect quality roads and pavement. If ride quality is your only concern between 18 and 19" I would say that you need not worry.

  2.

Everything looks okay? I mean I'm no expert but it seems to be all good.

I'm also having a problem where I turn off the car, it sounds like there is a popping noise coming from outside the car. I don't know if that's metal expanding/contracting but it's definitely a weird noise. Do you think that's related with the problem that I'm having?

I am pretty sure this is normal for cars with a turbo. I believe what you are hearing is quite common of a turbo cooling down after the engine has been shut off.

  3.

How, you ask? Those familiar with the 13+ Fusion know that the turn signal/brake lights are integrated into the same LED assembly in the middle (clear area) of the tail lights, and that the outer red ring is just a reflector. Therefore, the "gun smoke" shade of tail light tint on my Fusion does not make the vehicle any less safe to other drivers. So what were the bridges you were interested in selling?

cjh, thanks for the reply. That car, and those lights look GREAT! Dark Side is a unique color, I like! How difficult was the install of the lamin-x?

  4.

How can you possibly "limit the intensity of the red lights" without lessening the ability to see them? If you believe that, I've got a few bridges I'd like to sell you.

Covering up your tail lights with anything that isn't completely clear is ridiculous, and should be illegal!

What i meant by intensity was that the contrast of red lights on a black car is high. I did not mean the actual intensity of the light; I was referring to the color of the plastic. Regardless, point taken.

  5. So my 2014 Fusion Titanium AWD is expected in less than a week. I've got the dealer working on a price for a lifetime Sirius subscription and molded splash guards. Is there anything that I should be looking for, any issues that people have found early on that I need to have the Dealer address?

Hey when did you place your order? I have a similar order and just placed it this week and was wondering how yours moved along?

  6. Because it's always a good idea to make your car less visible to others, right?

    Wrong...

Considering that many auto models offer this type of style straight from the factory I fail to see how your sarcastic response was warranted. Nonetheless, it is my understanding that these will in no way, shape, or form distort or diminish the ability of the actual lights to perform as designed in a safe manner. However, in reality that is the kind of thing I was looking to find out and is part of the reason why I asked specifically about the differences between the shades.

Anyway, if somebody has experience with these things and would like to offer some insight that would be great.

    Thanks!

  7. Anybody have any experience with lamin-x film for the tail lights on a 2013+ Fusion. I noticed they offer a few different choices (tint, gunsmoke, smoked). Was curious if anybody has real life pictures of either of the shades. I am looking for something that is not too dark as to be obnoxious, just want to lessen the intensity of the red lights.

  8. Just a few things:

    1. First and foremost the obvious, check for ANY defects. This includes any scratches in the paint, rims, interior.

    2. Check for trunk misalignment issues. Horizontal trunk misalignment isn't that bad, but I rather have it equal on both sides. Vertical trunk misalignment though, is absolutely abhorrent. Any vertical misalignment on those beautiful titanium tail-lights just look horrible :(. Definitely want to check for that!

    3. Make sure you double and triple check your financial paperwork. Make sure those rebates are applied! If you have a $750 coupon, make sure that's applied as well.

    4. Any services and/or incentives your dealership has (1-2 free oil changes, etc), have those in writing.

Also, as far as siriusxm goes.. those prices are negotiable. Two of my friends and one of my family members pay about less than 25% of whatever the price is.

For example, one of my friends got a life time membership (this year) for a little under $300. My other friend is paying $78 a year + fees for "all access".

My family member is paying a little over $13 a year for XM traffic only. Traffic + travel link was $21 or something, but travel link was useless for us.

Good tips..I will be taking delivery soon as well and will check for these!
