I guess it does crank no start when it's acting up, so fuel pump is probably the issue. Fordtech1, I told him your suggestion and he is going to move forward with that. Thank you all for the help.

[2001 F-150 Starting Issue]

Has anyone ever experienced any starting issues with a 2001 F-150? My co-worker has been having issues with his inconsistently starting. He's been able to start it and drive for a while, but once he turns it off at his destination, he has about a 50% chance that it will start again. The shop could not find anything wrong, and the engine is not throwing any codes.

 

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone happen to have any real world pictures of the new 2015 F-150 with Bronze Fire paint? Everything I can find either seems to be low quality or renderings....

Really... I tend to be more of a high quality sound person with enough bass thrown in that you can feel it. I don't understand why it is so hard to have a decent quality stock system.

I'm not sure about the ring and pinion specs, but I do know if has a manual locking feature. But, this automatically disengages at speeds over 25 mph.

[2015 F150 Paint cracking issue]

Does anyone know about the paint cracking issue with the new truck? Rumor from an engineer claims passenger compartment is so airtight that when doors are slammed it is causing cracks in paint.

This has to be fake. If the paint in that area was so fragile, it would have cracked when Edmunds hit the box with a sledge hammer.

I've sat in the Colorado, as well as other manufacturer's trucks, at auto shows, and I just don't think that they hold up the same as F-150s. Additionally, I know many people with disagree with me, but I have never understood the small truck market. Especially with the new inovations that have come through on these new F-150s, I was really dissapointed with Motor Trends Decision this year...
