  1. With the factory shutting down for 2 weeks prior to the build would that mean I should see the window sticker before the factory shuts down or will there still be people working during that 2 weeks that do that sort of stuff?
  2. Thank you Pioneer, Yes the dealer is small compared to dealers in southern Maine and a LOT smaller than dealers in other States. They don't do I high volume but purchasing a truck from a larger dealer means driving over 100 miles south to find a larger dealer and even they would still be a small dealer compared to driving 250 miles to go down to the Boston area. Plus buying from a dealer out of state gets real complicated and expensive with Maine's Tax law. What it boils down to is paying sales tax twice once to MA. and then again in Maine, its all most like an import tax for not buying in Maine and supporting local business and then having to pay $24 on the $1000 for Excise Tax to register it. Up until recently Maine was considered the highest taxed State in the country, but the last Governor said he would lower taxes, so he changes the way the State collected revenue and started calling things FEEs not taxes, and now we pay even more but they claim they have lowered taxes. 1 other thing, when do you think I should be seeing a window sticker on my truck? O well I guess I could always more right. As lone as the truck gets delivered in the 1st or 2nd week of August I'll be okay. Thanks agian
  3. My trip is not until the September but I wanted to get the break-in miles done before heading out... and ya I know "never truck what a deals says"... but one can hope that everything works out as planned.....
  4. The two things that bother me the most is that I ordered this truck based on the salesman saying it will arrive on time and I ordered a new 2018 Grand Design 5th wheel that will match the colors. The camper has already arrived at the camper dealership and they will hold it for me until the truck arrives. Now if the truck is delayed I will not be able to haul the camper with my current truck and will have to cancel the trip until next year and the camper will set at the dealer until the truck arrives. Then the camper will set until next year without being used. I just think that Ford should step up and provide a bit more support and feedback to a customer that is willing to order a vehicle special and ensure it get built quickly. The 12 to 16 week build times is just to long.
  5. I ordered my new F-350 lariat on 5/30/17, my dealer provided me with a VIN of 1FT8W3DT1HEE16516 on 6/5/17. I was later informed of a build date during the week of 7/17/17 due to the 2 week shut down of the Kentucky factory and an est delivery of 8-10 August. I've been hearing about significant delays in the builds and shipping of all 250 super duties and an even more significant delay with the 350's. I want to now two things, have the dates for my build and delivery changed, and is there something happening that will delay delivery of my new truck? The main reason for my concern is a planned vacation that is dependent on the delivery of the new truck. If the delivery is delayed, I will be forced to abandon this truck and move to a different manufacturer that may have one that fits my needs on the lot.
  6. Does anyone know the actual shut down dates, Shutdown start and return to work date?
  7. With my luck more trucks will be pushed to after the shut down and that would move mine further out.... O well that's one of the draw backs to special orders
  8. I was just wondering because the build date is the day after the shut down, if they move it up only 1 or 2 days on the schedule that would put it up to before the shut down.
  9. I was wondering if there was a remote chance that the build date would be moved up to prior to the 2 week shut down?
  10. I'm not to sure there will be any further negotiations beyond the incentives and rebates, it took me over 2 months to get the dealer to the price I have quoted...
  11. Thank you all for the feedback, I've come to the realization that I will not have it for my rip.
  12. Is there a way to change the priority one the order is placed and has a build date?
  13. Looks like your is all built and waiting to be delivered... Congrats Here is the link to your window sticker: http://www.windowsticker.forddirect.com/windowsticker.pdf?vin=1FT8W3BT3HED82906
  14. Based on the build reports in COTUS for many people on the https://www.ford-trucks.com/ Forum the spay in liner is only taking 1 day to get done and the truck is then moved into shipping status. I have a bad feeling that my being way up in Maine is going to really delay the shipping. With that I guess the old 2500 Duramax is going to be making one last long trip before I trade it. I sure hope this doesn't hose the trade quote I got from the dealer toward the new 350.
  15. Do you know if the production has increased on the F-350 line or is that mainly on the F-250 line? I know of several folks that order 250's and they are seeing a 4 to 5 week turn round, but people that ordered 350's are really frustrated with the 10-16 week wait times. I myself ordered a 350 DRW and based on the est delivery date from my dealer the truck will not arrive in time for my vacation trip July 29 thru Aug 13.
  16. Pioneer thank you for responding. The VIN I got from the dealer is: VIN 1FT8W3DT1HEE16516
  17. I have a question on the production time difference between the F-250 and the F-350, It seems that the F-350 can take as much as 4 weeks longer to arrive at the dealership than the F-250, is this just circumstantial or is there a valid reason for the perceived time difference. I know that different options ordered on a truck can increase or decrease the build time, like adding a bed liner or special wheels, but what else may cause a delay? The main reason I am asking is because I have ordered a new F-350 DRW with bed liner, two-tone paint, snow plow/camper package, FX4 off-road, Lariat Ultimate, Tow Technology, 5th wheel / Gooseneck, 4:10 rear Diff, and a few other things. What if any of these thing is going to make my wait longer. I was in hopes of having the new truck for the end of July for a trip we have planned, but my dealer is saying maybe not until mid August. Seeing how this is an F-350 I can't use the COTUS web tool to track the buid, I am blind to the build and delivery dates.
  18. Good morning everyone from the State that sees the sunrise first every day. From Cadillac Mountain in Arcadia National Park on the east coast of Maine you can see the sunrise almost 2 hours before any other State in these wonderful United States. I'm new to this forum but not a newbie to the Ford brand, it has been a while but I'm returning to the auto manufacturer that I've used for most of my life. I've ordered a new 2017 F-350 Lariat Dually and I want to find out as much as I can about the whole truck and the process of building it. I look forward to corresponding with many of you. Thank you for What you do. Gary R.
