  1. For those that do your own oil changes, you can get a 3 pack of 1 gallon Rotella T6 5w40 for 51.69 (and free shipping) and there is also a $21 rebate through Rotella. Amazon has it for $61 and change for those that do not have Sams Club. According to the rebate site both are participating in the rebate.

  2. All the newer Fords have that. There is a LED on the fob that shows green or red. My 2013 Fusion had it so it’s been around for awhile.

My 2016 F-350 doesn't have an LED on the fob. It has the factory remote start but no indicator.

Ford employees and Dealers have 24/7 access to Ford's Vehicle Visibility program which provides all information on vehicle order status including scheduling, production and shipping information updates. It's updated any time there's a status update and is the most accurate and reliable source for vehicle order information and updates. It gives the vehicle VIN number when the order is scheduled, provides all the scheduling information including the dealership ETA along with the shipping information once the vehicle is produced and released from the plant. Once the vehicle is released for shipment, it even provides information on the rail carrier, the rail car number, location updates throughout the shipping process, arrival at the final rail ramp destination, etc.

Most Sales Representatives don't even know about the Vehicle Visibility reporting system and unfortunately the same is true with the Sales Managers at some dealerships. If you're talking to your dealership, you need to talk to the person that manages their vehicle orders. If they can't give you the information you require it's an indication of the dealership's competency regarding vehicle order management, etc. Should you need additional assistance with tracking updates for your order, there are several BOF members here that can assist you if you provide the VIN number.

Thanks for all the help! I will follow-up with the dealer to see if they have any new updates.

Just curious. Is there a reason why you're not talking to your Dealer about your vehicle order status? Your Dealer has 24/7 access to the latest information and any updates to the order status.

I have spoken with the dealer and they said 8/20 for delivery. However the Ford rep gave me the 8/20 date and he thought it was the build date. Hence why I was looking for input from others that might have experience with this. I am confident in the date, but not whether it is build date or delivery date.

Is additional information typically made available to the dealer once scheduling is complete? Maybe the dealer would have more info now since the 8/20 build date (assumption Ford is correct) has been scheduled?

  5.

Is the 08/20 date a scheduled build date or ETA at the dealership? If it's the build date you can expect it to arrive at the dealership 2 weeks after production. If the order is scheduled your Dealer can provide you with the VIN number, etc.

That's a good question. The guy at Ford gave me that date but said he didn't know if it is a build date. I was going under the assumption it was, however the dealer seems to think it is the delivery date. I was just hoping someone might know what date would show in the system that chat/call center folks would have access to. Its not the end of the world either way, but I just need to plan for removing items from my current truck prior to delivery.

    Thanks again for the info!

  6. I have an aftermarket alarm on my 99 Mustang GT and love the 2 way alarm fob. It is especially handy if you remote start the vehicle from inside a building so that you know if it started or not. Longer range would also be beneficial.

  7. Hello, I am new to special ordering and I hope you can assist with a question. I chatted with Ford and the date they said was in the system was 8/20. Would you happen to know if that would be the projected build date? How does the scheduling you posted on June 26 relate to that date? Thanks for your understanding if these are dumb questions...

    Thank you,

    Scott

  8. Hi, my name is Scott and I currently have a 2016 F-350 and 1999 Mustang GT. I am upgrading my truck to a 2019 F-450 and can't wait to get it. It will be my everyday driver and also used to tow our 39' toy hauler. Thanks for adding me, I always enjoy reading through the posts to learn new things.
