The 2019 Mustang GT delays are not due to issues with the PP2. I have 2 GT's, neither with the PP2 or MagneRide Suspension, that have been shipped in the past few days. One sat at the plant since 10/03/2018 and was just loaded on a rail car yesterday. The other was loaded on a rail car on Monday and is now in transit going through PA. Both vehicles were released after the Throttle Body Replacement notice so those cars should be okay. I've gotten sold out of (2) Mustang Demo's in the past 2 weeks so I'm anxious to get back into a GT to drive soon!
This makes me slightly worried about my car. It was built on 10/4 right in the middle of everyone saying theirs is still sitting at the plant or sat for a month. Mine got on a train in 4 days and didn't seem to have any hold on it. I hope I don't have throttle body issues with mine.
Do you have any more info about the throttle body replacement notice?

I had the car for about 3 days and put a couple hundred miles on them. I got a rock stuck in the brake and it was making a god awful noise so I took it back and had the techs remove the rock for me. One of the super bright oil change guys came and recommended they put new tires on my car as they were bald. I just glad the sales guy and service manager where standing there talking with me so they could hear him. I didn't even have to respond as they handled the situation very well. I would be surprised if that kid came back to work the next day after the look he had on his face when they told him the car was 3 days old and the tires come that way from ford.
But yes it will depend on many factors to how many miles you get on the tires. I hope for 15k+ but don't expect much more than 5k for the rears. (I do like to accelerate pretty hard from every stop light.)

Now 11 days past my EDD and stuck in ETA Pending state (thx fuzzymoomoo!) and no car in sight; Dealer unsure what is happening.
Anyone take possession of a PP2 after a 10/1/18 build/blend date?
Yes my car was built 10/4 GT Premium PP2 I took delivery on 10/22. I put 1k miles on it in the first 3 weeks and guess what I hear a tick. I am not too worried about it as my truck does the same thing and has for 115k now. I am going to try some Liqui Moly when I do the oil change and see if that makes the tick go away. If it does then I know it is in the valve train. If not than it is either the injectors, throttle body, or piston slap. I have a scope and will scope the cylinders before I do any warranty voiding mods to the car.

What does this mean? I don't understand parts hold for PCM? Do you know what that persons status is? I am on that forum and I didn't see that post. I am going to go look for it now.
PCM is the Engine Control Module
here is the link

Someone on Mustang6g said the car they ordered was built on 10/3 and is not listed as a parts hold for a PCM. Although that person also said they aren't buying that story. But it is another piece to the puzzle.

Now I am wishing mine had got held up. If they are fixing issues they had. Mine was built on 10/4.

That doesn't line up. You can change an order on May 16th for the MY 2019 but the MY 2020 is starting production begins 10 days before that?

Has production moved up at flat rock? I just went in production over 2 weeks early.
-
unlike COTUS, this is a finished product and won't be so unreliable.
Oh ok. I understand the concept now. I was sitting there going now theres two sites to watch.
-
To bad they don't offer a webcam of the production line. Maybe 2 or 3 down the line. It would be fun looking and trying to find your car.
-
So after taking a look at this I don't see any new info from what Cotus would give me. Just reorganized. Am I missing something?

And people wonder why officers are always on edge. Every time they walk up to a car it could be their last step.

Was Chevy a sponsor of the race?

I ordered my mustang on July 25th and still waiting. All I received from the dealer was its on hold because of the suspension. If I take off the magneride it will get order off hold
I have drove mustangs with and without the Magneride. The wait will be worth it do not take it off your order. In my own opinion.

Velocity Blue/black is my current favorite mustang color followed by Magnetic (ragtops of course).
I agree the Velocity blue is one of my favorites as well. I had a sonic blue 2005 that I loved but seeing the new blue I am glad I ordered it. I was a little worried it would end up too light like the Grabber Blue.

I am so excited because I was one of them! I ordered mine back in April and I just got my VIN Yesterday with an ETA of November 2nd!
And I thought I had a long wait from Order June 22nd to EDD of 10/25. I also just got my vin for my PP2 build.

Thank you "akirby" and "5150", I appreciate your responses. I just got my VIN today, the dealer contacted the Ford Rep and got the VIN... the car is scheduled to be built the week of October 1... WOW, it was supposed to be 8-10 weeks from June 12 (delivery should have been end of August)... He has promised to ask the Ford Rep if there is any way to speed it up. Does anyone know why it would take so long? Is it because it is the beginning of the new model year? Or the 10,000,000th Mustang build on August 8??? Something sure seems wrong.
From what I have heard is there were a couple parts constraints. Not sure if you got magneride. but I had heard that and also the active valve exhaust were delaying some builds. I also just got scheduled for week of Oct 1st and had ordered in June. I have both active valve exhaust and Magneride on my PP2. I doubt the 10 millionth mustang had anything to do with the delay. Its just one car that came down the line like any other car.

Where did you hear this info? I am wondering why my PP2 did not get pulled back as it was built 10/4.
