I am at 6 weeks sitting in Shelbyville, KY on Ramp 8p. Guess this is a Norfolk Southern problem not Ford's. But same as the Vin/Build date phase, some trucks built after mine that went to Shelbyville 8P Shelbyville have been shipped and owners are driving them around now. I'm 8 hours from the factory and it will be a minimum of two months before it makes it to the dealer.

    Mine finally says shipped

I've made the rounds again over the last few days (dealer, chat & marketing), and again, all with the same response. Still "awaiting shipment", no holds with VVR secondary status only showing "released". There is no additional info on a reason for a delay. This has not changed for me in nearly 6 weeks. There HAS to be a reason these trucks aren't moving. Not knowing what the problem is, is adding to an already frustrating process.

Makes no sense that they cannot tell us what the hold up is

Still cannot get anything out of ford as to why my truck has not shipped after 117 days of awaiting shipment.

  4. Truck has been built over a 100 days now and I cannot get any info on why it has not shipped yet. Trucks with the same trim are being built, shipped and delivered but nobody from ford or my dealer can tell me why mine has not shipped. I know we are having supply issues but this does not make any sense at all. Do they just build a truck that needs a chip or part and push it to the side and just one day decide to finish it. I am losing faith in ford everyday that goes by.

I've been following your plight on another forum & feel your pain. Been waiting since ordering my truck nearly 9 months ago, also built w/ no holds and in the "awaiting shipment" with no explanation purgatory.

I have to keep telling myself it could be worse & try to be patient (it hasn't been 90 days for me ...yet).

Yes I keep hoping that mine will just show up with no updates from ford but that has not happened. The frustrating part is you cannot get an answer from anyone, its like my truck was built and now its just sitting somewhere and has been forgotten about. All i can do is hope

My Expedition was completed on April 20.  Originally said Awaiting Shipment Delay - Rail Carrier.  Start Date May 27 End Date June 2.  That changed on June 1 to Start Date June 25 and End Date July 1.  Still showing Delay Rail Carrier.  Does anyone know if the rail delays are clearing up or at least about how long a vehicle is sitting with that delay till they ship?  It is being shipped to outside the Philly area.

My truck has been awaiting shipment over 90 days and no one can give me the reason, dealer, ford chat or customer service this is getting ridiculous. On different forums I am seeing trucks that are the same trim level getting built and shipped after mine was built.Once you get  pushed aside they just forget about you.

This truck when last driven a year ago would stall intermittently.   The engine would just stop, seemingly spark related. This might happen after driving 10 miles or 50 miles. Let it sit for 5 minutes or 30 minutes and it will start and run well.  I think I read that there is an electronic component that when it gets warm can prevent spark and when it cools it reconnects so to speak. As I recall is in in or near the distributor.  Thats all I can remember but it sounded like my solution to the problem. It was a component that was known to be a commondefect on this engine.

Can someone here tell me what that component is? Or feel free to suggest other solutions to the problem.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Not sure  that year has it mounted on the distributor or drivers side inner fender but its called the ign module, you also have a pickup that is inside the distributor. It could also be the coil..I would price a whole distributor because it will come with the module and pickup already inside. It could be any of the 3 if it is losing spark when it shuts down

Thanks, but the Wagon Crew work was the smallest part of the work I did for the show.

Definitely a cool story, I bet you have a lot of good memories from then. Probably seems like it was just yesterday

I have my loan already from Navy Fed at 2.29% that is valid for 90 days, if my truck doesn't arrive before June 17th I will have to go back and get a new loan with the higher rates :( .

I talked to my dealer this morning about this and he did some digging and called me back and said he looked back at time of my order and I am locked in at 1.9% for 60 months

I feel very lucky that I got a good dealership. If only Ford motor company could communicate better this process would be better

Another issue with these delays for the consumer is that interest rates are going up everyday that we are waiting on Ford to get our vehicles out to us. My local credit union car rates have gone up almost 2 percent since my first so called delivery date. Thats going to cost people over $3000 just for having to wait and probably more than that because they are still going up.

  11. I know times are crazy right now. My truck was completed on 3/23 with no holds. It was supposed to ship 4/29-5/5 then went to 5/14-5/20 and now 5/29-6/4. Do not know if that is shipping date or when its expected to arrive at dealer. I sold my truck mid April expecting it to be here. Now I am begging and borrowing rides. Hopefully it will make it and not get changed again. Ford should have some way to let dealerships arrange their own shipping if they cannot get them out when first projected

  12. Mine is not on any kind of hold it was completed around 3/23 and the ship date has been changed about 4 times so far. My dealer called me last week and said It should arrive this week. This morning I get another email from Ford bumping it out again this time to 5/29- 6/4. Just wondering whats going on. I have no microchip issues unless they are tied to the trains that pick up in Dearborn

  13. Anyone have a reason it is taking so long for vehicles to ship after being produced. I think that 2 months after production is a long time and still do not know how long after it ships it will take to get to dealer. I know things are crazy right now but Ford seems to have some issues. I have been tracking other vehicles on another forum and some seem to ship days after production and others it takes months

    TIA

You’re expected to pay whatever you and the dealer agreed to when you ordered.  How do you people not discuss this with your dealer?

Well its only been about 8 months since I placed my order and I just got my window sticker last week and it is $2380 more than my preview order that In got when I ordered the truck. Kinda like when I ordered it had the park assist that we discussed at that time but it looks like now I will not be getting that when truck shows up. Things change in my world not sure about yours.   Thanks for the response.

Ordered my Black Appearance Package  XLT November 8th and have heard nothing. Question for the forum. Do you know if the BAP is available on a truck with a body color that is not black? I love the antimatter blue but was told that I cannot get the BAP in a body color other than black.

    Appreciate  your time

You should be able to get it in any color offered in the trim package colors

I have AS on my 22 super duty build that I ordered right after thanksgiving with just an order confirmation and a projected 6-8 month wait time like everyone else, but I read other people get theirs built with like builds order to delivery in 3-4 months. So I have zero idea who you have to know, or what fancy dealer you have to order from, but this sucks if you need a truck. I ordered a 350 platinum CCSB with everything minus a bed cover, winch and PTO. I expect it will look amazing when it shows up though

I would probably check in the super duty section for that
