  1. Have read that Ford has closed the order books for the 22 Bronco Sport as the plant is really backed up with orders

We did order one at a dealership today (Saturday) and the salesman said the order was going COVP and was entered as priority 10

Cant find out for sure if the order books or not, fully expect 6 months or so if the order goes thru, just wanting to know if the books are open for ordering

    Thanks

I have a question that I would like a reasonable answer to from someone on here that works at the plant. Why is it that normally from what I have heard a vehicle rolls off KTP’s ads LT line about every 57 seconds. And my truck that was sent to the plant on 29 October still has yet to start down the line. This is getting ridiculously stupid how trucks were ordered just last month have already been delivered, and yet I ordered in April and only have a damn window sticker to wipe my A$$ with. I am sick of the delays. If there are commodity issues still with my build, why was it sent to the plant. If not then build the damn thing then Ford. I am not blowing up on anyone e here, just really pissed off at this process.

From what I am seeing on TV, Dodge Ram trucks are on sale now

  3. Calif laws are a HUGE  part of the backup in the ports, historically moving containers in ports fall to the oldest POS semis due to multiple reasons & now Calif has made it impossible for companies to make a profit moving containers as well as mandating electrical vehicles instead of diesel

The idiotic California laws are hurting the entire country & the electrical grid is not designed or built to support what Kalif says it needs to support.

Calif can’t even keep the lights and AC on in the summer & has to have rolling brownouts along with other electrical power delivery problems & now they are demanding more and more electrical vehicles

Not to mention where does the electricity come from, that is the elephant in the room

Are you serious?  Ford was the first to do selectshift way back in 1999 on the Lincoln LS and they’ve had paddles for at least 10 years.   The buttons on the shifter work fine on my F150.  I use them several times per week.  They also do double duty to allow you to lock out upper gears.

    Not a Dodge invention.

Did not say Dodge invented it, just that they have a better system & Ford needs to learn from Dodge

I can pull the paddle once and hold it & the transmission drops to the lowest gear for maximum performance & then upshifts As needed due to performance

Sure ya can lock out gears on the Raptor, but blah, when it’s in Sport mode the paddles are worthless instead of actually being useful

Are you a climate scientist? Or do you read their scientific journals at all, or pay attention to NASA weather satellites. Or maybe individual country concerns that are on the frontlines of this threat? If not, then you should. The concen grows every year almost exponentially now as more collateral damage reveals itself in all forms from the ocean to land. Almost every country on Earth is now concerned. Making it political will doom future generations.

As I am new and trying to figure Out the forum & have no idea how/where to look can you please tell me what vehicles you own/drive, if you live a green/clean energy lifestyle in a climate change friendly home and do not use any fossil fuels, or products made from them.

    Thank you

Not completely accurate. Lot of interior parts are built to order and sequenced directly to the truck VIN.  Engine and transmissions are built to a predetermined build schedule that is published in advance.  I don't know the exact date scenario, but suppliers, and trans/engine plants are handled like any other supplier, they get the exact build quantity a couple weeks in advance and order releases follow about the same timing as  the vehicle build schedule.  Suppliers also get expected annual and monthly build rate a year in advance, and then about a month in advance they put out the next 30 day build schedule.  It's actually an amazing process that works.

Sounds like a complex process & not one that can happen very quick

Would love to hear more about how it works & how it’s tied to the VIN

follow the money & see who is getting rich off of the climate scans, or think for yourself instead of being told how to think

You can go back 50 plus years and see how the climate change wackos have screamed the earth is doomed & how they have always been proven wrong time and time again

If they were really serous we would have nuclear power instead of solar and wind and all the other carbon burning power productions methods

keep spouting your propaganda and I shall keep laughing

The 10 speed transmissions are built in Michigan iirc. Engines are probably assembled at a different facility(depending which engine may be different locations). I imagine the wiring harnesses are outsourced and likely assembled in China. Many of the electronics are built by other companys such as siemens, bosch, piersburg, etc). Axles for the most part are built by Dana.

I believe Kentucky is only Stamping(body panels) and Final Assembly Line, but there may be more going on there as well.

Good info about the tranny & axles, so it sounds like the different major assemblies are all put together somewhere else, shipped to KTP and they put them together like legos building the truck

I tow 16k plus and its a pain to push the lil buttons on the shifter if I want to control the transmission for climbing or decent while driving our curvy Mt. roads. I can never remember is the up button upshift or down shift and the steering wheel covers them. Ya ya first world problems. I never use my paddle shifters on my other vehicle as well but I dont tow with it either.

I do not tow anything with my Raptor, but do spent quite a bit of time on very curvy mountain roads and really wish they were better programmed, but that is just me

They’re very useful when you want to downshift before accelerating (when passing someone or before going up a big hill) and to hold a lower gear for more engine braking when going down long steep hills or mountains.  Otherwise sport and tow/haul mode work well.

Have tried this and found it to be lacking

However, the paddle shifters in our Dodge Charger SRT are excellent and I use them quite frequently, Ford should take a closer look at how dodge does it and copy them

I guess you haven't seen the map of what N.A. will look like when the polar ice caps meltdown as they are doing now at ever increasing rate. FL and LA will be gone. The coast lines along both coasts will be all shriveled up with the major urban areas under water.

Right now, the Florida Keys has to spend millions raising roads up as Miami has been doing. The Keys knows it's only temporary fix as water continues to rise. Miami has to raise roads again. Small towns along coast lines have already been wiped out by recurring storms. Even inland cities like Detroit are losing the battle. Continual flooding that sewers and pumps can't handle anymore without billions in new infrastructure.

Have you ever seen a volcano blow, I lived thru Mt Pinatubo eruption, that one volcano put out more pollution and did more damage to the earth than man has in his entire time on the planet and the planet healed itself

But keep believing in the propaganda and feel you are doing something to give meaning to your life as nothing I say will ever make a impact on you or cause you to change your mind

  12. Watched a couple videos of the KTP in action, but they showed completed assemblies being put into place & not the actual build.

Question is where/how do they build the motors, transmissions & other components they assemble into a unit that is then inserted into the vehicle.

They show building body panels, but nothing about wiring harnesses and all the other pieces parts that go into assembling the truck

2021 Ford Customer Order Verification for Priority Scheduling and Allocation (Revised 06/09/2021)

    WHAT IS HAPPENING
    • The Customer Order Verification Program (COVP) will be opening to all unscheduled orders on all vehicle lines (excluding Mach-E, Bronco and specialty units)

Verified orders will receive priority scheduling and will receive incremental allocation
    • The required documentation for COVP approval will again require a signed and dated buyers order along with a copy of the customer’s driver’s license
    .
A WBDO Screenshot or DORA is no longer adequate documentation for approval.

    • Any previously approved retails will not have to be resubmitted

    SUMMARY
Dealers will be able to utilize the existing COVP website on https:// to register retail orders for all vehicle lines (excluding Mach-E, Bronco and specialty units).

Verified orders will receive priority scheduling and will receive incremental allocation. Vehicles that are not verified will still be scheduled but will be scheduled within the dealer’s regularly earned allocation.

Note that while this program utilizes the same process as the Retail Order Incentive, only previously communicated vehicle lines are eligible for the incentive. Please check SmartVINCENT for incentive eligibility.

    Retail Order Prioritization Violations
This program is built on trust and cooperation between Ford and our dealer partners. There will be a zero-tolerance policy for dealers if it is determined that false retail orders were submitted in order to receive incremental allocation. The program will be audited by a third party to ensure consistency and compliance. One violation will result in the dealership being excluded from the Retail Order Prioritization program moving forward.

    ELIGIBLE VEHICLE LINES
All vehicle lines (excluding Mach-E, Bronco and specialty units) are eligible for verification and incremental allocation through the COVP process.
    • Mustang (Non GT500 or Mach 1)
    • EcoSport
    • Escape
    • Edge
    • Bronco Sport
    • Explorer
    • Expedition
    • Transit
    • Transit Connect
    • Ranger
    • F150
    • Super Duty

    COVP PROCESS
    • Customer places eligible retail order through their local dealership
    • Dealership will enter retail order into COVP website located at https://

Thank you, I had no idea such a program existed, nothing was said about this when we ordered our F250

So what is more pressing than trying to save our very fragile planet? There is a very thin, fragile atmosphere that circles our planet that is only about 55 miles thick. That is it that protects us from total darkness and no air. Destroy that and this planet will look like Mars. Solar winds will the turn this planet into a lifeless rock.

Forget bullshit politics and listen to objective scientists. Here in Florida the Manatees are dying off at alarming rate due to pollution killing its food source. And worsening red tide is ruining the coasts. Wake up alarms all over the place. Not politics, just facts.

Earth is not a very fragile planet, it is a very strong planet and able to heal itself

Man is very egotistical and narcissistic to believe the planet is fragile
