Got the call today, still needs to be pdi’d will pick up tomorrow.  Thought it was pretty funny that the three vehicle deliveries today were two electrics and a big ol diesel.

f450 lariat, ordered 5-18

[What was your trade in or previous rig?]

Should be getting my lariat ult. 450 at the end of the month(ordered may 18).  Will be replacing 2005 gmc 1500hd with quadrasteer.  More like putting out to pasture, will never sell, love the quadrasteer but need more tow capacity.  It’s funny, nowadays most people don’t know about quadrasteer(even some salesman).  When shopping/ordering was told by a few people how I’d be amazed at the turning radius of the 450 vs my current truck.

[Adaptive Steering? Rumor is no more AS!!]

I ordered a f450 lariat with AS and the Bed liner. I got scheduled for the week of 9/13 last week, ordered mid may.  Upon looking at the email Ford sent listing my options, AS was nowhere to be found.  Bed liner is on there though.  Talked to my salesman, what he told me is that Ford decided to build the truck without AS and if that is a deal breaker for me I could refuse delivery and get my deposit back.  Still a little confused because looking at the Ford notice Ice posted it says trucks with AS will not be scheduled.  Smart move by Ford in my opinion, why let a 1000 dollar option stop the sale of an expensive truck.  As far as refusing delivery because it doesn’t have AS, yeah right I’ve already seen 22 lariat super duties being listed by dealers close to 100k.

I ran into this with over 75% of the 2021 Ford trucks I had saved on autotrader prior to ordering a 22 in may.  You call them inquiring about that specific truck, all said it wasn’t available and most told me it was a special order.  Just like other posters have said the next words out of there mouth was we can order you one just like it.

Take a look at 4knines.com, they have a bunch of different options.  Definitely geared more for pets but still some good options.  I bought the floor hammock for my 450, don’t have the truck yet(got scheduled today though) but it seems built well and I can personally attest to their excellent customer service.

So now I’m a little confused, will call salesman tomorrow.  On my original build sheet I included adaptive steering and did not remove it, looking over the email Ford sent earlier adaptive steering is not listed anywhere.  There is another topic on this forum where people are saying adaptive steering has been discontinued and trucks will be built without it.  Hopefully will know more tomorrow

F—k yeah, got the email today as well.  Ordered 450 lariat ult. on 5-18 with adaptive steering.  I was kind of waiting to see what happened with townado’s build as I ordered considerably after him and kept hearing adaptive steering was slowing builds.  Can’t say I understand the selection process but I’m not complaining.  Best of luck to everyone in the future selections

That’s great news, congrats!!! I too have a 450 Lariat Ultimate order (confirmed 4/6) but I had AS. I tried to delete it the beginning of last week but my dealer was a little slow to respond. It didn’t get removed until Friday after orders were scheduled, so who knows if it would have been selected. I’ll just have to wait until it's scheduled. I’ll post when it gets picked up. Thanks for all the info here!!

Please do keep us updated if you end up getting scheduled this week.  450 lariat ultimate as well, have waited to pull the adaptive steering in the slim hope things might turn around.  Your situation might very well dictate what I end up doing.

F450 Lariat Ultimate, FX4, UTT, Quad Beam, block heater, upfitter, universal garage door, Atlas Blue.  In case you were curious.  No adaptive steering.

Seems like we got pretty similar trucks minus the adaptive steering, which I am trying to figure out if I should delete or not.  Saw another post where they said they deleted it and two days later got scheduled.

First off, thanks to all the posters in this forum it has been a wealth of information.  I ordered a f450 beginning of may, received the email from Ford and just like most am anxiously waiting.  I’ve seen some 350s and 250s being scheduled(now even in production), has anyone who ordered an f450 received a schedule date yet?

I put adaptive steering on my build so I know I’m waiting until further notice( last I saw at least)
