Forget everything I said and RUN to a new dealer!

What is the deal about adaptive steering?  Does that push the build date back? Microchip?  I too paid a deposit so I am stuck. I have a VIN so my sales person can't change the priority from 19.  If I delete the adaptive steering is that supposed to move up the build date?  I am towing a large 5th Wheel so the adaptive steering I think will be very helpful.

The WBDO (Web Based Dealer Ordering) system defaults to priority code 19 for retail orders requiring Dealers to change it manually. It's a very simple process but assigning a priority code of "10" or anything lower than "19" may depend on the dealership's policy, dealership sales volume and the number of other Super Duty orders placed before yours.

Thanks Ice. So my F350 retail ordered 4/16 by a very large dealer was given a 19 priority by default. I have a VIN but my build date has been pushed from 8/2 to 7/24 to now 9/18.  I asked my salesman if he could do anything to increase the priority and he said there was nothing that he could do.  Was he just saying that because he did not want to be bothered? Thanks for the help.

  4. Road turtle:  The Ford one is Anderson, I believe. I too read that the B&W hitch was excellent. It was eTrailer that warned me that they could not guarantee the hitch would be compatible with 2022 Fords. They are good people and have good prices. Do you have your 2022 Ford already??????

  5. I have an order (April 9th) for a '22 F350 in process which is scheduled (now delayed from week of July 26 to Aug 2nd). I have a VIN#.  I set up my account on Ford.com.  It shows I have no reservations or orders. I called Ford Marketing to see how I could link my account to my order. Guy had no clue and said that the only way to get updates was to call Ford or via email. I mentioned "MY2022" and he did not know what that is. This is chaos.

My question is can you keep track of your order in your account?  How does that info get into your account? Or do we have to sit back and hope our orders don't get delayed again without any notice from Ford?

    Very frustrating.

Are you folks that are getting VIN’s and build dates receiving the email updates from Ford that are illustrated in the order confirmation emails?

I have not received any email updates. I called Ford Marketing last week and got a VIN# and a schedule week of July 26th. I asked my sales rep at the dealer to get it for me and I got it before him. That is not a good sign if Ford is now channeling all questions through the dealer.

  7. I emailed B&W and they have no information about Ford's 2022 puck system yet. I have a F350 on order and I am waiting for Ford/dealership to confirm there are no changes to the system. Even though I'd like to pounce on good deals, I am waiting. I can't tow anything without the truck anyway!

Try calling Ford marketing @ 800 334-4375 and ask if you have offers in your name, also request a brochure. Go to build and price and build a few. No magic formula, but sometimes something gets triggered.

I just called Ford marketing. I ordered my 2022 F350 on April 9th. Rep confirmed my schedule week of July 26th and my VIN#. However, she told me that the PCOs are managed by a 3rd party and she could not generate one. When I asked her how to get one she hemmed and hawed and confirmed that logging on and ordering a brochure sometimes gets you one. I think that is strange. Why doesn't Ford just offer it? Whose pocket is it coming out of? Ford or the Dealer?  I created an account on Ford.com and downloaded a few brochures so I hope I see one soon. I also asked my sales rep at the dealer (who did not know the term "PCO") to check into it. Anybody have any luck going through dealer or Ford to get a PCO?
