My Build week is October 18 and truck is in production.   I have the VIN number but my Ford Pass App will not accept the VIN.  Is any one else having the same issue?

It likely won’t until the truck is built. It will show an error like the app cannot respond or something. Just wait until your truck is built and try again.

  2. Ok so hopefully this will help someone out.

No problem... and it's not that long of a wait... considering what a majority of us have been through to go from Unscheduled-Clean to Scheduled lol.... this is definitely a Broken and inefficient system and the lack of communication between Ford and Dealers and the inexperience of these Salespeople and Sales Managers doesn't help... once your truck is Built and QC inspected... it should be released to ship... that's a whole other process lmao.... but once it has shipped talk to your Sales Manager and ask then to check the VVR for shipping Information on your truck... if it's by rail, they can give you rail car # your truck is in and you can call an automated line to track the rail companies rail car #... at least you'll know where the rail car is... from there a transport company will have to get it released to them to tale to your dealer... it's a complicated process and yes, the wait ultimately sucks. Hope yours cokes sooner than later. I'm seeing a lot recently show up a week to ten days early even. Of course, some are showing up late and I feel for thos epoor souls who are forced to wait even longer than they should have to.

I was able to add it in FordPass today, but still no status change. I guess it’s very close to being “complete” as it hasn’t been able to be added in FordPass until today. Pretty cool stuff. I did try to “activate” it and I’m pretty sure someone pressed decline on the screen at KTP. Haha

That usually takes 2 to 6 days or so depending on what your order has and all for the turn around... and I had a buddy just get his order that said 10/13- 10/16 eta... and his showed up at the dealer 10/3 lol... so it is possible... mine has to come from KTP to Houston so I'm sure my dates are probably close... I know the Window sticker says convoy, but most likely will still come rail...

Also my window sticker originally showed convoy, then switched to rail shortly after.

Good luck to you, hopefully everyone’s trucks are delivered early than expected.

In Production technically.... because it has to go offsite for the Retractable Tonneau Cover and until it gets QC Inspected it won't read as "Built" on the Ford Tracker.... but if you have a Build date on there them it's built... it only takes a few hours at most to build a truck and isk the exact number per day but it's around 70-80 I believe... I could be wrong. That's why I say of yours has a date and it's days ago... then it's done and hasn't been Final Inspected yet. It will say "In Production " from the time it gets "Sent to Plant" which should be the day your Window Sticker is released. The built date will appear under the In Production part of the tracker once its built though.

yeah that’s what I figured, it has to get the bed liner installed, and I guess the soft Tonneau cover if they do that prior to shipping. Cool to see the movement none the less. Hopefully that eta gets bumped up a little. ?

Oddly enough Both my Salesman and Sales Manager are both out of the office today..... I'm thinking maybe they are on a mini vacation together! Lmao..... but also the Ford Tracker updated today that it was built 10/5 with an ETA of 11/4....

I have those same dates (originally scheduled to 4 October) but my truck is still “in production” has been that way since the 27th of September. Waiting for it to show “built” is yours built or in production with those ETAs?

    I ordered a F350 Platinum 7.3 with AS (I don't mind waiting) and 20 wheels on 8/4.

I asked the dealer last week to upgrade to the Tremor package. They told me it was too late to make a change.  They said it wasn't scheduled but it was "almost right there".

I smell BS.  What do you think?

You need to speak to the sales manager or general manager.

Even with a vin/scheduled week, you can still make changes, as I have done this. No guarantee Ford will accept the change, but from my understanding it is not made at the dealer level. This needs to be submitted to the regional rep to coord with ford to make the change. It will take some time to go through. For me it pushed me back one week but the change was made. That’s all that matters. For retail orders you should probably be dealing with the sales manager anyhow. Just my .02$

Yes as in production dates could get pushed back? I'm like you and did black appearance package which has the spray in bed liner....kind of stupid ford wouldn't just build it and then get a spray in bed liner from someone local (I.e. linex or rhino linings)

I don’t want to speak for anyone, but I’m pretty sure Ice has addressed this on numerous occasions and any restrictions apply ONLY to unscheduled orders.

I ordered way back in March. VIN assigned in May, and I've had a number of build weeks each month starting in July. Then Aug, then Sep, then Oct, which is when I deleted adaptive steering trying to get my truck built sooner. Of course customers are going to make changes to try and get our trucks built. Now, supposedly AS was deleted 3 weeks ago, I just got another build date in Nov. Seems pretty screwed up. If Ford didn't make us wait 8+ months, then customers probably wouldn't be making so many changes along the way.

By the way, the Ford online tracker still shows my truck as having adaptive steering. Does that tracker simply just show the original order?

so just found out I had my order changed, dropped the RCHMSL Camera and added the UTT camera system. The only way I knew was due to the Mach E tracker and the Ford tracking site showing the change. Not sure if your order still holds AS but if I was a betting man I would bet the change never got completed. Good luck.

If your Dealer has submitted the AVO (Alter Vehicle Order) change and it keeps rejecting then the order has to be "locked in" for production, especially if it's scheduled for production in 2 weeks. The Dealer may have contacted their Ford Zone Manager and/or the Regional Scheduler for assistance but it's very doubtful that they can force the change on such short notice. If by some rare chance they are able to make the change, the scheduled production date will certainly get pushed back.

The scheduling system has gotten to be a mess because of the volume of retail customer orders this year along with all the changes customers keep making to their orders. This is exactly why Ford keeps reminding Dealers to make sure customer specifications are confirmed prior to scheduling because orders are getting locked in very early.

Thank you, I did request the change on the 3rd of sept only about a week after I got scheduled and they couldn’t do it so I’m guessing that they’re locking orders much earlier now. Sucks but if they can’t I guess they’ll be selling the truck to someone else.
