This is somewhat bazaar as the Window Sticker is blue indicating it's a stock order yet there is no order type code listed. Do you have any documentation showing that the order was actually submitted as either a Retail or X-Plan order? The Ford Regional Office wouldn't re-prioritize a stock order. X-Plan orders would be treated the same as a Retail order and would generate a green Window Sticker, include the X-Plan order type and the X-Plan tag number reference. It looks like this was placed as a stock order, never prioritized and the Dealer will then report the sale as an X-Plan after delivery. If you don't have the X-Plan price, you have the right to see the Dealer Invoice that shows the X-Plan price.

FWIW several other people including myself are seeing blue window stickers.  Mine is also “in-production”   Maybe once built they will turn Green?  I confirmed a long time ago with my dealer that I am COVP verified, ordered in my name with Z plan, and I am getting emails in my name regarding my order status.  I wouldn’t worry too much about the color at this point.

  2. I just found out yesterday I am at a 02 as well.. and while looking at the sales managers screen, he had about 10 others at 02 also.  I’m seeing a lot of 02’s on here and other forums as well.  Kinda strange to see that really.  Almost like orders that are sitting for a long time, and in the COVP, etc are getting 02 codes without anyone knowing.   Either way I don’t care, and I just have my fingers crossed to get scheduled in the next week or so.

I hear ya on that! Now that mine is in production I plan on buying the bed cover soon and trailer hitch once it comes in. I’m not sure if I’ll have a 3” receiver or 2-1/2”. It’s got the high capacity trailer tow so I’m guessing 3”?

I believe if you have that and the 6.7l you have the 3”. At least that’s what I have been told.

Welll, well, well... I expected this thread to be flooded with excitement as lots of folks got that much anticipated email from Ford that their truck had been scheduled. Yet not a peep. Does anyone have insight into this? ?

People still waiting on 21’s, people waiting on 22’s, a microchip shortage, a re-design in ‘23 along with adding more driving features likely requiring more chips for ‘23.  LOL  this cluster can’t get any worse, can it?

I started buying parts and accessories for my ‘22, I’m really hoping it shows up. ?

  5. One thing I can see is, they are probably treading lightly with some of the commodity issues and lacking a little transparency because of the volume of order changes.  Could you imagine the amount of people changing their retail orders every time Ford announced an option shortage?

on a plus side, everyone ditching adaptive steering is probably helping the supply issues and also helping the people who ordered a Limited.

trying to juggle parts shortages tied to retail orders, then throwing order changes into the mix is absolutely bogging the system down….

  6. It’s definitely not helping the situation when people are going to 3-4 dealers and placing orders to see which one shows up first.  Heck even a 2nd order is not helping everyone else who is waiting for their truck.

All of the trucks that are popping up for sale on dealer lots have green window stickers… I’m sure some people changed their minds, but there’s definitely some double and triple orders, fake retail orders, etc in the mix.

I have been seeing a lot of trucks getting vin numbers who ordered in last month and quite a few from March to June still waiting “in order processing”.  It’s all about the options and commodities, but I still can’t make any sense on how someone with the same major options gets a truck ordered and built in 1 month when another is waiting for 4.5 months.  The COVP should be waiving the dealer allocations, so that’s not it…?

it’s fun and frustrating to learn all at the same time!

Last week I changed from value package to ultimate package, and quad beam led headlights.  Wondering if this change can be seen on your screen?

    Sales code F48013

    Order code 0602

I did not order the cab heater.

Ah okay.  I know if you have the rapid cab heater, or winch option, the 397 alternator is included… otherwise you have to order the 397 separately. The 6.7l definitely has dual batteries.  I believe the dual battery option is on the build sheet for the gasoline option only.

but it does look like you have it as it’s listed on your attachment.  ?

Yeah I think it’s sketchy that I didn’t receive a confirmation email, but when I called marketing they verified my order so I guess I just deal with it.

Sounds like the dealer didn’t include your email to Ford.  Or it’s in your junk/spam folder?  Either way it sounds like we’re both in the system… just hoping Christmas comes early.  Haha

Long story short, didn’t know I needed to order the 397a alternator if I wanted to add the winch down the road. Tried to add it but my sales guys said the system would not take the change because I’m scheduled. Original order sheet does not show the 397a, order code 67b, but my summary on the Ford order tracking website show the 397a. Could I have gotten that lucky?

Did you happen to order the rapid cab heater option?

Yea. Here's the response I got from another dealer: "you are correct...we needed to opt in to receive the trucks without chips...there was an insurance issue that was resolved today with Ford...those that dont sign the opt in would receive their vehicles later...they will ship the chips modules to the dealers who opt in b4 they fix the trucks sitting at the plant."

I hate being the guy with the dealer who doesn't know the right information. He's really confident that I don't know what I'm talking about too. Hot mess.

Sad thing is they will probably go opt in and not tell you that you were right, then pretend the trucks and modules just started showing up.

Sounds like something my dealer would do.  Lol

I’m not sure you really lost your place when orders are not produced in the order they are rec’d. Although I understand it is a new order number. Just a different way to look at it.

Yeah, you’re absolutely right!  Seems to be a random number generator or a lottery system so far.  Haha

It will be something going from my 06 F350 6.0 to this 2022, no matter the trim level.  I'm sure the power, noise level, creature comforts are going to be amazing!  I always said I'd never get rid of the 06, as I've babied it and kept it rust free, but I guess that only increases it's resale value.

Not to mention the power increase.  Everyone I know can’t say enough about the 6.7l power.

    I can’t wait.

    Hi guys,

Just want to make sure before I order that I'm not missing anything. The bed dimensions of a '21 and '22 will remain the same, correct? Going to order a bed rug mat. Thanks!

    Correct.  It’s the same bed

I'll just wait two months and keep my money. :fool:

Here again, Ford robbed the XLT for parts to build high end trucks. Now I know there are a few, but not many people want to spend $90,000 on an off road truck to drive to deer camp through heavy brush, sitting on leather seats with dual climate control.

First come first serve would have worked better, IMHO.

Hah yep exactly.  Now I’m hoping I get mine before deer season.  I didn’t want to throw a deer on top of my escape, but it’s leaning that way now.

I trimmed a few options, got the value package, and it really ended up only being a couple thousand more but I do like having basic stuff vs tech/fancy.

Yes. Robbing Peter's XLT to build Paul's high trim truck.  We "lesser customers" who have ordered "lesser trucks" are being treated in a lesser manner by Ford managers. Instead of first come first serve...

And what really rubs the salt in, many people buying high trim trucks where UTT/PTBA is standard don't even want the option.

I feel your pain.  I ordered an xlt tremor package, and waited two months to find out they are canceling that option on xlt’s, then had to reorder the truck in a lariat trim level for more money.  My new order is showing two months later so I guess I lost my place in line on top of spending more money.  Haha
